HIGHLY recommend Webster's! Could not believe how quickly Ed, the owner from Webster's, responded! I left a quote request Monday night before going to bed at midnight. Thought I'd see something in the morning whenever they opened. Ed responded at 5 am by email when he got up for the day and BEFORE he went to work! I had three leather couch cushions that were so flat that we were having trouble getting up off the couch after sitting down. They were also leaving us with backaches. (We bought new foam for them two years ago which was already going flat.) Ed said he'd have to see the cushions to give me an estimate -- and offered to come by my house on his way to work! I did not expect that at all. Thought I'd have to schlepp them to their office personally. Ed came by and gave me a very reasonable price to fix upgrade the cushions to a higher density/higher quality foam. Each cushion has a second sewn in section on top that provides additional filling to add extra fluff. (that's the only way I can think to describe it.) Ed didn't think it needed replacing, but when he took it back to the shop, the guy who actually does the upholstery ON HIS OWN put in filling on one of the cushions to take the second sewn-in section from two inches to four inches. Ed felt it was such an improvement that he called me, told me what they'd done and asked if I wanted them to go ahead. Since it wasn't part of the original job estimate, he offered to do it at cost! I needed to get the cushions back before the weekend, since I was having a party. Then... the last surprise. Webster's truck brought the cushions back to my house 3 HOURS LATER. (Along with two leather thrown pillows I asked them to re-stuff.) The cushions (and pillows) are great. We can now get off the couch without using a hoist (just kidding about the hoist part). The couch is comfortable and our backs NO LONGER HURT from being on something that sinks so low it feels like sitting in a loosely slung a hammock. Have Webster's do your upholstery. You can't go wrong. read more

Being new to Kern County, I did not know where to get a vintage platform rocking chair reupholstered. I got so lucky when I selected Webster's Interiors! Webster's has been in business for over 45 years and their careful attention and professionalism is evident! From the moment I found Webster's Interiors' terrific website to the moment I walked into the showroom, I knew that their work would be top-quality! Mr. Ed Hayes helped me select a fabric for my 70-year old upholstered rocker that would bring it into this century while retaining a vintage feel. The arms of the rocking chair and the platform base needed some work and Mr. Hayes had the best specialist for the job! The work was done expertly with a keen eye for detail. The chair hasn't been in such good condition since 1986. I truly believe it's in better condition NOW because the professionals at Webster's Interiors used their expertise to restore my platform rocker to excellent condition. I highly recommend Webster's Interiors for all your upholstery needs! They are professional, highly skilled and committed to excellent quality and customer service, and at competitive prices! If it were possible, I would have given 6 stars!!! read more

Ed Hayes of Webster's Interiors just completed the reupholstering of the two command chairs and two hide-a-beds in our 40' Motorhome. Webster's did a terrific job. We took it to Webster's mid-morning on a Monday and it was finished by the afternoon of Thursday. In fairness we didn't get a bunch of estimates. Webster's was the only shop I contacted that had the ability to accommodate a vehicle that is 40' long and 9' wide. We are, however, very satisfied that we were fairly charged for a very professional job. We are very happy, and will use Webster's again! Thanks, Ed Bill & Geri D. Another homerun hit for us by our FB friend Ed Hayes and the crew at Webster's Interiors. If you follow my FB posts, you know that last month Geri and I acquired a 2003 Mini Cooper (dubbed Gidget2) to tow behind the Motorhome (Moondoggie). Gidget2 is in very good shape (even ding free) for a car with more than 100k showing on the odometer. However, the driver's seat was looking its age. We took her to Webster's and the seat got returned on the same day looking brand new (color even matched to the rest of the 13 yr old upholstery). Thanks Ed and read more

