Whole Foods Market

The staff that works here is undoubtedly so nice - so I'm putting that at the head of the review…read morebecause they deserve recognition beyond what else is said in the review. They are extremely helpful and professional and actually are probably one of the only store employees I've encountered that seem like the genuinely care about you while they engage in "customer service". Very professional , so kudos to the people you hire and the training you employ. This Whole Foods looks mostly like other Whole Foods except it is notable that this Whole Foods is the first I have been in that was built post Amazon takeover and it's definitely noticeable ! A lot more ... utilitarian. The prepared section is huge but lacking any real good options at the hot bar it's just a lot of stainless steel and well a lack of food. Plus seeing people let their children dangle over the food and pick out their own is gross - not the time to teach them independence. Although that's not whole foods' fault. They have all the departments as any other Whole Foods but the choices I feel are definitely different than say the Spring House location where I feel I have more variety. I will agree with others and say not everything is fresh. For example I got expired yogurt and also bagged spinach that went bad way before the expiration date. Staff rectified and was super nice about communicating with me to reach out and they'll have a thorough scan of the department done. So things definitely aren't moving at the rate they're coming in or some FIFO protocols are slipping through the cracks. Overall I like getting discounted food here because I hate food waste, and I like that some of their prices are actually better than other stores - I.e. a lot of yogurt products. Overall it's definitely still got its hiccups but I think the staff is a great asset to this store particularly those in customer service. I also love their partnership with too good to go ! (Side note: I was disappointed they did not have a cafe as everyone said they were going to which was in turn why the neighboring B&N doesn't but maybe it really had to do with the building of the first watch).

We have waited a loooooong time to get a Doylestown/Central Bucks location of Whole foods and now,…read moreit's finally here. It's just like the rest of the Whole foods with a vast selection of grocery, dairy, bakery, produce and prepared foods options. They have store-made sushi and pizza as well as a hot food bar (with lots of soups) and cold salad bar. Yes, it's pricey - but they have everything you need. Bring your own re-useable bags. They do have paper bags but charge 5 cents each.

I purchased four portions of Nature's Promise Salmon from the seafood department…read more After preparing and serving the salmon to my sister and myself, my sister experienced a severe allergic reaction, including hives, vomiting, and diarrhea. She has a known allergy to crab, and it is clear that the salmon had come into contact with crab or crab residue at some point prior to or during handling at your store. I spoke directly with the store manager, Bob, who expressed sympathy but offered no assurance or accountability. He stated that the contamination could have occurred "anywhere before the salmon got to the store."I emphasized during our conversation that cross-contamination of allergens can be life-threatening and must be treated with the highest level of care and urgency. This is not only a distressing experience for my family--it also represents a significant public health risk. Many individuals with severe allergies rely on clear separation of seafood products and proper food handling procedures, especially from trusted grocery providers like Giant. Even though this is the closed Giant to my house I will never shop there again.

I actually like shopping at Giant but have choosen to go to a Giant store further from my home. The…read moreDoylestown store has really bad WiFi and you can't use your shopping list, discount or anything on their site. This just seems to be an issue with the Doylestown store. I have hda to go outside of the store just to see the Giant app. They also recently put in a "no plastic bag" policy which they said is required by the township. They do offer paper bags (which you have to pay for) This would not be too bad is the bags weren't so cheap the rip when you lift them. I will continue to use another Giant store, not the Doylestown one.
