Daniel was doing some repairs at my neighbor's place so I asked him if he could look at something with my gutters and roof when he was done over there. Super friendly, helpful, well-informed, and realistic about what shape my roof is in. Definitely calling them back! read more

I used Crandall Roofing in 2023. They did an expert job and made sure areas that had some rotting were addressed properly. Used all the updated materials also. I recently needed some papers for Insurance purposes denoting everything that had been done. Cynthia taking care of everyone was so incredibly kind, resourceful as well as understanding my needs. She knew exactly what was needed. Professional as well as knowledgeable. Great Company. read more

Here is a HUGE shout out for Crandall Roofing. I just had them out for an inspection, my roof is 27 years old and a few shingles blew off in the last windstorm. The estimator, Wayne, said I DON'T need a new roof! This one is good for another 5-10 years. He did say it could use some very minor maintenance. There was no big upsell tactic! I'm so freaking impressed!! Actually, work was more downplayed than anything else.... GREAT JOB CRANDALL ROOFING!! read more

Polite on the phone - that's always a good sign. They showed up as promised to do an estimate (which doesn't always happen; another company kept breaking promises for three weeks before I was able to pin them down to a visit). Crandall was able to make the repair the same day in less than two hours and they charged 1/10 of the price quoted by the other company. That's not a typo or an exaggeration. The other company quoted a price ten times higher. Very pleased. Would happily use Crandall again. read more

My wife and I bought our home and needed a new roof. We contacted Crandall Roofing Inc. They gave us a wonderful price. Working with Daniel Garibay was amazing. He helped us in every aspect of the job picking materials colors. He did a great job of oversight for the work. And a wonderful job of follow up after the job was completed. We highly recommend Crandall Roofing Inc.. ask for Daniel read more

Crandall Roofing did an amazing job with my metal roof. The lines are straight, the color is good, and it's exactly what In was hoping for. But the biggest reason I wanted to give them 5 stars is the way they handled an issue with my roof install. When they first came out to install the roof they had just started working with a new roofing supplier that makes the panels on-site. The panel company didn't do a great job, and left the roofing crew with defective, slightly curved panels, which we didn't catch until the roof was 2/3 installed. Once it became obvious that there was an issue, the crew tried a bunch of different things to try to get them to look good, but ultimately had to pull those panels and go back to their previous supplier. Nobody could have expected that the first set of panels would come out the way they did, and I definitely don't blame them. They were as surprised as I was. But Crandall Roofing handled the situation exceptionally well. From the beginning they made sure that I knew their priority was to get the roof done right. They never tried to pull anything over on me, and I know they lost a lot of money on my job. And when I brought that up they told me that wasn't something I should be concerned with, and that their main concern was getting the roof done right. Everyone wants a job to go perfectly from the start. But this is life and sometimes you get a curveball, like a batch of bad metal. But the best companies are the ones who make sure it ends up perfect no matter what. And that's what these guys did. I can't recommend them enough and will definitely call them back when we decide to out in an ADU. read more

Crandall did a good job with my roof three years ago, but the rain gutter they had installed by a sub-contractor was never correctly installed, even after I complained, from the very beginning, several times. Rain still does not flow uphill. read more

We recently hired Crandall roofing to replace and fix some copper gutters on our home in Mill Valley. They also did some roof repair work. Marco and his team are hard workers who arrived promptly and finish the job in less than a day. In one word, I would describe the services provided as "amazing!" it's not easy to find trustworthy, reliable, and reasonably priced vendors. But you will not be disappointed with Crandall roofing. My husband and I highly recommend them and make sure you ask to speak to Marco. read more

Crandall roofing was hired to repair the roof leakage last January; we paid around $500; the roof stopped leaking for a short time. Last September it started leaking again; we paid around $2500 for the repair; we were told that it is completely fixed this time. Today it leaked so badly; we called them; we are asked to do Docusign. Nothing had been improved; only money is losing with leaking. read more

