Review on the service dept and service advisor. Upon arrival the service advisor I was assigned to Iman Azimi had me go into the lobby while he looked at the car and even opens the hood, after a few minutes he calls me back to look at the car and shows me the engine area with the hood open, he points at what looks like very recent markings on the engine cover and says they are from a rodent or some type of critter crawling around the engine bay and suggests a $190 rodent repellent service. The markings he was pointing had clearly been done by him as if looks he just grazed the surface with his finger tips. That is why he had me walk away and wait for him while he opened the hood and touched the dusty engine cover. There was no real signs of rodent damage. Of course I declined the service but a service advisor faking "evidence" of rodent damage to sell an overpriced and unnecessary service is extremely scammy and deplorable on both him and the dealership. It's a disgrace to Weir Canyon Honda that their service advisor resorts to pedaling their services with fraudulent evidence. I've been going here for a couple of years already. We bought our Honda somewhere else but have been going here since it's closer and up to recently the service has usually been good. I'll make sure to make the public especially elderly or owners less knowledgeable about cars aware of this disgraceful scam. read more

Be Careful -- Review Every Single Page Before You Sign I've purchased vehicles from dealerships many times, and I've never experienced anything like this. I went to this dealership already knowing exactly which vehicle I wanted. I made it clear to the salesperson, Isa, that I wanted the process to be as quick and easy as possible. I wanted to sign the paperwork, finish the deal, and leave. Unfortunately, my mistake was trusting the process and not reading every single document I signed. Looking back, I feel like that trust was taken advantage of. After reviewing my paperwork, I discovered that a Honda Care extended warranty had been added to my contract, and it was the most expensive option. On top of that, an anti-theft protection product had also been included. Neither product was verbally explained to me, and I was never properly informed that I was agreeing to purchase them. In fact, I had specifically told them that I do not purchase extended warranties. Between these add-ons, approximately $6,000 was added to my auto loan. My monthly payment would have been approximately $100 less without these additional products. That is a huge amount of money to add to someone's loan without clearly explaining what they are paying for. The way everything happened makes me question the practices of Isa, the salesperson, and Kyle, the finance manager. I made it clear that I wanted a quick, straightforward transaction, and I was left feeling that my trust and desire to make the process easy were taken advantage of. I find it extremely concerning that these products ended up in my contract without being properly explained to me. When I discovered what happened, I started taking steps to cancel the products. I was able to cancel the extended warranty, but I was initially told that the anti-theft protection could not be canceled because it was an add-on. I contacted the anti-theft company directly, and they told me the product had never been activated. I was charged for a product that the company told me had never even been activated. After I pushed the issue, the dealership eventually told me they would cancel it as well literally only because it was never activated . This experience has left me seriously questioning the dealership's sales and finance practices. I buy vehicles from dealerships regularly, and I understand that additional products are offered. There is nothing wrong with offering an extended warranty or anti-theft protection, as long as customers are clearly informed and knowingly agree to purchase them. That was not my experience here. I even wonder whether the dealership's office cameras have audio recordings. If they do, I would encourage management to review the conversation and verify whether these products were ever explained to me. For a larger dealership, I expected a much more professional and transparent experience. Instead, I had to spend additional time investigating charges and trying to cancel products I never knowingly agreed to purchase. My advice to anyone buying a vehicle here: read every single page before signing, question every charge, and verify your monthly payment and total amount financed. Do not assume that something you verbally declined will automatically be left off your contract. I'm sharing my experience so other customers can be careful and know what to look out for. I have been a customer of Weir Canyon Honda for over 20 years, and this is by far the worst service experience we have ever had. My daughter brought her car in for service and was supposed to pick it up last Friday. Unfortunately, we were told that a machine in their Service Department malfunctioned and damaged her tire rim. Bruce told us they would order the necessary part and replace the damaged rim and schedule for pick up Tuesday. By Tuesday, we still had no update. My daughter texted, called, and left a voicemail, and even tried contacting the Service Department directly. No one responded. Now it is Wednesday at 1:40 p.m. We finally reached someone, only to be told that both the service advisor and technician had already left for the day. 1:40 PM? Left for the day ? This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The damage happened while the car was in their care, yet we have had to repeatedly call and follow up just to find out what is happening. After more than 20 years as a customer, I expec ted much better communication and customer service from Weir Canyon Honda. At the very least, someone should take responsibility, keep us informed, and give us a clear timeline for repairing the damage they caused. read more

