We hadn't had our roof checked recently, so it was time to do it. The two men who came worked for two hours and the price was still the same as the price quoted. We thought we had a detached gutter, but in fact we had a plugged up drain. When it rained it didn't much of a storm to fill the drain up. The gutter wasn't detached, the water from our roof was the drain overflowing. ARS then recommended a plumber we could trust to unplug the clogged drain. (It was clogged with the roots of a bush growing near it.) We definitely recommend this company! read more

Maybe not this company's fault, but I let my HOA Silverview Terrace, Invoice 25248) know that my chimney was leaking, so they had ARS come take a look because they're contracted to do the association's roofs. I didn't realize that chimney repairs weren't covered under the HOA, so when the ARS employees came and noticed an exposed opening at the top of the room, they repaired it with some stucco, which was about 2-3 hrs of work. My HOA then told me I was billed for around $1,000. I was shocked that the small exposed area costed so much, and it was also then that our HOA manager told us it was our responsibility to pay. Had I known this before, I would have tried to repair it with contractors elsewhere. I'm not saying they did a bad job, I just had no idea a roughly 1ftx1ft area of repair was going to be $1,000, and that we had to cover it. It was my ignorance as the HOA manager then pulled up the HOA handbook to say that only roofing , and not chimney repairs, were covered. I felt pretty stupid, but I figured (again my ignorance) that if my HOA elected to assist in scheduling ARS to come take a look, that it would at least be partially paid for. I tried to at least ask my HOA manager to reach out to ARS to get an itemized bill to detail what exactly costed $1,000 for the few hrs of work, and they agreed, but I never heard back from them. Next thing I know, I see the $1,000 cost added to my monthly HOA fees, with a $20 late fee added on top of it. Like I said, at the end of the day it was probably my fault, and I will make sure what the HOA covers next time. I just wish my HOA manager actually followed through on my request before simply adding the bill to my monthly fees. They said they would be talking to ARS the day they agreed too. I assume they probably thought I was being unreasonable. I'm honestly not the kind of person to complain or write these kinds of reviews, but I guess I'll just be more aware next time. It's better to not authorize people to work on your house when it is through the HOA. The fees increase almost every year, but people in HOAs just have to realize the policies and not necessarily believe the HOA is looking out for your best interest financially. Just how things go I suppose. read more

I'm so impressed with this company. They are fast and responding, I felt we got an incredibly fair price and the quality of their work is excellent. We had them re-roof our house 11 years ago and have never once had a problem with their work or the materials. We have called them subsequently for issues with an outbuilding and they've come out quickly dealt with the problem and the cost of the repairs was reasonable. One time they came out they didn't even charge us. The staff both on the phone and in person are polite and helpful. There's not much more you can ask for an a company and it work like this, trust is everything as I know nothing about roofing It's an excellent company and I'm glad to give them my business read more

ARS replaced our 30-year-old roof. The quote and estimate process was clear and detailed and thorough. When the start date arrived, the entire team was cheerful and communcative and ernest. The foreman made sure the roof was watertight every night and they cleaned up the entire workspace around our house every night. They paid great attention to detail with the dianosis and replacement of areas of dry rot and areas that needed repair. The new roof is spectacular. We had a small portion of flat roof and they covered in a way that makes it look like a tank could roll over it. Without a doubt, I was pleased with the whole process and with the undeniably fabulous result. I totally recommend this team for anyone's roof replacement. read more

ARS replaced my roof (which had been improperly installed years prior resulting in leakage, mold, expensive cleanup) and did a stupendous job! Even my neighbors noted how meticulously and efficiently they worked. Letitia and Bret were excellent communicators throughout, and went above and beyond. They truly care about their customers. When I called during the busy rainy season this year to double-check things, Letitia the owner immediately contacted me and sent workers to inspect my attic. Everything was in tip-top shape. I also love that Letitia gives back to community and has created programs to help youth with trade and music education programs. Great company. read more

