The store is a good place to find gifts for the holidays. I saw lots of Halloween decor and toys and bikes for children. They carry a lot of random things like bed linen, kitchen appliances, tvs, home decor, toys etc. You really need to take your time and shop for the bargains because it depends on how long something has been on the shelf to get good markdowns. The tags on each item will reflect when it was put on the shelf. My daughter got a floor lamp and an airfryer. The Cuisinart airfryer was only $99. I paid $199.00 about 2 years ago for the same airfryer. These items are leftovers, overstock, and discounted items. There are no returns or refunds, so make sure you want whatever you purchase. One nice thing, if you're buying any electronics, they will take it out of the box and test it for you, making sure you're satisfied before you buy it. They get a lot of their items from Target and Best Buys and big box stores like that. I think it was worth the trip and plan on going again soon!

Unfortunately…read morethough, the items that the Dollar Tree would carry are much less expensive at Dollar Tree, and the items you'd find at Walmart are cheaper at Walmart. So, sure the stuff's all under one roof, but that's about it. I went looking for a cheap recliner, and found a few, but after asking an associate about delivery, I was told that their delivery is basically them giving you a phone number. The cost (she thinks) is about $100, and you work out all of the arrangements with the delivery people. This, to me, is like being shown a pile of lumber, and being told it'll be a really nice house, once you get it all on site and put it together. No thanks. To summarize: In my opinion, there's absolutely no good reason to visit Big Lots, as other stores provide more for less.

I'm not a lawyer, I'm not giving legal advice, but: While in the store tonight, I heard an ad over the PA system saying you could buy children's clothes for free via the crazy deals. Spend $50, get your money back on a gift card. Yes - a Job Lot gift card. This does not equal free stuff. I get $50 worth of clothes, and a gift card I must spend there for $50. That's $100 worth of stuff for $50, or half off. The customer saves 50%, which when you look at the prices on the stuff you're buying via a Crazy Deal, seems only right, because those prices are inflated. So, before a horde of people figure this out and get a law firm involved, you might want to start telling the truth.

I had the most horrendous experience with delivery service from this business. I purchased a…read moresectional with a King Size adjustable base frame and a King Sized mattress. I waited three weeks for delivery and when the delivery came it was with beautiful sectional and the bed frame without the mattress. I called customer support very angry because of course the mattress was not with the delivery. I was treated very poorly and my concerns were treated with indifference. I was told that it was forgotten when my delivery was put on the truck so I asked if we could send it back the next day because it was their error. I was told sure. Then at 7:52PM I received a voicemail stating that my mattress would not be delivered the next day and that I needed to call back and reschedule the delivery. I called the next morning and asked to speak to a supervisor and was greeted with hostility because I requested to speak with a supervisor. After holding for several minutes, supervisor answered and told me that delivery was not possible because the mattress that I purchased was not available. I asked how this was possible if previous delivery just inadvertently forgot to put it on the truck as had been reported to me. Supervisor said that wasn't true the mattress was supposed to have been sent to the warehouse and it wouldn't be received until later in the day. I then asked when could it be sent to me. She said following week. Next week came and I received another message stating mattress still unavailable and would not be delivered until following week. Week came and same cycle of calls, cancellations and this was since August, the 8th. August 26th my family is getting ready for memorial service and burial of my uncle. My daughter and her family are coming into town from Virginia to stay with me but I have no mattress for them to sleep on. My aunt come in from California and I cannot offer accommodation to her either because I have no mattress. I am sleeping on an air bed for the last three weeks that I have been waiting to get my mattress that I purchased mid July before I went to settlement on my home. August 26th I went into storage that I originally purchased from and spoke with Sales Manager Anthony. He immediately sympathized with me and felt my pain through the entire ordeal. He reviewed the entire history of the transaction and got on the phone with customer support! He fell into brick wall. He went to his supervisor and the two of them worked on my issue for two days and I am scheduled for delivery that is supposed to happen on September the third. I have had to make concessions but hopefully this will happen and I will exchange the bed frame band get a downgraded Queen size mattress with a Queen bed frame and a good night 's sleep after 6 week ordeal! To be honest, it looks like a knock-off version of Home Goods. They carry very similar items. If you see something you like, you better get it than because their stock changes all the time.
