Me and my wife had lunch here while we were wine tasting. We were greeted by staff when we entered the restaurant. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were seated very quickly and the server was there to take our orders. We ordered chips with salsa and guacamole. The salsa and guacamole were made in house and very tasty. My favorite was the guacamole because of the robust flavor in the guacamole. I ordered the burrito with rice and beans. The burrito was delicious and the beans and rice were the perfect combination with the burrito. The ambiance is customer service friendly. The menu had nice choices and great service.

Loved the selection of food here. We came for breakfast but just missed it. But we were not disappointed by the lunch items. Chips and salsa were good. We couldn't stop eating them. I got the crab and shrimp enchiladas. A bit heavy but good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their orders. It was a nice change from the typical fancy restaurants we've been having in Carmel for something a bit more casual but still satisfying.

Best service excellent food Carnita tostadas amazing. My usual is the chicken verde enchiladas or shrimp diablo...but all good

So delicious! The enchiladas and the shrimp Caesar salad were great. The Cesar comes with a quesadilla too. They make a really good skinny margarita. So peaceful on the back patio!

My boyfriend and I frequent this restaurant a lot. It's so good, the food is consistent and the staff is always friendly. My two favorite things to order are the verde enchiladas, I get it with chicken but you have your choice of beef, cheese, and chicken, as well as the chicken fajitas. My boyfriend likes to get the carne asada plate and the steak fajitas. Also note, their chips and salsa is addicting.

What a great surprise Plaza Linda was! We were renting an airbnb in Carmel Valley since our house was not quite large enough to house all our guests. We arrived a couple of days early to stock up on groceries and prep the house and decided to stop somewhere for a late lunch. Many of the restaurants seem to close between lunch and dinner in the valley, but Plaza Linda was open. We took a seat at the bar and started with a top shelf margarita. Perfect amount of tequila and no store bought sour mix. Our margarita was made with love by our very friendly bartender. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty. The chips were crispy and not greasy at all while the salsa had a nice flavor. We decided to split an order of nachos and beef fajitas. Normally this would probably be way too much food for us, but the portion sizes were just right and so were the prices. Plaza Linda's dishes are very reasonably priced. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was friendly. I would definitely return!

We were seated right away without reservations. The place looks smaller than it is - they have a bunch of outdoor seating. It is a typical diner style establishment. And I'm not sure how accessible it is unless you know exactly where to park - there's a lot of stairs around. But it is a really cute location with lots of nice flowers and landscaping around. I can't remember our servers name - but he was really wonderful & had a great attitude. I ended up going with a custom skillet & my partner chose the biscuits & gravy and brisket chili. My custom skillet was super yummy & I was pleasantly surprised they had vegetarian sausage! It was well seasoned & the mushrooms were thinly sliced & cooked to perfection. I actually really enjoyed this meal. My partner really enjoyed his biscuits & gravy and thought it was one of the best ones he's ever had. He also was starstruck over the brisket chili, so I would definitely say to get a cup of that if that sounds like your thing. I would definitely stop back here on my next visit to Monterey/Carmel. I usually drive out to Carmel when visiting Monterey just because I like the food options more.

The food was worth it though, and everything tasted fresh and homemade like the name suggests. Loved the little store attached to the restaurant too. It was fun to browse after eating. Overall a solid stop if you're visiting Carmel and looking for a good breakfast or brunch spot.

When we arrived we were asked if we wanted a glass of wine, we opted for water and were handed two bottles to take to our room which was nice , however a five star rated hotel would have brought this to our room with glasses of ice.....an awkward moment as we had our hands full and were following the valet who had our bags. We ordered room service for breakfast several times , it was prompt but cold (which seems odd). The breakfasts were always good except for the temperature. Excellent benedict and really good yogurt/granola/fruit parfait in a bowl. In general the bread was not good, stiff and lacking flavor (i.e. sourdough toast). However the focaccia for the grilled chicken sandwich was very good.. We had a patio dinner early evening: Strip loin steak with whipped potatoes, and salad. The salad was served on a hot plate along with the rest of the meal, it was warm and wilted arugula, like wet spaghetti and overly large pieces of frisée. The steak was tough and had a very small amount of a watery unseasoned béarnaise sauce on top. This is in contrast to one of the best prepared NY strip entrees we had the year before. The salmon was slightly overcooked and lacked seasoning and acid. It was served on sauteed chard on top of whipped potatoes. I don't think I've ever said there was too much butter in/on any mashed potatoes I've ever had (I love butter), but these potatoes were swimming in it. The same with the ones with the striploin. The experience was a relatively dry salmon on top of a very wet mess. This is in contrast to the salmon we had a year before that was one of the best we've ever had. The creme brulee was absolutely great. On another evening we ordered the kale pesto pasta. The pasta was overworked and bitter, thick, gummy and lacking a good texture I must say this dish was a mess, no central bass notes to bring flavor unity. The pizza was as great as it always is. The grilled chicken sandwich was good as well. Overall, there are so many things we enjoy about the hotel and staff, but this time the food was disappointing

I was pretty amazed how Beth and her colleague were able to keep up with all the tables, inside and outside. Nicely done! We ordered a diverse cross section of breakfast dishes. My wife order the jalapeno popper omelette (5/5) and really enjoyed it. The rest of our party had a good experience with their meals.
