My lease was just about up (1 month left) on my Range Rover Evoque and rather than turn it in and break even I figured why not see if I had a little equity in it since I was so far under the allotted mileage. So my first stop was CarMax in Frederick, MD - top notch place and very professional but they offered me right at what the lease payoff was. I was pretty bummed. On my way back to the interstate for a defeated drive back to my home in WV I passed guy holding a Cash Money Cars sign. I said what the heck and stopped and asked for directions there, conveniently a few minutes from CarMax. There I met Tony, a very easy going guy and senior buyer who explained the process start to finish with no pressure and no BS. He gave me an offer within 20 minutes for more than $2000 over the CarMax offer. I told him I'd consider it and sat on the offer for about a week. I was just about to go ahead and trade my Evoque towards my new car but then Tony called and followed up and went through the process one more time - he said we could have it done in under 40 minutes. So I went there the past Friday, sat down and did the paperwork, and walked away with a nice check for my leased vehicle - all in under 40 minutes. And just an FYI, it's very rare to walk away TO THE GOOD on any leased vehicle, you are usually lucky if you just break even. I admit I was skeptical at first but without a doubt I would do business with Cash Money Cars and Tony again. Do yourself a favor and skip CarMax and go straight to these guys.

The excuse? They "rounded," used a 21-day payoff instead of the standard 15, and passed on loan company fees to the seller. None of this was disclosed up front. Also, their hours are listed wrong--they close at 7, not the time posted online or on the door. I found that out the hard way. Bottom line: Do your own math, double-check everything, and be ready to call out the BS (not Gus--he's solid). Personally, I'd recommend going across the street to from carmax instead.

Thanks to Paige I now have a 2021 stick shift versa that I got for an AMAZING deal almost 3 grand under market value with only 77k miles on it and the vehicle had FOUR brand new tires, new brake pads, and was previously owned by a smoker and you wouldn't be able to tell from the smell, just a few little burn holes in the floor and seat but I would never expect a dealership to completely replace the upholstery on a pre-owned vehicle lol Great people, great service, and even greater comradery between the team.
