Wife and I stumbled into Weirs in April 2024 on our way home from an eclipse party in Arkansas, and just had an absolutely wonderful experience with the ambience, the food and the host, owner Patrick Weir. It was such a good experience that I made it our first mandatory stop on our Route 66 trip to Kingman, Arizona. Patrick was not there, but our hostess, Tammi, just made it an absolutely wonderful experience again. While my mate had a dinner salad, they had an excellent vinaigrette dressing, I had the chicken kebab over a bed of rice. To my surprise what I assumed would be a light meal for $8.95, was the bed of rice and it all meat kebab with a side salad with that same wonderful vinaigrette, flatbread and really really good seasoned rice. An excellent experience again. On my trips West through misery, I will always stop here. I suggest you stop here, and they are now open on Monday evenings read more

My wife and I live in Steelville and stop here often. The staff is always super friendly and the menu has a good variety of starters, sandwiches and more. Our favorite appetizer is the hummus dip which is served with pita wedges and cucumbers. It's delicious and they arrange everything differently every time (it seems) Not a big thing...just fun. Hot day so we're opted to eat inside but their outdoor patio is very inviting. Their staff work hard and the owner, Patrick, works even harder. He's a friendly guy who is constantly checking on his customers, as is our waitress. We ordered the fried mushrooms to split and really enjoyed them. My lunch was the hummus plate with warm grilled pita, two kinds of hummus and carrot sticks. Delicious and maybe house made? RRR got the special, bratwurst with sauerkraut and grilled onions, served with handcut French fries. He especially like the sauerkraut. It was all good! read more

My husband and I went there for the first time while we were vacationing. We thought it sounded really neat. The restaurant was in a former Mobil Station from the 1920s and we loved the nostalgia of it. We each ordered a bowl of their chicken wild rice, soup, shared a grilled cheese, and ate the Brussel sprout appetizer they offered. My husband is a big brussels sprout fan and so I just wanted him to get that so he could try it and we ate it all, but I was not that crazy about it. I thought it tasted somewhat burnt, but in all fairness, I'm not a brussels sprout fan. My husband said it was pretty good, he never had it that way before, and would give that appetizer a four. We split a grilled cheese sandwich and neither one of us were very crazy about that. I thought it needed to be cooked or grilled longer and to me, it tasted somewhat greasy from the grill. My husband also thought it tasted greasy, without any buttery taste to it. We both like the soup and I'm glad they offered that because it was my favorite thing. I wouldn't say it excelled in taste for us, but it was okay. Unless it was the only restaurant available at the time, I don't think we would go there again, but maybe some others would like their food selection more than we did. We also weren't as crazy about the atmosphere as we thought we'd be. It seemed dark in there and it just wasn't what we like. read more

It's totally worth it just for the flash-fried Brussels sprouts! Everything fresh, well prepared, and abundant in portions. Service was quick and friendly. I also had a Cesar salad with gyro meat and my husband had the three-cheese grilled cheese with steak fries. Both delicious. The patio was incredibly well arranged with tons of flowers but it was a bit hot to sit there. We're coming back! read more

i've only been at this place one time and I will say that the burger was pretty good. The service was very nice. The weight staff was friendly and they were attentive to getting our drinks refilled. I would visit this place again and they have really great decor lots of old photos, only complaint I have about this place is parking, and it always looks like it's closed but believe me they're open. read more

Absolutely stunning, if this place was a man, it might be possibly the only man to pleasure a woman into a finish. Waitresses were nice too. Not a 6-10 skipped rock on a river type of nice, rather than a perfect circular popped firework type of nice. The food was a solid 8-9/10. The only mid part about this restaurant whatsoever is the parking. Finding an open parking spot on a busy night is like Helen Keller trying to find a peanut on the ground in Walmart. Walked in to the restaurant, no one to greet me, no signs saying to seat yourself. When I finally get acknowledged, a girl says have a seat anywhere. 5 minutes go by when another person gives me a menu, another couple minutes later he takes my order. At the 30 minute mark after taking my order I start writing this review to pass the time. More people come in and I notice how slow service is for them too. I get it in today's world trying to get help is so difficult. My order finally arrived at the 42 minute mark. Very disappointed on how my burger and fries came out. The bun was so saturated in grease, that I had to eat my burger with a fork. Was tasty but not the normal way to eat a burger. Maybe I just came in on a bad day for them. Hopefully they don't have too many days like that, because that's not good for business. read more

Had a Cesar Salad with gyro meat added on top. The salad was perfect and with gyro meat a very pleasant combination. The human plate we ordered was great too. Human was obviously homemade and very fresh. Lots of pita bread just right. Service was attentive and friendly. (Even met the owner.) A good time, one which we plan on doing more often. Just happened to find this adorable restaurant on 66 as we were driving through. It was an old gas station but really decorated nice--extremply clean but still had the cute car vibe with pictures, pillows, and other decor. the food we ordered was great but then they also offered us a wing to try. I would hate to see the chicken this wing came from--it was huge. Very crispy breading not all breading like some wings--tons of chicken. A wing for 2 I would say. The owner ??? Came over to ask where we were from & where we were headed. He gave us a wonderful suggestion to stop at Dogwood Canyon. We had never heard of it but we were so happy he gave us the tip. It was beautiful and we spent a day there. Can not thank him enough. If you want great food, very nice atmosphere, over and beyond A+ service, stop in Weir on 66. Beautifully re-envisioned, historic service station. Plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel at home. BONUS good food that's reasonably priced. The chicken kebab was great and the spinach salad hit the spot. The hummus was fresh and tasty. The pita was delicious and warm. Wow!! Food was absolutely incredible and the staff was amazing too. We got the toasted ravioli to start and were pleasantly surprised at how big they were. We pulled off the interstate planning to visit another eatery but Weir on 66 caught our attention. We seated ourselves and were quickly greeted with menus and a drink. I ordered the Brussel sprouts and a burger with egg (I cannot remember the menu name). My friend ordered the gyro. I am not a fan of Brussel sprouts, most of the time I'd rather eat rocks but when I see something different, I try it. The sprouts are flash fried and drizzled with balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese....yes! They are as good as they found and Theportion is generous too say the least. Now, I am a burger snob. It's not hard to cook a burger but it's hard to make a GREAT burger. This burger was great. The egg was perfect. The bacon between the 2 smash burger patty's instead of on top was genius. The cheese was hanging off the sides...HELL YA! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I was too busy gnawing on my burger to pay attention to my friends gyro but if he didn't complain, it must've been good! read more

They need to update their hours. For a place like this that is right off the highway and relies on tourist traffic, they should realize how important it is to have updated information on Yelp. People are driving by looking for food and it's really disappointing to think a place is open only to find out they are closed when you get there. I guess they close at 6pm on Sundays or so an employee told us when we walked in at 6:45. Went down to Frisco's a couple blocks away and had a great meal. read more

We've been coming here for many years. It has been our "go to" spot when we come in town. Honestly, we have never been disappointed with the food. We recently brought friends with us and we ordered the onion rings and the * best* brussel sprouts. They also catered to our friend who can't eat bread due to a gluten allergy. The owner is super nice and really trying to get the business to come to life. We recommend this place to anyone one we know who is driving through the area. It has a close proximity to the local floating resorts and the interstate. Great environment, food, and staff. read more
