No soap for patients to clean their hands after using the bathroom. Only the garbage has been changed daily. The doctor refuses to give him his anti-anxiety medicine saying she wants to work on the issues causing the anxiety but nothing happens. Groups are a joke. Instead of a morning group, they have a morning check in where nothing happens. Additionally they've started a Reflection hour where the patients have to stay in their rooms for an hour to "reflect." This place has a minute amount of entertainment for the patients so they're already spending a portion of their day in their rooms. The staff says that this is something that should be happening every day but my son has been there for a week now and this is the first time. I feel like the staff just doesn't want to deal with the patients. I really like my son's social worker but he's probably the only good thing about this place.

This review is long over due since 2014 or so and it is awful to read about the experiences and…read moretragedies that are still occurring at this place out of a legitimate nightmare and should be shut down. It does not deserve even one star but there is no option to give it 0 or -100. It is not safe here. They will place one single young female alone with men much older who the stuff does not care when you are harassed, sexually or in general. I was on the phone trying to call my father when a man who had been following me around for days grabbed me from behind, groped my body, as well as my neck. All while my father was hearing this on the phone. He was horrified and slept in the parking lot until any real medical staff would show up as they are hardly there and are gone if you are there during any weekend times. They do not listen to you, your safety seems to be of no concern to them. The condition of their units are atrocious. People were openly sick from the conditions, a place of despair with no one cleaning up blood, bathrooms, or general areas. I saw many people get physically sick from eating the only food you are forced to eat. The food was disgusting and they seemed to claim this place offers therapy but all they have you do is draw pictures like you are in kindergarten, host both sex yoga sessions in the hallways with men, who in front of me twice assaulted each other into a fight of who could stand directly behind the one or two young female patients there (I must have been 20, the other girl maybe 18-19), out of the rest mainly older men with serious aggressive anger issues with staff showing no concern of the fight results in you in the middle of it. There are no real therapists and any doctor or person with authority may give you 5 or less minutes and then abandon you. I believe they incited mental illness or worsened it for many people there, give almost everyone the same day time dose or 300 plus dose of antipsychotics despite some people being over 300 points vs some under 100. Even without being a doctor that did not seem normal at all You may get 20 minutes outside if it is not raining, they have enough staff, and if some idiot was found with a lighter or tried to smoke inside every single persons right to go outside was taken away, even if it occurred every time in the men's bathroom. Also, you are allowed to smoke outside but people have to ask the staff outside for a lighter if they happen to have their own personal one LOL. Sounds like prison, and ridiculous. It took the staff hours to secure the patient who assaulted me and all they did was put him a 30 minute "time out" and then let him about around everyone. Good luck making any phone calls, they just have coin operated phones and if anyone calls you most likely no one will tell you. I could literally write an entire book about the most awful and disgusting things I have seen occur in only a short time here. This place is a nightmare, poorly staffed, ran by awful doctors who have directly led to people losing their lives by medical reactions to treatments they provide that or have killed themselves. If you need help, do not ever go here, or send anyone you love here. If you did not already have PTSD when arriving here, you will Most likely leave with it a severe way.

March 3, 2021: One year, 7 physical therapists, and 12 doctors later, I have been diagnosed with…read morecongenital hip dysplasia, cam impingement, and they also found labral separation. It is believed that my legs were pulled in the position they had me during the botox procedure causing further hip pain. It is unfortunate that I have been treating my symptoms in the wrong order as many of my symptoms did not manifest until the day I had my procedure at Maze Clinic. I am still having moderate to significant pain in my groin, lower abdomen, lower back, and have consistent vulvodynia and pudendal neuralgia symptoms as well SI joint inflammation consistent with sacroiliitis/degenerative change. All of these symptoms began immediately after having the botox procedure here with the aggressive dilation. May 2, 2022:  I recently had stage IV endometriosis (adhesions, lesions, and cysts) excised in addition to having two PAOs where my hip dysplasia, impingement, and chondral labral separation, and SI joint inflammation were also causing significant pain. The endometriosis was everywhere, specifically behind the rectovaginal area, and most likely present when I had this procedure as well because I had debilitating dysmenorrhea that was overlooked. Endometriosis can cause deep dyspareunia, superficial dyspareunia, vulvodynia symptoms, hypertonic pelvic floor and more. It's just unfortunate that none of these were diagnosed or appeared earlier prior to doing this procedure. This is a common problem as many people face dismissal and are misdiagnosed over and over. I was told by many physicians and physical therapists including this place before this treatment that I just needed the "extra push." My vaginismus/hypertonicity is just a symptom compared to everything else. I also most likely have congenital neuroproliferative vestibulodynia - overgrowth of nerve endings at the vulvar vestibule - which is often mistaken for vaginismus for many patients. There is a tremendous lack of knowledge/literature in the relationship between hip abnormalities and pelvic floor dysfunction. Hip dysplasia and/or impingement can lead to hypertonic pelvic floor and labral tears which can cause pelvic pain, SI joint inflammation, and symptoms that mimic pudendal neuralgia/vulvodynia and bladder urgency. Most pelvic floor PT exercises STRETCH and RELAX the muscles surrounding the hip, which is actually the OPPOSITE of what you need to do with hip abnormalities (dysplasia and impingement) since it can cause further damage and exacerbate pain symptoms. The bottom line is that I needed real surgical interventions - 3 SURGERIES with leading surgeons before I could even come close to treating the sexual dysfunction and hypertonicity. No amount of dilation or botox would have helped any of this. My hips, buttocks, and lower back have little to no pain anymore and strengthening has had the best benefit for me. To both patients and providers, attend an ISSWSH annual meeting or course to learn more about sexual health and stay up to date with the recent literature. Pelvic floor dysfunction can have many causes and misdiagnoses are common. If you are someone with a long history of pelvic pain, tightness, and the pain exists not just internally there may be something else at play. Also, if pelvic floor PT doesn't help or makes things worse, please go to another specialist and/or have a sacrum, pelvis, lumbar spine, and hip MRI/CT scan first. Please consider hip abnormalities, endometriosis, SI joint dysfunction, and vestibulodynia, and screen your patients for lower back, lower abdomen, and hip pain too.