We had a roof installed by Crandall Roofing about 20 years ago, a few years after we first moved into our new home. Recently, we received a "Notice of non-renewal" from our insurance company for roof "issues". Their data was obtained from some self-serving company that did what was most likely a neighborhood wide helicopter flyover. I suppose you have to pay for your hobbies somehow. We called Crandall Roofing and their response was to send out their manager Thomas to get a closer look, using a drone. The professional determination was that there was at least 5 years of use left of on this roof. He will be communicating this, with photos, to the insurance company. We'll see what happens. Simply based on this personal, detailed effort to help a customer from 20 years ago, and without compensation send communications to the insurance company on our behalf, I will be certain to use this company for our next roofing needs. Thanks Thomas, for your information and efforts on our behalf. And thanks to Jeffrey for your assistance and informaswell. well. read more

I was very fortunate that Crandall Roofing replaced my old, cement tile roof. I had originally contracted to have the roof replaced by a different company, but after a very unfortunate event with that company, they were unable to do the job. I had already had my solar panels taken down in preparation and also was having a large wedding event at my home in just a few weeks, so needed to find a new roofer as quickly as possible. I called several companies but they were all scheduled out several months. That was also the case with Crandall Roofing, but after Thomas heard my predicament, he managed to schedule me in right away. I was so grateful! Thomas, Arturo and the team were great to work with. Communications were excellent and timely. They did an amazing and beautiful job. When they ran into some dry rot problems in really awkward places, they were able to fix it perfectly. They started the job on Monday and it was threatening to rain on Friday. Amazingly, they were able to finish just in time (and my house is big with some complicated issues up there). They cleaned up so well every day - even cleaning our messes that they didn't make! How lucky that we happened upon this wonderful company. I can't recommend them enough! read more

After extensive research into local companies, roofing concepts, and shingle types and brands, we engaged Crandall Roofing to replace our large 28-year-old roof. The whole experience, from initial site visit to final walkthrough, was excellent and highly professional. The end result looks wonderful, and we are so happy to have an attractive roof that will protect our home from the extremes of Sonoma County weather. We selected Malarkey Legacy shingles due to their superior durability, best-in-class ranking, and color choices. The final result really shows the quality of both the product and its installation. We primarily worked with Daniel, Crandall's main project coordinator. He was clearly the most knowledgeable and helpful estimator of all those that visited us and submitted quotes. The communication with the Crandall office staff was great, from the initial contract, site preparation, project status, the permit and paperwork, and final payment. We always knew what to expect and what the next step was. The project itself was very well run, and we preferred the smaller and highly skilled crew over the nearby 1-day rip-and-replace jobs by other roofing companies. As an engineer, I appreciated the attention to detail, especially on our complex roof, and how tidy the job site was left at the end of each day. Everyone in the crew was very friendly and considerate, and always addressed our questions and concerns. Special thanks to Antonio (aka "Tiger"), a skilled craftsman who replaced many rotten fascia and other boards, and fabricated some difficult pieces. Daniel took numerous photos throughout, which helped document the degraded roof structure under the old shingles, the repair work, and also the amazing final result. Our sincere thanks to Daniel and everyone at Crandall for your excellent service, and we absolutely recommend you to those seeking a reliable and appealing new roof installed by experts! read more

High quality workmanship; finished in 3 days as planned; dealt with issues that arose; cleaned area thoroughly.

my experience with Crandall Roofing was awful. I would not recommend them to anyone. Customer service was poor. Canceled less than 24 hours before they were supposed to come out. Excuse was they had a scheduling problem. Finally came out after two weeks. Did a roof repair without informing me and doing a change order. Job took longer than expected. Damaged my gutter and took their time replacing it. Did not put things back when they were done. Left a lot of debris. My ordeal start in March 2023 and finally got a new roof in early December. It's a long story. Hope my new roof holds up. read more

No show, no call. I Just wanted covers for vents on a roof they installed. They said, 'NO problem, we will take care of it', then NO SHOW, no call. I called, they finally came out. Completely different story. read more

Crandall Roofing was organized, efficient, professional and did a first class job on both the repairs /carpentry work and the actual reroofing. The crew really knew what they were doing and were a joy to behold. They removed all debris and even used a metal detector looking for nails etc. read more

Crandall and their crew are amazing. Professional, fast , hardworking from the very beginning. Daniel came out and gave an estimate, answered all of my questions that day and in several follow up phone calls. We knew there might be additional work that needed to be done once the old roof was removed. Turns out Lots of work-dry rot, skylights replaced. They kept me informed the whole time. Explained the problems, offered solutions. Took care of the permitting process. They were all great. They made a super stressful situation pretty stress free. I hope to never need a roofer again, but if we do I will call Crandall again for sure. read more

