I have a love hate relationship with Wegmans. I hate that it is always so crowded it is very claustrophobic inducing. There is no good time to go except at night but by then everything is sold out. They have great prices for a lot of their store brand organic items but other prices are definitely high. They have delicious baked goods and prepared foods, however the hot bar is expensive seeing as it's by weight. They have a large and cheap organic/ natural section, that I like to peruse. The store is always dark, they really need to invest in different lighting. And as soon as you go beyond the frozen aisles it gets even darker. They never have enough cashiers. Most of them are nice but there are a handful of young cashiers that are rude. I also would love to see wegmans give money for reusable bags, it doesn't make much sense that they don't. They also have very specific rules like you can only buy prepared at the checkout lanes by the beer, if you e picked up a dessert for dinner or a loaf of bread - too bad, you MUST go to the other check lanes. Stupid rules like that, and a lack of cashiers and products deters me from shopping there. I usually only stop in late at night if I need something special that only they carry. read more

Sorry Wegmans, but your sushi tastes like it came from a Japanese mans a**hole. I'm not expecting amazing sushi for $5, but at least make it edible. This is the second and last time I waste money on sushi here. Either hire a new guy, or get some new ingredients. I immediately knew it was going to be bad when I opened the package and smelled fish. Sushi shouldn't have any odor. I took 2 bites and threw it out. I've never been so pissed over supermarket sushi. I bet gas station sushi tastes better than this. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. By far the best pharmacy i have ever been to. My wife and I have many health issues and have to use a pharmacy several times a month. Over the years we have used several of the big-name places and have always been very disappointed. Until now Wegmans has changed all of that. they actually call you when they say they will. Everyone in the section goes out of their way to do the best they can to help. For those people that say Wegmans is overpriced well my cost in copays has been cut in half since I started using them. I ordered a birthday sheet cake from here. My original order said no decorations, I just wanted one of images from their catalog because I was buying cake toppers to go with my theme to put around the image. I couldn't find any toppers so I went back a few days later and told them to decorate it around the image (I also choose a different picture). This was still a few days away from the pick up date. I picked it up the day of the birthday party and was extremely disappointed. The image looked like a sloppily cut out piece of paper. They didn't even cut off the trademark... there were no decorations.. just plain black text saying happy birthday and the name wasn't even centered. The image wasn't flat on the cake or had any icing to smooth around the edge of the image. It was ugly, plain,sloppy, huge disappointment. read more

I just want to say that I love Wegmans. This particular Wegmans is about 25 minutes from me, but I love it so much its worth the drive. (Though I wish I'd get one closer...) Many people associate Wegmans with Whole Foods, or other "high end" grocery stores, but let me tell you, it isn't expensive! Their produce section was actually larger, better stocked, cheaper, and had more local produce than the Whole Foods in Jenkintown. You could definitely spend a ridiculous amount of money if you wanted to though, because they have everything under the sun .... Their store brand is great, their produce is great, their meat department is great. You can eat there, get great take out meals, and even buy beer! It is a very addicting place.... read more

Talk about manna from heaven....this place was transcendent and put this foodie on cloud nine. I can see why Wegmans is rated number 1 by Consumer Reports in their listing for national grocery store chains. This place has EVERYTHING (except the kitchen sink). I can't vouch for the quality of their baked goods, prepared foods, store bread, etc. Still, if you need it, you can find it here. I was especially pleased to see their expanded area for international foods. In addition to the stuff I commonly see (Asian and Hispanic) I was pleased to see a whole section dedicated to the UK (HP sauce! PG Tips tea! Mushy Peas!). Ok so I love wegmans and it's really the only place I shop. Their Nature's Market is the bees knees and has a TON of vegan, non-gmo and gluten free options. However, tonight's visit was not ok. First, I wanted to buy a case of my favorite Kombucha. When I went to get it the only two cases were expired 1/30/17, that's in three days. So I grabbed and figured I'd ask for it half off. I got to the register and the floor supervisor refused. I said "you're just going to throw it away right? Why not let me pay you half so it doesn't go to waste?" She refused to listen to me and said she would get her manager. The manager never even came. 40% of food in this county is wasted and they would not even let me buy it half off. They still would have made money on it. Secondly, I bought a tube of this awesome organic polenta. I was stoked on it because it had chia in it. I get home and it expired 11/30/16. Now I have to make a trip back to exchange it. However, it's ok because I have to exchange the leaking Poland Spring water with the spout that I just found leaking all over my kitchen floor. read more

