Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the orthotics for my left foot. I received the initial pair in August 2014, and had to come back to Dr. Peters roughly five or six times over the subsequent nine months. I certainly wished the troubles I had were not so time-consuming, but what was appreciated was that despite this, Dr. Peters spent the extra time and worked on adjustments to ensure I was comfortable. Further, he agreed not to charge me any co-pays, and as the calendar year changed (and my insurance deductible kicked in), Dr. Peters agreed not to charge me at all for the final few appointments. He was committed to making sure the orthotics worked for me, even without earning additional fees for the added services. I am appreciative of the high level of care Dr. Peters continues to provide even though, at this point, the economics for him and his office are unfavorable. The extra care goes a long way, and I am happy to share this experience with the community since I know we often complain about patient care elsewhere.

He also tried selling me expensive orthotics not covered by insurance. So, he sold me OTC orthotics which did not relive the pain. The pain flared up again as soon as I resumed working out. His front desk assistant is terrible. Spells names wrong, sends you other patients' invoices, or refuses to send one at all. I was overcharged at all four of my visits. The office is refusing to submit my last insurance claim. They are also refusing to refund the money they owe me. Don't waste your time with this corner store doctor who rips off their patients.

On my second visit Dr. R's office manager was not present and another patient was there along with me. I felt my visit/re-examination was much too short and rushed. Dr. R told me that day that he was going to have his office manger contact my insurance company ASAP to try to get authorization for physical therapy and orthotics. He told me that his office manager would then call me to inform me what my insurance company approved. I never heard back from the office manager. I decided to see another podiatrist who correctly diagnosed my problem, stopped the pain, and fitted me for orthotics in 2 visits.

When I walked in, the nurse was waiting for me with paperwork that needed to be filled in. I filled it in quickly , she entered all the information in the computer and did all she can to get me in with the doctor immediately. I then I went on to sit with Dr. Marzano. He had quite the personality and was so friendly. As nervous as I was, he offered advice and explained everything to me including what I can do as a preventative for the future. Needless to say I walked out of there very happy, and with a great feeling that I found a podiatrist for all my footcare needs, including mine, my husband and my son. I will absolutely recommend him to all my family members as well!

He was very helpful in explaining the root cause and how my foot works. I am feeling a lot better now that I am doing stretches and have orthotics. Also, it's worth noting that he helped advise me on what over-the-counter orthotics to try, since my insurance doesn't cover them. He even helped me to custom fit them to my feet with adhesive pads, during a follow up appointment. The first time I went the waiting room was very busy and the staff did seem a little stressed that day, but the next time I made sure to get an early morning appointment and everything was much better. I don't blame anyone for that. I just know that I prefer to go early when it's quieter.

I ordinarily do not write reviews, however, based upon my most recent experience with Dr. Cushner…read moreand/or his office, I feel that it is incumbent upon me to do so. I started seeing Dr. Cushner about 8 years ago for various knee and shoulder pain and other issues. At that point, I was able to get an appointment without much difficulty. As time went on, I made sure to schedule the earliest appointment available as the wait time upon my arrival kept getting longer and longer (many times, over an hour). At one point, about 4 years ago, when I was supposedly his first appointment of the day, I waited for an over an hour in his waiting and exam rooms. When I complained to him about the wait time and that I was supposedly his first appointment of the day, he arrogantly indicated, that if I did not like it, I should go elsewhere, which I did. Fast forward to this week. As indicated above, I started seeing another orthopedist at Westmed, who was great. When I called for an appointment with her, I was informed that she had left the practice. So, I bit the bullet and made an appointment with Dr. Cushner. When I arrived, his waiting room was literally so overcrowded that people were waiting in the hall. After waiting for close to 30 minutes, somebody came out and indicated to all present, that there would be over an hour's wait. I promptly got up and left. So, if you have nothing to do with your time and want to be seen by an arrogant and self-important doctor, make an appointment with Dr. Cushner. Otherwise see somebody else.

I have yet to meet a doctor as thorough, detailed and exhaustive in her research, as Dr. Jill Berkowitz-Berliner. I needed to have a complicated, corrective foot surgery (hallux rigidus being the main issue), and interviewed several podiatric doctors/surgeons in Westchester NY, and Jill was by far the best. She also has a caring bedside manner, along with a positive and delightful personality. My surgery was a great success, taking place at Northern Westchester Hospital (great care there as well). I cannot recommend this team enough!

I decided to go to Dr. Cappa after reading positive patient reviews posted on doctor ratings sites. FIRST: He has a wonderful, gentle bedside manner. Sensing my anxiety (I was anticipating the procedure to be uncomfortable), he immediately put me at ease. SECOND: He did what needed to be done swiftly and with such skill that I didn't feel a thing! THIRD: Great staff. They were tightly booked when I called for an appointment. But understanding that I was in pain, they squeezed me into his schedule. FOURTH: The office is in a nice, stand alone house. It is NOT one of those mega-medical group with hundreds of doctors and staff. I like the personalized feeling of this doctor. Highly recommend Dr. Cappa.