We recently discovered Webster's Interiors and are so grateful we did. What a find! I am now actually examining the rest of the furniture in my house to see if there is anything else I can take it in. So far, we have had 6 dining room chairs, 4 pillows, 1 desk chair, and 1 very unique and special sacramental-use chair upholstered. Every piece came out beautifully and professionally done. Ed is so professional, with an obvious commitment to excellence in service and craftsmanship. He also under-promises and over-delivers. He told me he did not think he could have our order completed until after Thanksgiving, and then surprised us by having it done way prior to the holiday. The antique sacramental chair badly needed repair and fresh fabric. The fabric Ed helped us find is exquisite, and the chair has a new life! I am actually considering having a gathering of people over so we can admire and celebrate together the arrival of this gorgeous and meaningful work of art. How many people want to have a party to celebrate a new chair?? :) Thank you, to Ed and the excellent craftsmen at Webster's Interiors. Constance & Tim read more

I had a really great experience with getting a couple of antique chairs reupholstered at Webster's recently. A few months ago I got a couple of antique chairs from my Grandmother's barn when we were cleaning out all the old furniture. The chairs had definitely seen some better days, but Ed assured me that they've done this kind of work before, and I had seen some examples of previous work they had done on antiques. I set up a time to drop of the furniture, picked out fabric that I liked, and the chairs were done a few weeks later. They came out even better then I thought, and Ed went the extra mile to clean up the wood and make sure everything looked like he had promised! I am extremely satisfied with the service. I had chairs that were framed the same but with different cushion styles, upholstery fabric, and wood that had weathered differently. After taking the chairs to Webster's they looked almost identical. I will definitely be taking any future upholstery jobs to this business. If you're uncertain and looking for a place to get work done this is it. read more

I base most of my purchases, etc on honest reviews. I looked up Webster's Interiors and decided to give them a try based on their stellar reviews. I'm so glad I did! First of all, it is so refreshing to be greeted by people who are kind and actually like their job. I talked with Ed regarding my two different pieces of furniture. He was knowledgable and I felt he really understood what I was wanting done. They took an old, ugly "grandma" chair and turned it into a beautiful "young lady". The other piece was a very small almost antique like bench with a back. It was in need of a cushion. We worked together to find the appropriate type of cushioning then came up with fabric and trim to coordinate with the existing bench fabric. It turned out really nice! It was a gift for my husband for Christmas and he loved it. By the way, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly my items were finished. I've already got a few more pieces around my home that I want redone and I will definately go back. I highly recommend Webster's Interiors! read more

Ed and the people at Webster's restuffed the cushions on our twelve year old leather couch and chairs. He gave us a great price and extraordinary service. He and one of his guys came one day to get the chairs and moved chairs from our sitting room to take their place. Then they finish the chairs and bring them back the very next day and took the couch...which they finished a day early. It's like we got brand new furniture. I cannot believe how comfortable our furniture is now. Ed quoted me a price, but he then discovered he needed bigger padding for the job. He agreed to absorb the cost of the sales tax to give me an overall discount. Great service and integrity. My wife has already given out their name to other people. I highly recommend Ed and Webster's Interiors. read more

I have one word to describe them, AMAZING. First, they picked up and dropped off my couch for no extra fee. This is a huge plus since I don't have a truck. Ed even gave me a quote after I sent him photos via text. Everyone else I called told me to bring it in before they would even give a number. This was a problem without a truck. As to the couch, I gave him the most hideous piece of furniture with scuffs along the bottom wood railing. He sent it back with the fabric I gave him and he even refinished the wood railing without me asking. I don't even recognize the couch. It is beautiful and the centerpiece of my living room. In short, if you want attention to detail, professional service, and the job done right the first time, go to Webster's. read more

Seven Oaks Country Club recently completed a patio renovation of our Oak Terrace. With the purchase of the new outdoor patio furniture, we where not happy with the fabric choices, price and quality of the manufactures seat cushions. We were referred to Ed and his team at Webster's Interiors. They came out on a moments notice and were able to manufacture 80 high end quality patio seat cushions to compliment the new patio furniture that we had purchased. The customer service, speed of service and quality of the cushions is outstanding and we are very pleased that we selected Webster's Interiors for this most important project for our Club. I would highly recommend calling Ed for any project that requires a quality product big or small. read more