When I did the consultation I felt like she was not sympathetic to what I was feeling. I was getting emotional over the phone and she did not help me feel better about a tough situation. She was also not helpful in providing any direct information about what could be going on with me even if it was an assumption based on what I told her.

I met Dr. Ciardullo back in 2003 when I made an appointment to see him for a breast augmentation consultation. This was going to be the first big surgery I'd ever have and I was nervous about the appointment so I brought my mom with me. During the visit he made us feel very comfortable, explaining the whole process from start to finish, pre-op, post- op etc. He listened to our concerns and spent the visit answering all of our questions without rushing. After going over the details of the procedure, he gave us a tour of his operating suite (which I felt was more of a comforting setting as opposed to being in a large hospital). After the visit my mother and I decided this was the doc for us! We booked the appointment and came in a few weeks later for the procedure. I was very nervous the morning I went in but he reassured me everything would go smoothly (and it did!). The anesthesiologist and nurses who took care of me were all very sweet - in fact, the anesthesiologist, nurses and front staff that were present for my breast augmentation over 10 years ago were also there for my rhinoplasty last month! Since having my first surgery in 2003, I have gone to him for every procedure I've had (including a chin implant, fillers and botox). I have referred friends and family who have also had rhinoplasties, breast augmentations and abdominoplasties (tummy tuck). The office is always welcoming and I couldn't be more pleased with their services. It's very important when booking any cosmetic procedure that you go to a doctor who is experienced, professional and honest with all his patients - And Dr. Ciardullo is all of that and more!

My first annual visit was so pleasant I was excited to receive care here but once I became pregnant the problems started to arise. I did not receive a pregnancy packet of information for a healthy pregnancy or the REQUIRED discussion with their nurse until my 20 week appointment. I was asked if my morning sickness continuing into 20 weeks was a "me problem" I did not receive information meant to be distributed at 28 weeks, until 32 weeks Their website was 10 years outdated and had incorrect information about birth practices at Phelps hospital, when I found this out I tried to contact them to get answers and was pacified being told they would "get to the bottom of this and make sure to get you answers" instead I was scheduled with a new midwife who when I asked about this, I was told she had no idea and didn't know any of the hospital practices. It then took additional weeks for them to not correct their website, but completely remove it. When I continued to bring up my concerns over lack of information on hospital policy I was told I should look into home birth options (it was too late in my pregnancy to find a home birth midwife who was accepting new clients with my due date). I never ended up meeting all the midwives before my delivery I went to the hospital for prodromal labour and was told I should stay since "they were going to induce me tomorrow anyway" but I was never informed of this previously. I opted to leave and was informed by a nurse I needed to sign an AMA that I was choosing to leave. I asked the midwife on call if this was true and she said she did not know the hospital policy. I was constantly being hounded to schedule an induction despite multiple refusals and a MFM doctor telling me my placenta looked healthy and he had no concerns about me waiting until 41+4 to induce. When I did go into labour (not induced) I was terrified to find out that the midwife who I felt completely uncomfortable with due to multiple negative appointments was on call. I told myself I just had to wait 12 hours and a new midwife would be on- nope! Kathy Herron was on call for 24 hours and made my labour so uncomfortable. She was rude, hostile and honestly traumatizing. She laughed at me while I tried to work through labour pain and was having a difficult time. She continually asked me to break my waters which I constantly refused then they "just broke in her hands". I fully believe she broke my water without my consent even though I made it clear that was NOT what I wanted. When it was time to push, I told her I needed a moment to prepare myself mentally and she said "most women would be happy right now". She wanted me to give birth how she wanted and when she wanted. I wish I could give my experience 0 stars and am genuinely afraid for other women to have this same experience.

I felt at ease and prepared for my delivery . This is my third baby. I've delivered with both an OB and another Midwife practice. This has been my best experience, not to mention my best recovery, definitely because of how my delivery went. It was not easy to find a midwife practice in westChester but I'm glad I landed here and found a practice that aligned with my vision. From wait time, insurance, prenatal and post natal visits, I could not ask for more.