We were looking for a Honda Odyssey van, and we scoured the internet for the best deal. We saw 3 in the OC and LA area, were from SD and would make the drive out if it was worth it. We saw Weir's pricing, put a quote request online and Hooman called us to discuss. We told him we need to know the price out the door and not the bullsh*t other dealerships add on. We've bought a CRV in the last few years, and we know what MSRP is, then the dealership adds on their "protection package" which comes with a extra cost of $2-$3k. Hooman made sure he's going to sell us the car at the price that it shows online. We went and it took a total of 2 hours (versus the normal 4-6 hours). There was some negotiation as we had a trade in and the alarm system, but we liked that he was able to meet us half way. He was a busy man. It was a good buying experience from the Norm Reeves in Vista, CA. There was some yelling at Norm Reeves but not here at Weir. Eli did our paperwork and it was super fast! Friendly guy. Not impressed with the service department. Multiple directions to pull into service line. One direction where drivers got instance attention but the other direction got much less attention. We pulled in, watch a car come in from the other direction and got attention in a minute and a service member drove off with their car. In our lane, the car in front of us had not even gotten attention yet, nevermind us, one car behind them My second issue is when making an appointment for an oil change we we quoted 1 hour. Then getting here minutes before our appointment time, we were quoted at least 2 hours. Also, when we originally bought the car here new, we we told we'd get an additional free oil change because it took them 4 hours to get the car here when they said it was just down the street. That was a lie, the car was in the desert 2 hours away. That 4 hours was our salesman driving 2 hours out and two hours back. Even after we kept asking what it taking so long, the head salesman told us the car will be here soon. We'd ask when over and over again when will it be here, and we kept being lied to. Phone conversation quoted one price 'out the door' for 4 tires and as expected price upon appointment arrival was $200+ above quote. After conversation with manager price was dropped back. Although wait time was quoted 1hr 45 mins, it was actually 3 hours before the tires were installed and hopefully aligned. After arriving home I inspected tires and found greasy white gunk on the tires as well as the rims. Black grease on one fender as well. Seemed as though because they gave me the lower price it wasn't necessary to do a professional clean up job. Not sure I will return to this service department. read more

Called Weir Canyon Honda and spoke with Mac and made an appointment to look at a specific car the next day at 9 AM. Arrived a little late - 9:15 AM, and as we arrived, Mac was pulling the freshly washed car around to their outside showroom area. Loved that it was the exact car I was looking at (I had another dealership show me a different version of what I was looking for instead of the actual car) and he introduced himself, shook hands and we were able to view the car. Mac with no pressure at all, let us look around and when we were ready to start the test drive, Mac was ready and off we went. The car was great! 2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport in white is what we were looking at. When we arrived back at the dealership, there were water bottles already at Mac's workspace for my husband and I which was a nice touch. Mac went through the pricing and we were able to haggle a bit and got the best deal for us and exactly what we were looking for. Next we went to finance and met with Eli. Eli shook our hands, introduced himself and was very pleasant, down to earth and spoke slowly and clearly so I could understand everything he was saying. I even asked clarifying questions and Eli was great and explained everything perfectly. We signed everything, and had such a pleasant conversation with Eli about family, life, and just talking like we've been friends before. Everything was so seamless, effortless, and they really do care about you. I had such an awesome experience and I haven't bought a car in about 11 years so it has been awhile and didn't know what to expect, but Mac and Eli were awesome. I ask a ton of questions and really try to test their knowledge about the car and Mac and Eli both were put to the test with me and passed with flying colors! After calling a number of Honda dealers to schedule service for my Honda, I chose Weir Canyon Honda. One of the other dealers said they would follow up with a call to schedule an appointment and they didn't bother. In addition, Weir Canyon had really good ratings. Upon arriving, the team did a visual check of my vehicle and then I was introduced to Joshua Martinez was my service advisor. Joshua was professional and friendly. He wrote up the service for my recall repairs and an oil change. Joshua even unexpectedly offered me a Lyft ride for my return home. I found the customer lounge to be clean and comfortable and enjoyed a cup of cappuccino while I waited for my ride. The little coffee machine does a great job mixing up coffee drinks. There is also bottled water available. A few hours later, I received a text message announcing my vehicle was complete. When I picked up my vehicle everything in the interior has been covered and protected and the recall had been completed with no issues. I am very pleased with the service department at Weir Canyon Honda and will be scheduling all my future appointments with them. read more