I had the pleasure of discovering Webster's Interiors when I recently had my antique sofa recovered. I knew I wanted someone I could trust with my favorite sofa, and I was so lucky to find Ed from Webster's. I was more than satisfied with my beautiful sofa, as it looked better than when I originally purchased it over thirty years ago. His meticulous work was outstanding and his eye for detail was on point. Not to mention this phenomenal job was back by wonderful customer service. Ed is such a kind, talented man, and more than trustworthy with any piece of furniture. Very positive experience! Ed Hayes is courteous, knowledgeable, honest, and professional! My sofa spent years at my home, then went to my father-in-law's home for 8 years, then made its way back home to me. Needless to say, it was in need of a major make-over. Ed acknowledged the quality of the sofa and assured me that re-upholstery was a worthwhile investment. The fabric selection at Webster's Interiors is substantial and I appreciated Ed's patience and guidance in the selection of the right fabric for this project. I am thrilled beyond words with the finished product! Thank you Ed and your staff for my beautiful sofa! Now to re-upholster the dining room chairs! read more

Thank you Webster's! Our extra large "Big Man" recliner was 15 years old...I say "was" because, thanks to Webster's, we have a brand new recliner...better than new...and for much less than the cost of a new one! Ed was courteous, reliable, and actually exceeded our expectations. Our leather chair was on it's last legs...or so we thought. Webster's rebuilt the chair, including repairs to the frame we had no idea were necessary. The rebuild was completed in only a few days, and delivery was just as promised. High quality materials and craftmanship all around. We have nothing but high praise for everyone at Webster's. Highly recommended! - Ron and Kelly Palmer read more

Ed Hayes with Webster's Interiors is professional and a master of his craft. I had a couch cushion recovered and it looks amazing. I found Ed to be extraordinarily professional and easy to work with. I live in a small town outside of Bakersfield and I needed a cushion recovered after my cat put a tear in the material. I called Ed and he was willing to work with me via mail! I sent him a fabric sample and he quickly sent me a fabric sample in return to make sure I was satisfied with the match. I was then able to simply send him the cover of my couch cushion, which he replicated perfectly! The quick turn around was amazing. Thank you to Ed and Webster's Interiors. read more

I had this wonderful down chair & 1/2 for many years. It was lovingly known as Grandma's Chair and had been through many years of grandchildren's hugs and stories. But sadly, all the love had finally worn it down. My heart was broken to let the memories go but then my sister told me about Ed Hayes and Webster's Interiors! I can't say enough about Ed's professionalism and skill. He help me find the perfect fabric and did a beautiful job. Grandma's Chair is back, looking better than ever, and ready to add many more years of memories. I would recommend Webster's to anyone, and everyone, who values their furniture. Jennie S. read more

Ed at Webster's was great to work with, as I explained what I wanted he understood my vision. I was requesting a material that Ed was unfamiliar with but was eager to work with me to source what I had wanted. I had wanted to use some materials that would have broke the bank but Ed was there to talk me off the edge without degrading the quality or appearance. These are 1960s era low lounge chairs and Webster's truly worked miracles and transformed these would be trash heap relics into Stunning pieces of art. Very affordable, listens to his clients and will explore options with you. Thank You Ed! From John W. read more

Love! Love! Love! my chair that I had reupholstered from Webster's. I found a chair at Goodwill a while back and thought I was going to reupholster it myself. That idea was quickly changed after I realized that I was not prepared to take on the chair myself. I can't say enough about the quality workmanship that was put in my chair. If you ever need to have anything reupholstered, Webster's is the place to go for sure! I knew that I was in good hands after meeting the owner and finding out that Webster's was a family owned business originating from the 1920's. Thank you again for the wonderful job done! read more

Websters have done excellent work for us in the past. They reupholstered an antique chair for us after we brought them the bare frame. Our second job was an antique sofa. The upholstery was in great shape but the filling in the cushions was bad and springs were in need of replacement. They removed the covering and rebuilt the inside of the sofa, recovered it and we couldn't be happier with their work. Two weeks ago we had a small foot stool job that we needed completed quickly. We called Ed and he fit us in and we had our piece back in record time. Thanks Ed for your excellent service. read more
