Tasty food at an affordable price. You order at the counter. It's very casual. I didn't see a restroom. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. I had three taxis. They are small with the double shell. Topped with onion, Guac and tomatoes. I preferred the carnitas over the carne asada. Bottled drinks for sale.

It's small. Don't miss it!

Awesome carne asada tacos! Super nice folks, very friendly and helpful. The flour tortilla chips are cooked to order! Soooo good! There are a couple tables inside this little restaurant and a row of tables on the outside patio. There's parking along the street. Seems to be a favorite place for the locals to eat. Reasonable prices. Drinks are bottled.

One evening in April 2025, we had dinner in Kathy's Little Kitchen when we visited Carmel Valley. We used the outside seating even though it was a little chilly. We ordered several dishes. The prices were amazingly cheap, especially considering the area. The food was tasty and plentiful. We were quite happy with our experience. We will definitely go back there if we get another chance.

Basic as can be. The potatoes were cut and thrown into some oil with no seasonings. They could seriously improve upon their flavors. There are two tables to sit inside and a few outside. It really is little but clean and the staff were friendly.

Family owned. Everything is made from scratch and super tasty. Super small but cozy and so much charm. The views of the Santa Lucia mountains are epic. We will be back !!

Tiny but mighty in flavor and hospitality

You can't beat the delicious food and prices here. Great customer service, always friendly. Outdoor seating with umbrellas over the table, nice view of the mountains. Ordered a simple plate of chicken and beans, chili relleno, and carne asada. All great dishes.

This is a great little find in Carmel Valley Village. There are only three tables for dine-ins so it's really more of a to-go joint. I've only been for breakfast burritos but Kathy's Little Kitchen has tacos and plate meals too. I like chorizo or bacon. It comes filled with egg, cheese and potatoes with a hot grilled tortilla on the outside.

Nice enough place. Two tables inside and sidewalk dining for outdoor. Good pricing considering it's in Carmel valley. Nice staff.

Don't get the breakfast burrito unless you only want potatoes and tortilla. If that's the case really great stuff.

Taqueria Del Valle - To Go Cheese Enchiladas w/ rice & beans

I'm really disappointed with the meal my wife and I had this afternoon at taqueria del valle. We…read morelove, and seek out, local family owned restaurants. Unfortunately, this restaurant feels like they have lost their passion for creating flavorful food and a welcoming dining experience. Let me give some details. This is a counter service restaurant. We arrived about 2pm. We ordered the Carnitas combo (means rice and beans) and Al Pastor combo. They did provide complimentary chips and salsa. The food came out within 5 minutes. This meant the meat was already sitting in a warming table and may not have even gone on the grill. The carnitas was dried out like a pork machaca without the flavor. The Al Pastor had a powdered Mexican seasoning coating the pork that lacked salt and/or flavor. The rice was pretty much white rice with a little red color to it. Again no flavor. The refried beans were the best part of our meals. Where was the love when cooking in the kitchen??? We didn't taste any, unfortunately. As we were eating, they were sweeping the floor in the dining room. Really? Apparently they close at 3pm. It was 2:30. How rude! We were their only guests eating in the restaurant. Now I understand why. This is an uninspired taqueria that has lost its heart and soul. We won't be back.

We stopped by for dinner after a book signing in Carmel Valley Village, and service was quick and attentive. We ordered two types of enchiladas, one with green sauce and chicken, the other with red and pork. The red sauce was just barely spiced, Smokey, and slightly sweet. The pork was perfectly cooked and fall apart delicious. My friend loved her chicken enchiladas with mushrooms. Each plate came with beans and rice as well. Mexican hot chocolate was tasty as was an Arnold Palmer. I will definitely be back!

Server asked me if it was, ok to microwave to reheat when I brought it to her attention. We had asked for more chips and salsa(only good thing) she brought only salsa. Again when brought to her attention you could see/hear the HUGE SIGH as she walked away, 10 minutes later we grabbed the attention of her coworker to finally get our chips. I've been in food/bev for 30 years so this is absolutely unacceptable. This is the 2nd time we've been this disappointed in 3mths, after coming here for 20 years. Sorry won't be a 3rd.. I understand a bad day but this was to much..A great server would outshine the bad food and vise versa, both was to much..

The…read morecheese bread with corn sounds a little strange, but somehow it totally works -- unique and delicious. The bacon cheeseburger was really good, the Caesar salad was a solid classic, and the fried chicken dinner was hearty and satisfying with two large pieces of chicken plus sides. The banana cream pie has a spin on it. I love the brûléed bananas. What stood out the most, though, was the service. My family is in the restaurant business, so I tend to have pretty high standards when it comes to hospitality and customer service. Our server, Razi, was truly excellent. He had the perfect balance of friendly and professional, made great recommendations, checked in often, and made sure we had everything we needed. At one point, I was feeling a little lightheaded, and he immediately brought me a cold towel and made sure my water glass stayed full so I could stay hydrated. That level of attentiveness really stood out to me. He was fast, efficient, customer-focused, and brought such positive energy to the restaurant. So many restaurants struggle these days with finding employees who seem trained, experienced, and genuinely engaged -- Razi was the complete opposite. He was outstanding. I even made a point to share positive feedback with the owner before leaving because great employees deserve recognition. I honestly could see Razi managing this restaurant -- or another one -- someday. As a fun side note, we also learned he's a singer/rapper, which somehow perfectly matched his great personality and energy. Really memorable experience overall.

Even though the restaurant was very busy, he still took the time to come out and greet us, which made the evening feel extra special. That kind of hospitality really stands out and meant a lot to us. The wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. Because they were so busy, it did take a little while to get our drink and food order in, but the staff remained attentive and kind throughout the night, and the food was absolutely worth the wait. Overall, a great dining experience and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The bread and butter that it is served with it is very good. We ordered more, not realizing it was not complimentary. Oops that's another $12. Though pricey for a bread basket, I would order again. The ceaser salad was a good size and very flavorful. It's even topped with fresh sardines. Probably the best one I had 10/10 I ordered the black cod and though it looked burnt, it was just blackened and extremely flaky and juicy. The noodles served with it was good. 8/10 Crab cakes-need more flavor. Would not order again 3/10 Steak frites- 8/10 the sauce used in the steak is yummy and the fries were cooked to perfection. Beef cheek-there is a LOT going on that plate. The beef was good, but I thought it was too many ingredients mixed together 5/10. The meal seemed heavy. The bday girl was treated to a slice of cheesecake. The cheesecake looked good, but, it was pretty dry. 3/10 All in all, I rate this 4 stars.
