Classy, quality store. First off, they have an item called colossal grilling shrimp in their seafood section. Largest shrimp I have ever seen, as little as four to eight shrimp come in weighing a pound. The girlfriend and I also have been finding great deals on select items, including a chicken, feta, and spinach burger that you put on the Foreman grill at home and its ready in ten minutes (currently two for five dollars). Other best deal imo is an entire Rotisserie chicken for six dollars on Tuesdays. They have flavored chickens as well which should be included, be sure to double check when purchasing however as I have seen them marked at $8.99 on Tuesdays when they should be $6.00 imo unless there is an upcharge for a flavored chicken. Wednesdays are 20% off on all produce. Lot of neat specialty items mixed with healthy food throughout the store. They have the best butcher in the area and also the bakery is excellent. Cheese section is very good as well. That's mostly what we buy here. Other things tend to be good quality but overpriced, which is fine for people that are willing to pay a premium price for a nicer shopping experience than a regular grocery store. This is like episode of Seinfeld. I ordered a strawberry rhubarb pie for a birthday a week in advance and was given a day by Fresh Market to come in and pick it up. Went to get my order on the specified day and they said they had sold it to someone else and there were none left. They didn't even offer an apology for their blunder that was a serious inconvenience. The Fresh Market isn't exactly convenient to where we live but we frequently go out of our way to shop there. They have the best steaks and great sushi. The $25. meal deal is also a winner and changes weekly. The bakery also has some very decadent desserts. I'm very impressed at the selection of this store, although I see how people might see it as overly expensive, but I've found that they have so many things that you'd not be able to find at other groceries in the area. If you want cheap, there's a close Aldi or Acme. If you want specific, TFM is the best! I saw vegan, gluten free, low carb, all specialty items everywhere! I figured that the exterior meant it would be classy, and although it's not huge, they pack everything in there well with a nice open feel to it. I was looking for specific flour and low carb tortillas, and lo and behold, they were both there, prices cheaper than online buying. I even looked at the dairy and cheeses, there happened to be a few good deals going on with 2/4$ on cottage cheese, cream cheese, and some creams. I think if you plan it well, shopping at this store would be pretty conservative spending. I've also never seen a faster credit card machine. I love just about everything about Fresh Market. The store is spotless, the employees pleasant and customer-friendly, the specials enticing, the prepared foods surprisingly delicious. The prepared seafood items (coconut shrimp, salmon cakes, etc) are as good as--if not better than--what you'd get in a seafood restaurant. In regards to Mr. John L. 's review, I happen to witness this event and found that the employee in question handled the situation very well. The rude man, John, aggressively confronted an elderly customer who seemed confused about the line during a busy time. John began hollering at the elderly lady until the employee took control of the aggressive behavior. There was no racist motives shown, just woman aggressive behaviors shown by Mr. John. I've visited this store multiple times and found that every employee is respectful and trying to serve their community in a time of need. If you love Whole Foods and Wegmans like I do. You will love Fresh Market. It's Whole Foods Organics with Wegman prices. From the moment you walk through the sliding doors, you already know you are not at your typical grocers. Tons of fresh produce line the front entrance. More times then not they will have a special where they serve samples or food right at the entrance. Once they had these HUGE hot dogs (delicious not the processed kind, but REAL dogs) and fresh root beer floats all for $1 each to support the Diabetes foundation. Another time they had an Apple festival. All food that has apple or tastes like apples they had on sample. All produce are super fresh, and flowers are fresh and cheap ! Dozen beautiful roses for $9.99 you cannot beat that. The meats section is expansive and everything is presented great. They have all types of meats marinated ready for you to take home and throw on the bbq, or in the oven. And their cooked food is delicious. When I'm in the area and really stuck on what to make for dinner, I will pick up some string beans, zuchini's and a roasted chicken. Dinner for under $15 for the 4 of us. I have not tried anything but the cookies from their bakery yet, but the cookies are delicious and fresh. I can't wait to dig into their cakes ! Always great with the samples. They have a coffee sampling stations in the coffee area. Last week they had this fantastic pumpkin spice coffee. I have to say. I took more then just a sampling. SO GOOD! My only complaint. Employees literally take you to what you are looking for, other shoppers share tips with you. The food is all very fresh & inviting - you want to buy everything. Things ARE a little pricier than "traditional" stores but you get good quality items. Try the double cream white chocolate milk - DELICIOUS! Great alternative to whole foods. The staff is exceptionally nice, the fruits and produce look ultra fresh. (I dare you to find a bruised apple - it's not possible!) They have a lot of items I can't find at a regular supermarket, like Orangina! I especially love their bakery - I always buy their artisan rolls, cheese and pate here. I ordered a Reuben panini here and while it was already premade, they heated it up and it tasted great. The corn beef was still a little cold in the middle, but understandable based on the sheer volume of the sandwich. And while waiting for it to get heated up, 2 other workers asked if I was already being helped on separate occasions. What great service! Prices aren't too high here. Produce seems a little pricier, but you're paying for the freshness. The bakery and marketplace (food counter) are comparable to a supermarket's (like Giant) in price, but way better! As a first time buyer, because I live in Langhorne Pennsylvania, but just happened past the Horsham location, I stopped in and found so many wonderful things, in addition to an 18 pound ribeye that was hand cut and carefully packaged by the butcher, Frank. He did a beautiful job, and I walked away with 14 lovely 1+ inch ribeyes and the leftover trimmings for soup. I was so happy with the service and Frank went out of his way to accommodate this order. Poor Customer Service I was told to "SHUT UP, GO HOME, AND COOK YOUR SAUSAGES". I was in-line to place a seafood and meat order, after waiting in-line 15-20 minutes, another customer cut in front of me and was served. I walked up and asked "what happened to the line". Jared, the meat counter associate, aggressively responded with "get back in line and I'll deal with you next." I went back in line, another associate came out and took my order. I tried to talk to Jared after the incident and explain my frustration, his demeanor was aggressively rude, he refused to listen to my explanation, and frankly, I felt, he was discriminatory towards me because of my race. I shop here often and have never seen or heard him yell at white customers like that before. His tone was extremely belligerent and quarrelsome. I do not believe a customer should ever be told to "SHUT UP, GO HOME, AND COOK YOUR SAUSAGES." A simple statement like, "I understand what you are saying, we will try not to let it happen again" or "I hear you, thank you, it won't happen again", would have been more appropriate. A customer should never be publicly berated in front of other store associates and customers. To tell someone to do something like "SHUT UP, GO HOME, AND COOK YOUR SAUSAGES", is an antagonistic way of showing authority and was completely unnecessary. I will no longer be shopping at this store or chain of stores. read more