Most of my fandom for Wegs comes from the food court. Sure, it's a little expensive, but you get so many options. If you're ever having one of those days where you're craving pizza, sushi, and a Mexican fiesta at the same time, stop at Wegmans. You can get it all at once. The food is pretty decent and I like the whole seating operation on the second floor. They'll even give you a courtesy cup if you don't purchase a drink. As a grocery store, it's spacious. It's nice to look at that. They do a really nice job with merchandising and you do get a lot of options. Their regular prices are a little high, but you can catch some great sales on certain things. There's always a ton of people there, so they must be doing something right. read more

We're used to "Weggies:, as the Significant Other is from Upstate NY, the Ancestral Home of Danny Wegman, et. al. When they came to Princeton, we were pleased to be able to get the 'Upstate Local Favorites" like Nance's Mustard, and Vernor's all year round. Our closest one is now in Mt. Laurel, but it closes at midnight. This Warrington store is a 24/7. Most of the "SERVICE" areas (Asian Food Bar, Deli, Seafood, Sushi, etc.) seem to be closed by about 9 PM. Round about 12:30, it's just you and your cart and all the folks stocking the shelves. Then, they shut off half the lights. Hello? Do I get a Miner's Helmet or something? They have all the usual stuff you'll find at any Wegman's. Pharmacy Section, Organic Section, Train driving around over the dairy section and scaring the crap out of those who have not been forewarned. The floral section is beyond my budget. No, I don't want wilted flowers from a guy who beckons to me at a stop light, but I also don't want to drop $85 for an arrangment that either the kids or cat will eat or pee on. Most of the prepared foods cost about as much as a restaurant, so the 'savings' would be that you're not driving to another place to pick up take out. Potties? Clean. And they're consistently voted one of the Top 100 Best Places to Work, so the staff seems pretty happy. I'll take the Weggies any day over an Acme or Giant. As close to a "Clemens" as one can get these days, and actually, a little nicer. read more

