My son has been going to Anthem Hills Pediatrics since he was born. My son has asthma and…read moreallergies. He has been hospitalized once and has been in and out of the ER since he was born due to his asthma allergies. My son is now in grade school and has to have a note from his doctor to use his asthma pump as needed independently. OCT 2023 my son and I went to Anthem Hills Pediatrics (Gibson's location) to get the note signed. At the appt, we were seen by DR. MIHIC who did an overall check-up, ordered blood for an allergy test, prescribed 3 additional medications as well, and signed the school note! At the appt, I informed DR MIHIC that my son is at his dad's house 2-3 times a week and that they have a dog. I asked her if my son would become immune to the dog or if things would worsen. Immediately I felt like I was put on trial by her questioning me why dad had a dog and if he was aware of his son's medical conditions. After explaining to her I cannot control what goes on at Dad's house she continued to pry with additional questions which all led back to my first answer "I wish but I cannot control what goes on at Dad's house". She then told me she could WRITE ME A LETTER explaining that dogs can make someone with allergies and asthma worse. However, I didn't take her up on her offer at that appt. Fast forward, after October's visit, we got the blood work which showed he was extremely allergic to dander and a multitude of other things. Dec 2023 I made an appt to see MIHIC to not only ask for a refill but to get the LETTER SHE SAID SHE WOULD WRITE BUT SHE REFUSED! Instead, she had an assistant give me a print that was a summary of the visit (which had several mistakes and misinformation). I NEEDED A LETTER FOR DOCUMENTATION PURPOSES NOT A VISIT REPORT. MICHI then told me that she would not write a letter but that she would write me a referral to get a skin test and PERHAPS HE WOULD WRITE a letter explaining the effects dogs can have on a child with asthma and dander. A couple of days later I called Anthem Hills and spoke to a supervisor named KRISTY who informed me that she had no idea why MIHIC would tell me that she would write me a letter because it was AGAINST COMPANY's POLICY!!!! She also said she would look into everything else and call me back after the holidays. After New Year's I didn't get a call back so I called KRISTY! She in so many words said why are you calling me I told you I was going to CALL YOU back! So I waited and she finally called back and told me that MIHIC never said she would write me a letter but she would correct some of the mistakes on the visit report and that I would be able to pick up the report in a few days. After that phone call, I emailed KRISTY at Kinge@anthemhillspediatrics.com for documentation and confirmation that my son's medical report would be corrected. Surprisingly, I never received a reply back, but due to email tracking, I'm CERTAIN my email was opened several times and possibly forwarded to another email address! After waiting days for a reply BACK I went ahead and picked up the report but I had to wait 15 minutes because those changes were PROBABLY NOT MADE! I also found additional misinformation about what medications my son was making that needed to be corrected. A day later I got a phone call from Michelle WITH Mihic and Kristy ON SPEAKER, I asked them to call me back in 15 min because I was in line at the post office and never GOT A CALL BACK! I ended up calling them back and they told me they were not going to be making any changes and again took sides with their doctors and nurses about the misinformation that was written on the visits reports. Michelle told me what medications were on the report or not on the report was based on what I told them at the time of the visit. I NEVER RECEIVED AN APOLOGY about any of the problems or issues! Regardless of what is true or not a professional establishment should apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused. Most importantly there's no excuse for not calling me back. People check your medical reports because they seem to be pencil-whipped and they will find any excuse to not make corrections. DR MIHIC, MICHELLE, AND KRISTY ALL LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND INTEGRITY. All of my conversations with them were unprofessional and nasty! The providers are very kind & knowledgeable, and we are confident that they always provide the best care for our family. I just delivered a baby girl 5/24/26 and went for a weight check this time we saw his sister (who is just as amazing) we left the clinic at 440 and I was in my car in the lot breast feeding and my daughter had a medical emergency one of the receptionists was leaving when I had called 911 she called the dr and she drove back to the office got in the ambulance to assess her!! As a mother that was so amazing for her to drive back get in the ambulance and help me calm and look over my baby. I will never take my kids anywhere else. Before agreeing to treatment, I asked for pricing and was quoted $125. I paid the $125 at check-in. The visit lasted roughly 10 minutes. The strep test was negative, no medication was prescribed, and no meaningful treatment plan or follow-up guidance was provided. Weeks later, I received an additional bill for $510, bringing the total charge to $635 for a very basic urgent care visit. I have since contacted their billing department directly and filed a BBB complaint, and I have received absolutely no response. Self-pay patients deserve FULL pricing transparency BEFORE treatment -- not surprise bills weeks later. Had I been informed the actual cost would exceed $600, I would not have consented to treatment at this facility. I will also be filing complaints with the Nevada Attorney General and Nevada health/licensing agencies regarding the lack of billing transparency.

I asked for a referral for an occupational therapist for my son, the first one they sent started texting me to see if we could go to their house at 6 or 7 pm for the therapy, no thank you. The second one, not in my network so I called back 14 days ago trying to see about getting a new referral. Since then, it's been a complete run around. "We will call Medicaid to get them to accept that therapist" the next day "I'm sorry I don't see anything in your chart about a referral, what is this for" the next day "the office manager will call you in 24 hours about this referral" and so on and so forth. Just called today to be told "the office manager actually won't be calling you because they are on vacation until April and the doctor your kid sees is also unavailable until April" even though we was supposed to have an appointment this morning. If you didn't want to service us anymore, it would have been much easier to just say that instead of giving me the run around for two entire weeks. Went to look for the picture from the day we received the referral to the place that isn't in our network and it looks like this has actually been going on for MORE than two weeks! I would have given one star but I actually like dr. Zagala and the way the care was given, the office staff, follow up visits and everything else just failed us truly.