I have shopped at this store for 6+ years, and I will not go back. TFM is convenient to me, and I like the idea of the store. Sure, it's more expensive than Shop Rite, but some of their prices aren't bad. I feel their meat prices are pretty high, even compared to Whole Foods. But here's why I gave the store 1 star. The last few times I've shopped there, I've found that some of the products have not been "fresh" - chicken spoiled after 1 day, milk bad when opened, etc. The final time I shopped there, I picked up Saltine Crackers. I found that they were already expired. Upon checking out, I took the box to the cashier and told her that they were expired. She looked at me like I was crazy and a few seconds later said "someone will put it back" as if it made any sense at all that it should go back on the shelf. It's expired! The manager/supervisor came over and said they'd take care of it, but I never received any apology. Just rude looks from the cashier, as if I did something wrong. I'm just glad I looked at the expiration date. I don't mind mistakes like that, but an apology would be nice--"sorry, that should not have been on the shelf--let me find you a fresh product." I actually wrote to Customer Service via email, and received a reply 6 days later saying that someone from the local store would contact me. No one ever did. I emailed customer service about 20 days later to say that, and finally someone from the store left me a message. At that point, it's far too late. I won't shop here, whether or not it's convenient. I think when you're charging higher prices, you should have superior customer service and ensure the products are actually fresh in the "Fresh" Market. read more

In the area of Horsham which boats mainly chain restaurants and an overall generic menu feel, I wondered into this spot the other day. It combines the things I like about Wegman's and Whole Foods and does so admirably. Freshly cooked meals for $6-7, flavorful, well constructed from a macronutrient standpoint and easy to pair with something else in the store. Bulk coffee and nuts, candy and the like make this a place that is deserving of a look. Prices on some things could be better and while I can't speak for the grocery aspect of it, the fresh food/prepared food selections are quite nice. Check them out if you're in the area. read more

This place is pretty fancy as far as supermarkets go. You're not going to find the brands that you're used to in a conventional grocery store, but they have a lot of gourmet and specialty items. I'm most impressed by the prices of their spices. They come in bags rather than bottles, so you get a fair amount more for the price you would normally pay. They have a very large variety of spices as well. Fresh Market is also nice because it offers a lot of lunch options -- sandwiches and such as well as salads and sushi. I most often stop there for the sushi and it's consistently good for being supermarket sushi. The sushi is well constructed (sometimes supermarket sushi rolls fall apart) and the fish tastes fresh. They just have the basics -- California roll, rainbow roll, spicy this and that, and then some salmon and tuna sushi. I've caught them restocking things several times when I've been there, so that tells me that the sushi isn't sitting for very long and that other people like it as much as I do. They have a few small tables in the entryway of the store. It's a good place to sit and eat during a lunch break and you can pick up Wifi. I don't know where it comes from, but I always seem to be able to connect. In the winter, sit as far back as possible and close to the fireplace (it's not a real fireplace, but it does generate heat), because the door opening and closing can cause a pretty bad draft. read more

I finally decided to stop into the fresh market after passing by it each time I went to Ulta. Last year I decided to go in and see if they had any lunch specials. They do have platter options which are $7 or $9 I believe, depending on what you get , and they come with two sides. They also have a great bakery - literally amazing. They have delicious cupcakes and breads and pies! The cupcakes are inexpensive for the size and really yummy! The fresh market isn't the largest grocery but they have a lot to offer! They have pretty great deals on a lot of natural foods! It's a great alternative to Whole Foods! read more