After a disappointment, no response, from the original roofer, I was referred to Crandall Roofing by Superior Seamless Gutters. The phone is answered by a live person and we were set up with an appointment to make the necessary roof repair. The team arrived as scheduled, on time, and ready to work. With all the recent rain, the problem was solved. I would recomment Crandall Roofing for responsiveness and expertise. Happy with their work. read more

we received several quotes to have our single family homes roof replaced. By far the most through quote came from Daniel at Crandall Roofing. Not only did we get a fair price, we received several photos of areas requiring additional repairs. Not one other company pointed out these issues witch would have been a problem if not addressed. Thank you Daniel for your professionalism and Crandall Roofing for a beautiful, care free roof and gutters. Carl read more

Crandall Roofing recently completed a standing seam metal roof on our home. The roof looks great! Daniel was wonderful to work with from start to finish as was the crew. Easy to communicate any concerns and responsive. The workers were diligent, on time and available to answer questions if needed. They cleaned up every afternoon and made the project as painless as possible. Time will tell how the roof holds up, but for now we are very pleased. Would recommend. read more

It was a pleasure dealing with Crandall Roofing. Daniel G. was the estimator and project leader. He's very knowledgeable, professional, honest, courteous and friendly. He ensured all loops got closed, excellent communication skills! At no time did we feel pressured to buy specific items or options, he presented the information well and let us make the decision. The options he suggested seemed well justified to enhance our roof and glad he suggested them. Tony was the foreman and he and his workers were very efficient, we were surprised how quickly the old roof was removed and replaced over two days. They cleaned up the area, so we couldn't tell they were there, except for seeing the new roof. Our roof was 29 years old, we chose the Hickory color and are very pleased with its rich red/brown hues, the roof looks great! Gaby and Christine (office employees) were equally courteous and friendly, whenever I had to speak to them for the various appointments in the process. Their wonderful follow-thru and call backs were greatly appreciated. Thank you Crandall Roofing for having such an amazing team working for you. :) read more

These people are excellent. They came exactly when they said they would, stripped a 4000 square foot roof and detached garage and hauled it all away same day. The next day the materials were all delivered to the roof using an elevator truck. Some rotted sheeting was found and replaced at a very reasonable additional charge. Shingling was begun midway into the 2nd day and completed on the 3rd day. Clean up was done each day at the end of the day and so far we haven't found a single stray nail. They were extremely efficient and the contract price was the final price other than some extra for metal vents and plywood sheeting, which could not be known until the shingles were stripped. They even shingled our gazebo at no additional charge. Thank you Crandall Roofing. read more

I had this company redo my roof 6 years ago. I had a tile roof and no plywood underneath. During the process of looking for quotes, they were hands down the least expensive and most responsive. I gave them my budget and they kept too it. Even helped out with a few extra repairs. Once I agreed to use them, they were out within a week. They finished my roof within 5 days. I highly recommend them and tell all my friends and family to reach out to them for quotes. read more

I think a company should be judged not only for the completed job but how they help you after. I was concerned about the flange around an exhaust pipe on the roof. Mind you the roof install was 3 years ago. I dreaded calling because times are so crazy and thought I may get the run around. Nope, just the opposite! They came out within days and checked and secured all my exhaust pipe flanges AND blew the leaves off my roof!!! More than I ever expected. I have never given a yelp review but I felt they really deserve a thumbs up!! Thank you! Meg Pieper read more

I was working with Thomas to get a new roof and integrated solar panels = $30k+ project for my home. I was impressed with his follow-up initially. He sent me multiple (incomplete) roofing quotes that kept changing as the solar proposal was refined. As a result, I had many questions to ensure I understand the total cost, the rebate, the tax credit, etc. At this point, he sent an email to me essentially snubbing me for asking too many questions and jumping to conclusions about my intent. My intent was to work with Crandall on this large project as long as they send me one clear contract and a complete proposal, which I had to request several times. On multiple occasions, Thomas reminded me that Crandall has a lot of projects lined up and that he was very busy!! I am going with a different (and slightly more expensive) roofer now, one who treats me with respect and courtesy and who values my business. read more

