Me and my wife went this morning for breakfast and at first it was good the greeter was nice and welcoming. But once we sat down the server was rude and didnt get my wife's order right. Second, my wife's papas bowl bacon was raw still and the egg was way to over cooked, thired, when me and my wife were driving to run errands we both started to feel very sick. We both were fine until we ate there. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a wecks, my suggestion for service and food quality is go to the on coors and 1-40 always top of the line food and service all in all I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this restaurant and I grade it an F or 0 out of 100. read more

One of last days, we decided we needed a nice recovery breakfast. It's a small café in the strip mall. It seemed like a nice hangout for the locals. I went simple and ordered the french toast plate. They're not texas toast size, but still decent. They came with powdered sugar and syrup on the side. Also, I ordered their drip coffee (which was good for a breakfast café). The bathrooms are small, so on busy days, expect to wait. Overall, our server was friendly, the manager went around and greeted customers, and the prices were nice. read more

Another GREAT Weck's experience! We visited on a Saturday morning at 10:30 and had no wait for a table of 4!!! We requested a table on the edge and were granted our request. The food was really good! The service was perfect - our server was attentive and polite. I recommend every Weck's location I have visited!! *Beware the parking at this location. If you are pulling a trailer this would not be a location to stop at. If your party has those who struggle with walking you should drop them off at the door before parking. 3.5 stars... Large portions and quick service for breakfast around 10am. Pancakes were easily 12in across and 2 inches high, thick and fluffy. Eggs were cooked correctly, bacon was chewy. Liked the quiet ambiance of the restaurant. Even though it was breakfast time on a Thursday morning and the location was at least 1/2 full the tone was low level and you didn't have to yell to talk to your partner/companion. Melissa was a wonderful server and very personable. It shows that she loves her job and does it to high level. The food was amazing. Server walked Away in the middle of my kids ordering drinks, like just straight up walked out of the room. We never got refills and never got service other than to take our drink order and food order. I will never return to this Wecks. Had some time to kill while waiting for my car to be served at a dealership. They had a courtesy shuttle drop us off at Weck's for breakfast. We were promptly seated and then waited over 10 minutes for our server to approach our table. We ordered and got our meals in a reasonable amount of time. There were empty tables, so the place was not slammed. I ordered a spinach and Swiss cheese omelette with a side of sour cream and avocado. I was served a spinach and Swiss cheese omelette with guacamole inside. Ut! Uh! Not what I ordered and the combination taste was awful. I told our waiter and he would not acknowledge the mistake. I flagged down a waitress and asked to speak to manager Patricia and she then had the proper omelette remade for me. Thank you. The rye toast came out burned and dry. Maybe just a bad day in the kitchen or a miscommunication. After I had spoke to the manager, our waiter never apologized, and would walk past our table deliberately not looking at us. He never offered a refill on our beverages. We ended up settling our bill with the manager, as our waiter still was avoiding us. The cost of the omelette graciously was deducted from the bill due to the error. This was not our best Weck's experience. The Weck's in Rio Rancho is much better read more

Very relaxed and traditional NM feel so if you're looking for a touristy place this may not be for you. But if you want good NM cooking, kindness and the ABQ feel then this is your stop. Service: Polite and kind service. Even in a packed house they don't rush you just to get another seat in the chair. Patrons are treated with respect, which is one reason why locals wait to get in. If you're visiting the area please respect them too. There are no rush-rush attitudes here. Food: Good to great depending on your dish. Traditional NM cooking is great, and the portions are big. Everything is properly prepared so if you want sunny-side up or poached eggs you'll get it as it should be. Great cooks! But non-homemade sausage patties, etc. are just good. I also found the chicken fried steak a step down from the east coast eatery's. That said, the pancakes, tortillas, etc. make Wecks the best breakfast and brunch in ABQ. Cleanliness: Excellent. Weck's is always my first restaurant when I visit Albuquerque. It's been my favorite spot for years because of the wonderful service, great prices, and great food. And it's clean. What happened to quality at this location? Two of our orders were wrong and the third, a sandwich, came out with what appeared to be grease on the entire plate. Usually order something from value meals, but saw the New Mexico Eggs Benedict that I just had to order. Glad I did because this is a solid Benedict with one half pork carnitas and the other a sausage. Came with a side of hash browns that mix well with the hot green chilies . I came here with some coworkers for lunch last week. I've always had great experiences with Wecks over the years, but this day was definitely an exception. Normally they are quick at bringing out their food but we sat there for 30 minutes without our food and then only had five minutes left to eat. I had asked for a salad without cucumber because I'm allergic and they brought the salad with cucumbers in it. He brought me another one without which was nice but we had been waiting for so long for our food that I wasn't very happy it was wrong the first time. I ordered a spicy Ruben. It would've been good but since it had been sitting for a long time, the bottom bread was very soggy. I figured they would have their weekday lunches figured out in order to have the working population able to come in for a quick 45 minute bite but that certainly wasn't the case last week.