I don't have anything negative to say about Wegman's. Everything is squeaky clean, organized, the staff are knowledgeble and helpful, and they have everything you could possibly want for cooking that special meal. Even the restrooms sparkle. I swear I'm shopping in the movie "Pleasantville." If you like red meat, their dry aged cuts are astounding, transcendental even. Easily the best red meat I have ever had is their dry aged prime rib, which is better than anything you can get at the top steak houses. At around $30/lb, it's pricey but you do indeed get what you pay for. Ladies, if you are trying to close the deal with that special guy, make him one of these and he'll be your slavish, zombified drone henceforth. Be sure to call ahead to order this special meat-candy. Before this store even opened, as soon as the Warrington Motor Lodge was torn down, and the construction was announced; I called Wegmans HQ to convert my State College store membership to Warrington. Yeah, a bit over-zealous, but when you've got the Weg-Love, you've just got it. (Similar to the "I waited 10 damn years for a Target" Love) Produce that is fresh, tasty and (fairly) reasonably priced, and lots of imported items that you just can't find at your local Acme. The selection, cleanliness, and general friendliness of the place put other neighborhood stores to shame. The REAL gem is the beer selection. Now, for those of you reading this from other states; let me explain: Pennsylvania is an old school place. We've got Benny Franklin (both the real and the guy we pay to "play him"), we've got the Nation's first Zoo, we've even got an entirely native system of giving directions based on "where {this and that} used to be." Sadly, we've also got stuff so antiquated that it doesn't possibly work but continues to exist b/c "its always been that way" (ever tried to park at the Zoo?). This includes Blue Book Laws, which basically prohibit the sale of beer anywhere other than "bottle shops" (6 pack stores attached to pizza shops... hard to find and huge markup) and "beer distributors" (warehouses). This leads to everyone's favorite felony: "Run your Booze in from New Jersey or Delaware." It is really hard to find a good selection of brews. Even harder to find ones selling less than a case. Wegmans saves the day. Six packs, growlers, locals and imports. Even occasional tastings. Hurray! All with a friendly side of groceries and enough bulk candy to make Willie Wonka cry saccharine tears. If I had any complaint its that Saturday and Sunday is way too crowded with people who seem to be too awed to shop. But I can't blame them. My first experience with Wegmans was at this very location. I haven't been the same since. I live in the Hudson Valley, which is a beautiful, scenic and historic area of New York. There are so many wonderful things around here, it would take days to list them. So let me just put something else into perspective: we do not have a Wegmans. I repeat, we do not have a Wegmans. My father in law pretty much LIVES at grocery stores. He's use $1.50 worth of gas to go to a store to save 50 cents on a dozen eggs. You get the idea... But we all can agree on Wegman's. It is a pleasure to shop here and the selection is great. If you are a comparisson shopper (and in our family - you are!), you can also nab some good bargains here. We got some terrific imported cheeses and yummy prepared foods here and made a gourmet picnic for a fraction of the cost of having it catered. Wegman's also does a fairly good job of appetizing/catering of their own - but we prefer to just buy the componenets and assemble them ourselves on trays. Wegman's is great. Truly an enjoyable shopping experience - great variety and excellent quality. I had a list of items for my daughter that she sent to me in a text (with pictures) and after asking an employee to direct me to where they might be she was very helpful and spot on, Found every item easily. I'm giving Wegman's a four star review for a few reasons: (1) It has a great Chinese Buffet and (2) they have a wide variety of loose tea. Wegmans' a great place you can go for dinner after a long day at work. It has more than just Chinese too, there's a wide variety of prepared dinners, sushi, hot bar (think fried chicken), and cold bar (think hoagies). There's a 2nd floor where you can eat in a quaint, silent atmosphere. The loose tea selection is great for a normal grocery store. Before discovering that Wegmans does loose tea, I'd drive up to 30 miles away to get some great loose tea. Wegmans' selection is not top notch for loose tea but they do offer a wide variety of teas that will please most tea fanatics. They also have tons of tea cups, kettles, infusers and bagged tea. I was impressed with the variety. This section is located in the very back of the store and not to be confused with the coffee area in the front of the store, or the food aisle that sells boxed tea. The reason the store's not getting a 5 is that it's too complicated for a simple grocery run. I went to pick up a few items and grab some tea and found the trip very difficult without knowing the layout of the store. I found myself wandering around a lot just trying to find where they may have a tub of cold mashed potatoes. I'd recommend the and applaud the shear variety of groceries here, but that's balanced out by the fact that the number of groceries makes a simple food run seem a daunting task. read more

So I have to be honest, today was my first day ever in a Wegmans. They are pretty far from home but today I had to make a special trip, were preparing for Easter. I made the trip up for a specialty item I can't sing at my local stores. Unfortunately upon arrival they didn't have any on the shelf. I approached the baker and explained the situation and showed on the website that they were in stock. Needless to say she went out of her way to package me up what I needed. It was a bit on the pricey side but I knew that going into it. I also shopped for a few items while there. The produce section while large doesn't really seem to be the freshest. The strawberries weren't the best. We did stop and get some of the organic snacks. They have a large variety of pre made meals etc. I would definitely stop up again for some. They all looked very good. Overall I would make the trip again, the customer service was very good. The lines were a bit long. Parking was a breeze. Store was organized and clean. Ok Whole Foods and Costco had a baby... and it's starting to show a lot of it's uncle Fairway's traits. Weird enough? It's the truth though, bulk items, gluten free, vegan, organic, cheese counter, deli counter, meat counter, more bread than I could even wrap my head around, hot food section, food made to order, beer and a bakery section that I was told by my friend was actually good. I was actually trying to stick to the whole gluten free thing so I wouldn't know where it rates for sure as far as supermarket bakery departments go. I have a thing for supermarkets and Wegman's is totally on my list. But since it's in states that are so far away (not really, I can just get to Fairway faster) I won't get to go that often. Just dream about it. Seriously got all my vacation food shopping done super fast and super cheap. Love it. read more

