A fellow parent on our school district parent FB site recommended Dr. Lili Kung. My husband and I…read morehave now seen her twice. We had to have our wellness checks as required for his workplace health insurance program. She is in-network for UnitedHealthcare's Consumer DIrected High Deductible Plan (Choice Plus). We booked the initial appointment on Zocdoc, but received a call the next day from the receptionist Gizelle that Zocdoc had triple-booked that time slot. Zocdoc has issues, but once you have the initial appointment, you'll never have to use it again. We have made subsequent appointments directly. You will receive an SMS reminder 2 days before the appointment and an automated voice message to confirm the appointment one day before I would also say to ignore the strange comment about rude staff. Gizelle has been the model of sweetness and light. I even managed to catch her today to pick up some test results after office hours because I didn't realize the office closed at 3pm on Fridays and she welcomed me as usual. Dr. Kung's assistant is relatively new to the practice. I think her name is Azaliah (not sure about the spelling). She did a great job with the pre-consultation checks, including the bloodwork - which I still don't like to do, even as an adult. She was calm and friendly. Dr. Kung herself is gentle and professional. I'm still slightly overwhelmed by the number of specialists to which she referred my husband and me - 5. We'll have to work our way slowly through them as we're still in the midst of settling into our new home and will only be getting our shipment either next week or the week after. I appreciated her making herself available to answer some questions I had between appointments. My parents are retired, so I checked and confirmed that Dr Kung is also in-network for: AARP MedicareComplete Essential (HMO), AARP MedicareComplete Plan 1 (HMO), AARP MedicareComplete Plan 2 (HMO), UnitedHealthcare Nursing Home Plan 1 (PPO SNP) and UnitedHealthcare Nursing Home Plan 2 (HMO SNP). Will be bringing my parents there as soon as their Medicare Part B coverage kicks in in July.

Yells at her patience and hangs up when having a conversation on the phone with patient.read more

god this place was so ass dude…read more first off, i was sa'd by a patient, and i told a staff who said 'sorry to hear that' ???? what??? same mf spat on his hand and humped my salad and nobody bat an eye, except the other patients. all the staff were ass, too. they were on their phones and got salty when you asked them for something. there was also nothing to do. also, quiet time after dinner made me nearly go insane, so i would request for my computer to do schoolwork, which was allowed bc i had accommodations. social workers actually did their jobs. a few of the nurses were also so sweet, one let me on her phone. another patient gave me a dollar for being cute, so that was cool i think. they started me on the only helpful meds i've ever been on so that's a w!! also no need to ask to unlock the washroom doors, i was so happy, every other place i went to had that stupid ass policy, or maybe it was an adolescent unit thing, idk one lady pissed n shit on the women's tv room couch. not that the women's tv room was good, tho, it was 2000's channels, n that's it. men's tv got roku, we didn't :( but the men also suffered bc some big back fought anyone that tried to take the remote from him and no staff did shit. they also wouldn't let me shit n piss after i ate, but i was there for suicide n anorexia/bulimia, so ig that made sense, but it still pissed me off i was there for a week and almost lost my mind chat... adult unit, i was 19, like, in febuary

Places like St. Vincent's are the reason I have PTSD. Literally EVERYTHING during my experience at…read moreSt. Vincent's was horrible, traumatizing and some of it was even potentially illegal. There were almost zero therapy groups while I was there and staff fell asleep one night, allowing a male patient to enter a female patient's room while she was sleeping. I was locked in an office with a male psychiatrist during my intake (this was potentially illegal). My rights as a disabled person were ignored that night and the male psychiatrist who locked me in a room with him came up to the unit I was on the 2nd night to tell me my dad had been out of control when he was trying to lawfully enter the office while I was having my intake (he WAS NOT out of control). This same psychiatrist also tried to convince me that my autism was not a real disability. I also woke up the first morning to find a male employee sitting in my room which was highly inappropriate. There is so much more I could say about how horrible my time at St. Vincent's was but that's enough for now. The only good thing about being at St. Vincent's was interacting with the other patients. We basically formed our own therapy group and took care of each other (we called ourselves the Breakfast Club).
