On a road trip and drove out of our way for the the fish tacos. As we approached the order window the cashier said "no fish." Deflated but hungry, we ordered the carnitas taco and elote taco. Both were nearly inedible, swimming in an oily pool that soaked through the double cardboard box it was served in. Tortillas tasted stale, presentation was sloppy. It's summer in CA, steps from the freshest seafood anywhere, and there's no fish dishes! "Elote" was not fresh corn, a pinch of cheese, and doused in an overpowering sauce. My wife and I have been riding bikes to here once every 4 to 5 weeks for over 3 years. We have always taken our food and sit by the harbour to eat. Months ago they stopped providing to go containers. 4 weeks ago they gave me aluminum foil to cover the food. Today they had none. The Mexican street tacos had so much oil I soaked it up with napkins. The cardboard tray was soaked. I posted a photo of this on Google reviews. When the buzzer went off, I went to the pickup window. Of the three guys in there, one looked at me and kept talking with the others. I held up my flashing buzzer so there would be no doubt why I was there. I finally asked if they wanted the buzzer? It was taken, but they kept talking. Finally after a few seconds one of them told the others I needed serving. We Definitely will not be back. It is too bad because my wife still likes their food (the fish tacos are good), and I now need to find another place where we can have eyes on our bikes. read more

The fam used to love this place. We have noticed a steady decline in quality. One time the carnitas nachos came swimming in a puddle of grease. On two separate occasions I tried ordering the hot agave chicken tenders and they came without sauce. When I told one of the guys, they argued with me. We had lunch at Wedo's while at Dust Bowl Brewing Co. The service was fine, outdoor seating area was huge, but the food was disappointing. Normally I love taco trucks but after this, I just felt like I wished we had stopped somewhere else. I shared the carnitas nachos with my husband. The carnitas was actually just pulled pork, there was no crisp to the meat at all and the cheese sauce was bland. I tried a bite of the Smashburger, it was fine, nothing special. The saving grace was the chicken quesadilla which was pretty good, especially with the sauce, which tasted like a creamy avocado sauce. We came to Monterey for my birthday and what do we find inside the Dust Bowl eating area.... Best Taco place ever Wedo's Tacos!! They used to be in Elk Grove, Ca inside the Dust Bowl there. Then they closed. This place has excellent fish tacos and worth the price. They're big tacos.