The good: Size, Cleanliness, Selection Wegmans in general is a very large store and this location is no exception. It is spacious with a wide variety and a nice ambiance. It is very clean and seems quiet. Although some items have been out of stock I wanted in the produce section, that is probably a Saturday specific phenomenon. Lastly, I love that Wegman's has many, many organic, healthy, and fair brands to choose from. Prices for these range from pricey, to surprisingly, competitive. But they also have many of the "standard" brands you might find at Walmart. I came to find healthier alternatives to common brands and Wegman's did not let me down. Their sales are pretty awesome too, just picked up a .99 big bag of baby carrots and HUGE bag of chopped kale for $2 and change. The bad: Poor customer service for wanting to use a coupon! Wegmans is awesome for their unexpected sale and clearance items. If you want to further save, you can use coupons, and they will double coupons up to .99! This location had a product deeply discounted and I had a coupon also for that item that would have made it free for me! When I tried to use my coupon, a green-shirted employee came over and he told me I could not use this coupon with a clearance item because Wegman's considers their clearance to be a coupon!!!! Now, I know for sure this is not the case and I will be calling the store to clarify, both for myself and so that the employee can be corrected and thus do a better job of helping future customers. read more

Finally I have a Wegman's nearby! Love the store. Absolutely love the fact that it's 24hrs! Cant beat that. Great staff. Cheese selection is wonderful. Better than my culture's Russian stores in fact!!! Oatmeal cookies are addicting and to die for! My kids even love Wegmans brand gluten free waffles. Somehow Wegmans has made gluten free taste good! Unfortunately it is very pricy. But it's def worth the splurge. Gouda cheese for example is cheaper here than at Trader Joe's or most Russian stores. I love that sometimes they have food to taste at the entrance... but its again extremely overpriced. Salmon in teriyaki for one is $11. ‍ $5 a pound for snow peas. read more

Great store in selection, layout, and prices. However, at my last visit I encountered three miserable people working in various areas of the store. From the counter to the check out. It really put a damper on things. I had out of state family with me that requested to visit wegmans because they don't have one where they live. I was embarrassed that these workers we encountered were so visibly rude. I wish management took a closer look at this. It's not enough to have all the things I mentioned I like about their store. You have to have good people too. Trader Joe's may be way smaller and not have a large selection, but every time I go the people couldn't be nicer and I really appreciate that. read more

Staff here is so awesome. I swear they do background checks or make them vow to life a life of " 24/7 Wegmans positive attitude" upon hire. Everyone is so nice. This is extremely helpful because after dealing with the parking lot of old people, bad drivers, bad parkers, and mayhem, a nice staff member to help you find your organic peanut butter really saves the day. the food quality here is always fresh- whether buying fresh produce or at their eat in /take out buffet. the buffet can be a little pricey at check out, but worth every penny. everything is fresh and nothing looks like it has been sitting. the store is HUGE which is awesome. organized and clean. lots of organic items - a whole organic section actually. fresh bean bar, hummus bar, cheese bar--- a BAR FULL OF CHEESE!! I come here for lunch at least 3x a week because I work around the corner and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. regardless of the bad drivers. read more

As with all other Wegmans, this does not disappoint (for the most point). Everything is fresh, and every aisle smells good. There is a wide array of products and brands to choose from. Other than some (most?) of the produce, everything is very well priced. My only issue with them is their terribly lazy fish department... and I'm starting to think this is how all Wegmans are! Why don't they clean their fishes for you? I bought a fillet, and I was excited because it still had the skin on, and the the fish monger was toting how great it was to cook it with the skin. I come home and the skin is covered in scales! How do you not descale a fish, then cut it up in fillets to sell?! read more