Selected Crandall after reviewing 3 bids for our new cement tile roof. liked the fact that they were local, source tile made in California and had been very responsive to repair of our old roof. Jack was great throughout the process. Provided the bid and kept me up to date on the process and timing. Augustine led the install crew and they were fantastic. Started every day at 7:30am and cleaned up at the end of each day. Took a total of 5 days for tear off and replace. in this day and age it is so nice to deal with a company that does what it says. Kudos to Jack, Augustine, Gabby and the crew at Crandall. Highly recommended! read more

Anytime I use them they are GREAT! In one case a chain came loose that they had installed months before in the drain/gutter and they sent TWO guys out the next day and spent hours fixing it, charged me NOTHING! Anyone who wants a new roof for their house should definitely contact Crandall roofing in Santa Rosa. They did a superb job on my 31-year old! Leaking Roof Repair --- Great company, a little pricey, but they came out within 5 hours of when I called. This was my second time using them and they were wonderful again. It was $375 minimum for the first hour was more than the $250 I paid back in 2015 but whatever. Daniel and Augustine came out and found the leak right away. Rats had snuck under the tiles and chewed the tar paper. They put new tar paper on, and cleaned out the debris causing the leak in about 30 minutes. They spent the last of their time checking for other issues, checked the gutters, fixed chipped tiles, notified me of a crack in a vent (which they caulked in the interum) then leaf blowed all the mess away and told me how the rats were getting ont the roof. All in the one hour minimum. Thanks again!! read more

Jim came out to perform estimate which fell within our budget, gave a tentative date (of course weather and job priority dependent) and the team showed up right on time. Two days later we have new roofs on our home and garages. The workers were respectful of our property and cleaned up so well, doesn't look like anyone was here! Very happy with the results and will refer our family and friends. read more

I'm very happy with these guys! Jim came out and gave me a quote when he said he was coming, they stared and finished when they said they would and they did what they said they would do! Jim remained available when I had questions and took the time to explain the why and how they approached the process and any issues that may arrive. The crew hustled throughout the entire project (no slackers!) and also took the time to respectfully answer questions. In two days my old roof was removed, replaced and they left the grounds as clean and tidy as they found them. It's refreshing the hire someone who does what they say they're going to do for the price they said it would be! read more

The roof on our house was damaged in high winds. Being new to the area we asked for referrals and Crandall Roofing was on all of the lists. Arturo was at our house the next morning. The Crandall team completed all of the work by 4 PM that afternoon, beating the storm that arrived that night. Awesome job! read more

I called Crandall Roofing to set up an estimate appointment. The lady on the phone was polite and helpful. My estimator showed up on the day of the appointment and was also friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was looking forward to his estimate. I explained that I was leaving for vacation in a couple days and would be gone for a week, so no rush to get the estimate back right away. Four days after my return with still no emailed estimate, I called and left a message. No reply. I waited a few more days and called again. Hey, I'm flexible, and realize mistakes happen. I'm busy, too. No biggie. I was still interested in considering this company for my new roof. However, This time I spoke to a woman who was disinterested and unapologetic about the lack of communication from Crandall since the estimator visited my home. I gave her my information and asked if she would look into it and give me a call back. No response since. Zip. Nothing. The 2 stars are for the friendly estimator & his professionally done packet of info. So long, Crandall. read more

We bought a home that had been partially re-roofed by Crandall during a remodel. The roof was leaking in an area where the flashing was not installed correctly. Owner came out & said, oh well, we just install what we are given and are not responsible for fixing this. Roof was still under warranty, but I guess with them it isn't worth the paper it is written on. At same time, I had them give a bid for re-roofing the rest of the home and doing gutters. The roof bid was **8K** higher than other bids and for the gutters they were charging an extra 2K on top of what they should have cost. Needless to say, we did not go with them read more

Beware of this Company! I was recently given a bid to have my garage roof replaced by this company. A time was established and it never happened. It was impossible to pin them down for a specific start date. We became very frustrated and backed out of the contract. In all fairness they did refund our $500 dep in a timely manner. I would think twice about using Crandall if I were you. They are not reliable or forthcoming. I find it ironic that they post these radio adds touting how much they care about their customers.
