We had a leak during the recent storms in our family room. We contacted Wedge and they advised us they could immediately come out for an emergency repair and inspection. They came out within hours and completed an emergency repair. The workers were professional and showed us photos of the area that was damaged and in need of repair. Wedge provided us with a repair proposal. The price was absolutely competitive and reasonable. We scheduled the repair and they came out sooner than originally scheduled! It was just prior to the March heatwave in the 90's and my home remains cool at 72 degrees without the AC ever coming to aide. When we had a roof leak we only called a couple companies, and ended up using Wedge Roofing. To remove a dozen tiles, replace the sheeting and sealed 3 parts of the roof for $4,800. They sent two guys here one day for 20 minutes to throw tarp on the roof, and the day they did the job they were working for a total of 7 hours. Personally, I think with a few calls I could have found someone to do this straightforward job and not charge me $650/hr for labor. I totally feel ripped off, but thats on me for not shopping around more. read more

Well I'm happy to say Ralph and his crew have done it again! After the great job they did on our tower I had them do one of our back decks, replacing the rotting old wooden railings with new permanent powder coated aluminum railings. I don't know the actual workers names that came out but my wife and girls said they, on every occasion they have had to talk to them, have been super accommodating and kind on every level. So the crew earned 5 stars with the way they treated my family when I was at work. Then, at the end, when there were a few loose ends, just like last time, Ralph himself came out at the end and made sure that all my concerns were addressed perfectly. I am very happy to have hired Wedge Roofing, and soon I will be tackling the rest of my decks and it'll be my pleasure to hire Wedge to make them beautiful and nearly indestructible. I moved into a new house 2 years ago in Sonoma, no one had any idea how old the roof was. I wanted to put solar up but needed to see if the roof would last as long as the new solar installation. Called Wedge Roofing and they sent Billy out right away who flew a drone above the roof and took a look around. The roof had 4 years left which could have been extended with a little bit of work but went with the option to install a new roof with Timberline HDZ Lifetime Shingles. Researching best roofs for no less than 2 years my decision to install a foam roof was a huge change in thinking about roofs. Our house has both pitched and flat roof areas. High ceilings and standard height ceilings. Some rooms with single pane windows and non insulated walls in other areas causing the house to often be cold and hard to heat or too hot for comfort. Our Two gas furnace's solve the cold issues but the hot days discomfort is consistently a problem. The question of roof type solve the homes temperature variations? The short answer, yes. These guys are really great. We live in an Eichler home with a tar-and-gravel roof. The roof was 20 years old and beginning to leak. I had them come in to find out what a new roof would cost. In addition to giving us a quote for a new roof, they told us our roof was actually in pretty good shape and they could do a patch job to give us another five years or so before replacement. We went with the patch option and they did the job last summer, quickly and efficiently. When things got tricky with some re-piping over the roof that a plumber was doing at the same time, they were very helpful -- Ralph Wedge, the owner, even stepped in to explain what the plumber needed to do. All that is great, but where they really shine is service. When the first really big storm rolled in this winter, there was one spot where the roof still leaked. I checked our contract and found that they guaranteed their work for a year. I gave them a call and hoped that maybe they could have someone come out in the next week or two. They said that yes, they were quite busy, but they got a couple guys out THAT SAME AFTERNOON and patched the area that leaked. We've had another big storm and the new patch held. I can't recommend these guys highly enough, they do great work and they stand behind it with fantastic service. Hire them! read more

I try not to write negative reviews but I just had to for this one. After putting in a call for a quote, (operator was very pleasant btw) I received a call back where I was I was asked what where when, upon mentioning where my project was I was told he has bid it 20 times and it would never happen. Never mind that I have never talked to this person in my life. (I'm a new owner) And never mind the fact that this was new construction that no one has bid before. Then after dismissing that I was asked when and told that they are months out. I politely said I understand and that probably wouldn't work, no big deal everyone is busy. I have been in the construction business my entire life, I deal with contractors all the time, and I have great relationships with them all. I have never delt with someone so rude and dismissive in my life, ever, period. The next project I'm working on at the same property is actually a full rebuild of the building he assumed I was calling about, a 6000 sqft restaurant, luckily I know exactly who not to call now :) I'm sure they won't care about this review they are a bigger name in roofing but just figured I would put it out there because you shouldn't treat people so poorly, I never would. read more

They do a really good job and use a solution I like for flat roofs, but I took a star off because they are very expensive.

It rained a lot last week and I wrote the following to directly the owner of Wedge Roofing: "I wanted to tell you what a relief it has been with today's rain to NOT have water dripping into our home in two places.  So far, so good, anyway. This has been a painful 6+ month saga for us, wasting money on another roofer who simply was unable to fix our leaks.  Every time it rained this season, we've had water dripping into our house, even after repeated visits from the other roofer. I finally gave up on them and hired Wedge, and today's rain appears to have stayed outside where it belongs. Thanks to Billy for properly evaluating what was going on with our roof!  Thanks to Santiago and his partner for the quality work they did to seal up our roof!" The other roofer was also local and licensed but clearly incompetent and unreliable (I wrote my first negative Yelp review for them warning people to be careful with them). Wedge assessed the issue(s) quickly and their team fixed the problem with their first visit, which was a huge relief for us. They are more expensive than other roofers but they will be my "go-to" roofer if we have issues in the future. read more

Wedge replaced our tar and gravel roof with a spray foam roof. John, the rep who came and did the original quote and coordinated the work, was very responsive to my questions and concerns. The office was also easy to deal with. When the crew came and did the work, they were tidy and did a great job. The roof looks really good and we had no problems with the recent downpour. We also plan to put in solar, and Wedge was able to coordinate with the solar company, who had to install solar panel stanchions prior to the roof going on. We recently had a foam/solar roof installed by Wedge Roofing. The roof is fantastic. In addition to coming with a 10 year guarantee, the insulation provided by the new roof has noticibly lowered the temperature inside the house by several degrees, allowing us to have to use our air conditioning much less now, during hot days. The roof installation was performed very professionally. The crew showed up on time, and were always polite and solicitious of our needs, even making sure to cover our cars, (as well neighbors cars), when applying the roofing materials, to prevent any damage. The crew was obviously well trained - they had their routines and procedures down to a well organized and executed system. They completed the tear down, preparation work, and final new roof in two days, as promised, with minimal disruption of our normal routines. The new roof not only works well, it is actually very attractive looking.