This place is like Whole Foods with a smaller selection and heftier prices. The service is amazing, though. I was turned off mostly because the croissants from the bakery section were disappointing. I went to The Fresh Market for the first time Friday, February 27th. I purchased salad dressing. On Wednesday, March 4th, I went to use it only to discover it expires on March 14th, which is terrible being salad dressing lasts a few months. I called the store and was told they can't do anything about it bring I do not have my receipt. I emailed customer service and they responded telling me they could give me a credit back on my credit card for the item. I emailed back saying I think I deserve a little more for all my aggravation. They responded back to me saying they thought the credit was adequate being the salad dressing date has not expired. I guess I'm supposed to use the dressing up in less than two weeks. I think they should be ashamed of their response to a new customer. I will NEVER shop here again and I will be sure to tell my family, friends and co workers not to shop here either! Love this place! Prices are between Giant and Whole Foods, with a few specialty items you can find elsewhere. You MUST try their honey nut peanut butter. They actually have a nut crusher, peanut grinder, legume smasher thingamajiggy that pumps out globs of fresh peanut butter. I walk into The Fresh Market and instantly feel well....fresh, or is that refreshed? In any case, this place is great! They carry tons of organic and health-conscious items, but they are somewhat expensive (as expected). I initially went here looking for a self-serve hot food bar for lunch one day. While they don't have one of those per se, there is a pretty impressive looking prepared foods/deli section. I've only ever tried the southwest chicken salad from that dept. (which was good). My main reason for coming here so often however, is for the sushi! (surprise, right?) It's made regularly and is very fresh and is the perfect grab for a quick, and price conscious lunch. (a/b $6-7 per tray) I've only tasted the real crab rolls and the spicy shrimp rolls and was pleased w/both. They even have the low-sodium soy sauce to accompany the rolls! Bottom line: Sort of like Wegman's (which I love), & sort of like Whole Foods (which I don't really care for lol). There's a great variety of foods and you are guaranteed to find something here that you're curious to try and/or have never seen anywhere else, you can make your own peanut butter, they have pretty good sushi, & you can always find something quick and easy for lunch. My produce was fresh, and I could find certain international spices and condiments that my local food stores don't carry. I also thought it was less expensive in most aspects when compared to Whole Foods. I really liked that they cut up my meat to my specifications while I shopped around, not many delis do that anymore, let alone food markets. Totally obsessed with this place! It's a little expensive but I think worth the extra 1/2 mike versus George's. The sushi is way better here and they have more of a variety. They do have a cold foods section and small hot foods section. They also have pre made sandwiches and salads. I've had a sandwich, the broccoli kale salad, and sushi there. All were delicious and well made. I love their nuts and candy bar. It's my pound so you're not obligated to get a lot if you don't want to. read more

During this coronavirus pandemic, I am surprised that fresh market does not require their employees that work around food to wear a mask. A very nice gentleman was slicing cheese for me and his face was approximately 1-1/2 feet away from the cheese as he was talking. I was concerned that he had no mask on and he was so close to the cheese. And as we know when we talk sometimes spittle comes out along with breath. I called the manager and told him of my concern and he said that his bosses purposely don't want their employees to wear masks. However he said he would bring my complaint to them. read more

I shopped before and registered with my phone number and truly loved the store. After a terrible car accident, cancer treatment, and our home being hit by a tornado we actually moved into a temporary apartment across the street from the Fresh Market in Horsham. I stopped in yesterday and I'm not sure what has happened to their customer service. I guess they switched over to a loyalty program but instead of leading me through joining a man there whom I believe may have been a manager proceeded to remove the "loyalty members' specials"from my order and the cashier handed me a brochure. When I walked to my car it took exactly 1 minute to sign up so would have been nice if he assisted and let me purchase my sale items rather than swoop them out of my order! I'm not sure I will be back because Sprouts Market is also across the street and they are particularly friendly in that store. It's a shame because everything I did buy was good. Shopping is stressful now with covid so the last thing you need is an unfriendly and unhelpful group of employees. LIke others have said, good alternative to whole foods, especially if you're in the willow grove//horsham area. The staff are extremely friendly, it's got a really nice mom and pop feel to it. The food is very good. It is a bit expensive as others have mentioned, but it's in line with other higher end grocery stores. It's not competing with Acme/Giant/et al, it's competing with Whole Foods / Wegmans. read more

Kind of like a smaller Whole Foods....assuming this is what Whole Foods is like, considering I've never been in one. Cute, rustic, and easily navigated. I wouldn't go in here to food shop on a regular (the prices are a little high), but I do occasionally stop in to pick up some of their weighed out goodies. They have a ton of candy, trail mixes, nuts, and things of that sort. I'm a huge fan of their dark chocolate covered pistachios, which I don't find anything quite like them anywhere else!