This is a HUGE supermarket. I went to this supermarket because I was told they had a big selection of international foods especially British and Irish. While I wasn't impressed with the selection of those products the store as a whole has a huge selection of food and fresh food on a whole. The sheer size of this store is impressive. It is out of my way so I will not be shopping here on a regular basis but when I am in the same area as one I will stop in. read more

I had not been to Wegman's for a long time until I heard they carry a vegan nacho cheese sauce I want. I know see that there is a place for Wegman's in my grocery rotation. That place is as the go-to for processed vegan foods when I'm looking for alternatives. Let me break down some pluses and minuses. Pluses: -They have Vegan Queso made by Food for Lovers. -They have the Daiya Jalepeno Garlic Havarti wedge. -They have WayFare Dairy Free "Cheese" Spreads. -They have Vegan Gourmet cream cheese. -They have Victoria Vegan vodka sauce. -You can get the 40 pound bag of Feline Pine for $14. -They have the big bag of salt and pepper flavor Pop Chips, not just the single serving bags. Minuses: -Lack of organic produce. -Lack of vegan hot bar foods. -Lack of vegan baked goods. Browsing their baked goods made me appreciate what Whole Foods offers in this department! read more

It really says something about the store when you still love it, even when it's over-crowded. That's Wegmans on the weekend. Thankfully, most of the other shoppers are kind enough not to be too pushy with their buggies and let the traffic flow at a turtle's pace. I love the selection of vegetables and fruits and can find things here my regular Giant (and even Whole Foods) doesn't carry. I also love the bakery, cheese selection, and the veg options in the fridge and freezer. The prices on "regular" grocery items are on par with Giant, and the Wegmans house brand is usually very good (the pasta sauce and soy milk are just as good as the national brands I like). Remember when you lived in a state where you could buy beer at the grocery store? Yeah, you can at Wegmans... you just have to go to a different line. I love being able to purchase a 6-pack or a big bottle of beer. The selection is great, and it's worth a second trip through the line. read more

For me, this get top marks just because they try to make Asian dim sum dishes and they are actually GOOD! 2. Variety in groceries to include gluten free, soy free, and any other free type products. Very friendly to people who have allergies, on diets, or just want to try something different. 3. Huge variety in choices of groceries. This is one of my favorite grocery stores around (Shh don't tell my boss... I work for a competitor!). The store is huge, and offers an inspiring, wide variety of foods as well as kitchen/home supplies and decor. What sets this store apart from other grocers is the massive size and selection they have to offer from specialty cheese, to baked goods, and I cannot forget about their bulk section! Their produce is great quality and always fresh. Being that I am a vegetarian, I am in love with their natural/organics department, which offers many healthy, vegetarian and vegan products to choose from including refrigerated and frozen goods. It takes so much willpower to not want to break the bank and fill my shopping cart to overflowing! Their hot bar/salad bar is also outstanding, and also offers a good selection of vegetarian foods, and I like that they switch up their offerings. For instance, they've been putting out Mexican inspired cuisine. I have fried shrimp in a cream sauce which reminds me a lot of a dish at PF Chang's that I love! I love my Wegmans. When I started dating my boyfriend I convinced him to make a trip with me. He went on and on about how expensive it is. Once we got there and I showed him around, he's a fan now too. It's far better than the local Giant or Shop Rite. It is interesting to note that some of the other local stores pay more money to work per hour than Wegmans. Hopefully, that has changed, considering how wonderfully I am treated by the employees when I shop at Wegmans.I find that hard to understand when this location in Warrington PA is one of the top grossing stores. Wegmans can well afford to pay workers higher wages. Now,I can understand why there is such a big turnover. From time and time again,the same job opportunities are repeatedly advertised on their employment website. I guess it is convenient for high school students or retired individuals who want to work or have something to do in their spare time.These team members go above and beyond to help customers and are a credit to the company. In addition, the store does not carry all the merchandise as it once did when it first opened and the back of the store now resembles a big box store. The hot foods have been cut down along with carry out food section and bakery cake section has been reduced along with the actual size of the cakes and pastries. All in all,I think it is a wonderful store to shop, it is clean and the workers are courteous. The pharmacy staff is professional and helpful as well. read more