I placed my order, office staff scheduled and completed all paperwork, completed online payments, field staff arrived early, work started on time, did an excellent job. Details: pads between ladder and house, safety guards, and protective care of all roof rubbish. We couldn't be happier. Have highly recommended to other neightbors. read more

I LOVE this company! They are communicative, on time, and polite. Whenever I had a question, they cared enough to take time to give me an answer, but a helpful explanation, too. The office staff are so fun and have just the best attitude when you call. Such a joy to work with. They even did all the co-ordinating with the solar company so that the solar installation was going to be water tight. I didn't have to do anything other than relax and go about my life. And they were on top of everything! Whenever there was a problem or concern, I got a call back within just a couple of hours. I have recommended them to several people since they did my roof and my neighbors have used them too. All I hear is how satisfied they are with the work that ARS did and how much the process was painless and easy! When I asked about a warranty they explained how the lifetime warranty worked, going so far as to let me know that doing something like painting the gutters would void that warranty. I knew all the ins and outs of how to take care of my roof and what not to do. They gave me so much time and just really cared! Talk about amazing value for the money! read more

ARS Roofing & Gutters - I've never been proud of a roof before now. So stoked! - Roofing Near Me - Santa Rosa, California

ARS roofing removed our aging composition roof and replaced it with a GAF warrantied composition roof in three days. Letitia, Bret and the crew from ARS are professional and courteous people and performed well. I have been in the construction field, retired architect, for over 40 years and I know the difference between good and great work. They did great work. Straight and true, no skipped steps with a minimal amount of disruption to our daily life. The existing plywood sheathing had a few dry-rot spots and ARS replaced the plywood economically and did not allow the extra work to delay the job. In addition Bret had the crew removed and re-installed one the existing fascia gutters that was deforming the old composition roof - gratis. It is also worthy to note that ARS participates in our community with Foundations to help youth and those at risk. I recommend them without reservation. read more

Unfortunately, my roof started leaking again 11 days after the repair, which I paid almost $900 for. When I called them to honor their warranty their work, since it had been less than two weeks, they refused and said I would have to pay $5k more since my repair was an emergency repair only. This is despite their warranty stating I would be entitled to a complimentary call for service within one year if my roof was deemed to be in fair or good condition. I'm really disappointed that repair was not done professionally or thoroughly the first time, that the company would not honor their warranty, and that they had the nerve to try and quote me $5k to repair it correctly once and for all. read more

My first time getting a roof replaced! It's an expensive and stressful proposition, but ARS made it a lot less stressful, at least. They reached out by phone and email on a regular basis, making sure I stayed informed on the timeline for the job (this was during the rainy season, so there was a long wait before they could start working, and they were very transparent and communicative the entire time). The workers did an extremely quick and efficient job (and were very friendly, to boot) and I haven't had any problems with the roof since (although it hasn't been that long yet, to be fair). Overall, I strongly recommend ARS for your roofing needs. I appreciated the way they handled this job and I will probably be going back to them if I need more work done in the future. read more

Highest level of professionalism and empathizing client care is the epitome of this company. I was in need of a roof replacement at my commercial property, so I contacted another local roofer who's done repairs on our property 4 years ago. The bid seemed extremely high, so I decided to shop elsewhere, and I am glad I did. Letitia (owner) was extremely empathizing to our situation. We were in desperate need of getting the roof replaced as our tenants were moving closer to getting their business opened. Her bid was well below what we got quoted from the other company, but that was not the determining factor when deciding to move forward with her. Letitia and the team have been very professional from the start by keeping communication lines open, and providing us immediate updates with plans of the job. While we are waiting for materials to arrive, she offered to fix any leaks at no cost until they were able to replace our roof. She did that once last week, and was out again today! My tenants installed a new HVAC system on the roof, and it needed to be sealed. Because of the forecasted rain, Letitia was able to quickly pull a couple of guys from another job to help us out. I had the opportunity to meet the crew and they were fantastic. They worked quickly to get the repair done, and reminded us to call them immediately if anything came up. It is very reassuring to know the company has your back from day 1. The roof is expected to be replaced in the next few weeks, but I couldn't wait to give them raving reviews for their services already provided. Don't look anywhere else people! They are the best in town! read more

