Our sales person finally contacted us, gives us another set of days for installation. Again, never contacted again, and the dates are completely missed AGAIN, and still no customer service contact. From a technical perspective, Abraham is an excellent craftsmen. I had 4 sets of shutters that were…read moreabout 30 years old and were falling apart due to degradation of the wood causing multiple pins to fall out. The easy thing to do would be to recommend all new shutters. However, Abraham suggested that for about 1/3 the cost of new shutters, he could refinish and repaint the units, restore or replace the defective wood, and replace all the pins and secure them with glue. The shutters were installed yesterday and both myself and my wife are delighted with the result. Abraham is a hard working, warm person who communicates extremely well. What people may not know about Abraham is that he came to this country when he was young and did not speak English. He also had a birth-related disability in one of his arms that was a barrier to his getting employment. He was eventually hired by the original owner of the business who taught him the skills to be a superior craftsman. For that, he is extremely grateful: he is also appreciative of the opportunity that being in the United State has provided. He is now the owner of the company where he was given his start. He is also very proud of the fact that he employs several people in his shop. From a technical and personal perspective, I fully recommend Abraham for shutter refinishing, fabrication as well as general carpentry needs.

I am horrible at making long term decisions and I feel confident in the selection I made. I am excited for them to be installed and will post pictures soon. Danco was the only company that followed through on their appointment time. The other five were no-shows and no call back to reschedule, definitely not the best way to gain my business. Danco gave us a quote that was fair when compared to online companies. The difference is that Danco gave us the ability to contact them anytime without having to going through some call center in a different country or waiting forever for a call back. When you call Danco, Dan's wife Dana is the one that will most likely be answering the phone and it won't take long to feel like your talking with someone you know. Danco is a local company so your money is staying right here in Bakersfield, not some huge corporation back east that you'll never hear from again when you need customer service.