Imagine my surprise that only 2yrs after purchasing a brand new van, I need to replace the battery (it's at 58%) and the cost is $450. The fancy gel battery should have lasted 4-7yrs. It is under limited warranty which I am now just barely on the outside of by a mere few hundred miles. (It's a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty.) Asking for help remedying this defective battery situation from a place that I spent $35K is reasonable. I was pretty upset the initial service guy couldn't help me so I requested to speak to the manager at 10:30am. At 4:05pm, no one had contacted me and I called again. This time, I did receive a call back after 20 or so minutes. But when the service manager retorts that he is very busy running two service centers, too busy to bother to call you back, and your expectation of a return phone call is completely unreasonable, there is clearly huge and fundamental problem at the dealership that goes beyond not being able to help with a warranty issue. Five hours is more than sufficient time to call a customer back. He actually said to me, "We have not mistreated you in any way." Maybe true but he also did not do a single thing at all - no deescalation, no problem solving (like offering a discount), no apology, no attempt to capture or retain valuable business. Exceptionally lame. I highly recommend you do not waste any of your precious time or money at Weir Canyon Honda. read more

Great Salesman, Atrocious Management If you are going to buy a car from Weir Canyon Honda, insist on working with Angel Gutierrez in sales and Kyle Gibson in finance. Both of them were fantastic, professional, and entirely pleasant to work with. I am only giving this dealership two stars--and I only returned to finish purchasing my 2024 Accord Hybrid--because I wanted to ensure Angel got his commission. The management team, however, is a completely different story. My experience with the sales desk was incredibly frustrating. After my initial test drive and credit application, a Sales Manager literally threw my file in the trash after just one day. They absolutely refused to negotiate on a vehicle that had been sitting on their lot for 26 days and had an open safety recall. I didn't have time to complete the deal the first day I test drove the car, so Angel arranged for his coworker to wrap things up with me the next day. When Iyman Imam and General Sales Manager Mike Youssef stepped in to close Angel's deal, their tactics felt incredibly slimy and dishonest. It was so off-putting that I actually walked out of the dealership that second day without buying the car. I returned the next week and closed the deal with Angel even though Sales Management refused to meet my pricing request. I later reached out directly to the General Manager, Mike Russell, to provide this feedback and see if they were willing to make things right for a customer. Instead of addressing his team's toxic sales culture, he was completely dismissive. This review is about their service technician who serviced my 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring on Thursday October 2nd 2025.Your service technician forgot to put the engine cover and left it on the side. While I was driving home it started making weird sound from under the hood. I came home and opened the hood and guess what the black rubber piece was on the side almost getting to get caught by radiator. I am going to email your service director and your general manager as this could have damaged my vehicle. I dont trust your service technicians any more and I dont even know if they changed my engine oil and filter and the rear differential fluid as I paid for it. I am going to request a refund.