ARS was very helpful when my insurance tried to scare me. ARS helped me to realize I don't actually need a new roof (amazing, since I figured they'd push to sell me one)... They can do a maintenance service for me to get me back in good standing with the insurance. I so appreciate their honesty and help! read more

My wife and I used ARS for our re-roof and our experience with this company was absolutely great. We unfortunately signed our contracts a bit late in the year, so we weren't able to get the job done until well into the rainy season, but what helped SOOO much was that because we were in contract, we were able to use ARS Roofing's Emergency Service at no charge. It definitely saved us at least a couple of times!! When it came time for our job to get done, they were very professional, efficient, and even though we had a lot of "extra issues" (tons of dry rot, re-sheathing, etc.), they got the job done quickly and we now have an incredible roof with a 50 YEAR WARRANTY. We are so happy!! I also love how involved the owner Letitia is in our community. It feels good supporting companies that support others. Thank you ARS Roofing! read more

ARS did a really good job of communicating with us about our job. Some things needed to be changed from the original proposal and Bret got back to me right away to discuss how we could make the changes. Omar and the crew were here early each day, answered any questions I had and worked with me to make sure the repair was done correctly. read more

Having recently had a couple of bad experiences with house related vendors, I was nervous committing to a company to help install several galvanized downspouts. ARS was extremely responsive and professional. Any questions I had were answered immediately. The installer was super professional as well, didn't leave a single sign he had been there other than our beautiful new downspouts. Cleaned up better than anyone else we've worked with. Very much appreciated. Great communicators, couldn't recommend them more. read more

My mom needed new roofing and gutters for 2 duplexes, and chose ARS Roofing & Gutters to perform the work. Letitia met us onsite with roofing and gutter samples, and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The crews did excellent work, especially because there was quite a bit of dry rot that had to be repaired/plywood replaced. We also received photos and updates of the progress via text and email. Everything looks great, and we are so pleased with the outcome! The office staff was wonderful to work with as well. We highly recommend ARS for your roofing and gutter needs! Thank you to all! read more

Our neighbor had ARS do their new roof. They highly recommended them. We chose ARS because of this neighbors great experience. ARS lived up to the to our expectations. I have hired ARS several times to do work on my roof. First, when I bought my house and needed some work done to get it up to code. I also had them install gutter guards. Most recently, I had them clean my roof since it was covered in moss and tree debris. Letitia's crew came out in the rain and spent 4 hours on my roof scrubbing it completely clean. They also cleaned my gutters and did a fantastic job. If you didn't know, ARS is a black-owned business and Letitia, the CEO has been recognized nationally for her entrepreneurship and leadership. She also founded a local nonprofit that helps youth get jobs in construction. Totally 100% worth supporting this awesome company! read more

A couple of weeks ago I woke up to a bubble in the ceiling in my bathroom. Never a good start to the day. So, after some back and forth with Letitia, they came back and fixed all 3 issues I had: - Galvanized water collection point was painted black -Downspout had a proper end added, now it looks good and will empty into the drain point. -Gutter screens were installed on the main house, and to make it much better, they did this for me at no charge. SO, in summary, I will say that although my ARS experience was a difficult one, it ended well. They do care, after all, to have satisfied customers, and take pride in their work and finished product. If you need a new roof, this is the place to come. We just finished replacing our roof, gutters and installing solar, and we couldn't be more pleased. ARS coordinated the timing of everything with Sunrise Solar Company to make sure that everything was done right and completed on time. No need to worry about the roof warranty being compromised because some random solar company came in after the fact and punched holes into the new roof, causing potential leaks.
