Very nice friendly people who work at this business. Decided to tackle a retrofit window myself and I had an individual named Juan assist me. He was very helpful and willing to assist me in understanding everything I would need to get the job done. Only down side for me was they don't open weekends and it was a bit hard for me since I work Monday thru Friday. Other than that I highly recommend this business for your window needs. read more

Century Glass - Retrofit window - Windows Installation Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Highly recommend. I will do business with them again and here's why. These guys really did me a solid. I needed to replace a stationary dual pane window with only one side of the glass broken. They were patient, explaining to me in detail how thy build a new window and why all the materials have to be new so everything fits perfectly. I've never replaced a window on my own or at all for that matter. I installed the new window reusing the old spacers right where they were with the old window. It was a tight, tight fit, but I got it in. The next morning, there was a crack from top to bottom. I called them and they told me to bring in the window. They explained that the new window has a small margin of error in the measurements and that every window must be spaced as needed. So me reusing the same spacers caused too much pressure at one point and the window cracked. So these guys offered to rebuild me a new window at cost and have it ready that same day. I can't tank them enough for the customer service and the understanding they had. The new window with the spacers removed and installed only where they were needed, only three across the bottom, fit great. I did notice inconsistent gapping between the window and the frame, indicating that my window from a must be out of square. None the less, there was still space enough all the way around the window that there shouldn't be any future problem. read more

I've been with this business since I bought my home in 2021. They restored my shower doors that were in bad shape. Every time I call, they are always so nice on the phone. I've been back twice since 2021 to purchase new rubber stripping for the side and bottom shower doors. I'm not sure if it's the material that's it's made of that's the issue on why they don't last long. I've replaced my dual pane windows with them as well. It's been good since then. They're a bit pricey since their glass are of good quality. They charge an arm and a leg for their labor fees such as removal of old glass and even just to add the rubber stripping to your shower doors, but they do a good job. Their preferred form of payment are checks and cash. If you pay with card, they'll charge at least 2% which is normal. They are only open Mondays to Fridays which is not convenient since I work during their work hours. Hopefully in the future they will open on a day on the weekend. read more

Daniel and Christian came out to replace a glass that was framed in the living room. They did a super great job and got it done within record time. I was not timing them but I know they made no mistakes and they were done before I knew it. They also took some other measurements for me to use in the future! The sales people do a good job of finding exactly what is needed. Several years after buying replacement vinyl windows, one spring/cable mechanism broke. The salesman found the exact part I needed at a reasonable price and provided clear instructions on how to install it. Good job! read more

This company is amazing from sales to bids and installation to purchase they are kind, helpful and honest. Installers are very well trained and efficient, and clean up and haul away any packaging. We have used them for our window and bathroom mirrors and shower doors for over a decade. So appreciate the professionalism and ability to meet our needs. read more

Someone broke the outer portion of my double-paned front door. I called Slatco and was told that they could come out and look at it in a month! I asked if it could be sooner, but they said "No, and if you aren't satisfied with that answer, you can call someone else." I had never been told to go somewhere else, so I did. Century Glass was fast, efficient and much less expensive as anywhere else I had called. You don't even have to ask any questions, because they answer all questions before you even know what to ask. VERY efficient! I could not recommend someone better to do the job. read more

Century Glass - Paint goes up next. - Windows Installation Near Me - Bakersfield, California

Quick response to come out and give estimate, very knowledgeable estimator worked with me on installation options and cost. Office staff was very nice and easy to work with. Glass and materials looked amazing however installation lacks in finishing details. Clear silicone wasn't consistent and just smeared all over tiles and floor with bubbles throughout, currently leaking too. Clear stick on edging had extra adhesive that I was told nothing could be done about it, so I had to use razor and cleaned up edge myself. I did review issues with forman and he offered to "do better" with a different crew. But once crew arrived said they couldn't do any better and was just sent to close out job. Can't recommend as final installer to just buy doors then yes. read more

I have old windows and one of them would not slide or open. I arranged to have 3 companies give me bids to fix or replace the window. First company said it could only be replaced and it would be $950. Century Glass came out and was able to fix and service the window so it slides and closes easily. Minimal cost. Very professional. Highly recommend this company. Oh, I cancelled the third estimate. read more

This company has the opportunity to be probably one of the best glass places in bakersfield. However, as a realtor we often have to call companies and get quotes and it might take a week for us to get somebody paid. My client put a deposit down and century Glass did the work. However, they harassed me non-stop about bringing a check into them for the remainder of the balance. I explained to them that the house was about to close any day but they wouldn't work with me at all, even though we had paid a deposit. The company asked if they could just pick up the check themselves from the title company and I obliged. The title company had the check waiting at the front desk and nobody showed up to pick up the check. After that I received multiple calls demanding payment even though the payment was sitting there. I offered again to go and pick up the check and deliver it to them and they said they would send somebody, at that time they did. However, much to my surprise after they had picked up the check themselves I received more calls from them demanding payment. My company was also looking for a reliable source to replace some windows and I had originally recommended century Glass but after my experience with their payment system I will not use them again. Nobody has time to be called 20 times over a small invoice. I could understand if the invoice had not been paid over multiple weeks but this was not the case. I got them paid quickly and in that time received so many calls it was ridiculous. My experience with the salesman were great so hopefully they can get the rest of the infrastructure figured out. read more

After another glass vendor basically told us what we wanted could not be done, Century glass made it all happen. 60 year old, 11 X 4+ panels of four replaced on the patio. Unbelievably beautiful and such a professional company to work with. Also fit 4 panels of decorative glass in two wrought iron interior doors. We are very happy customers and highly recommend them. read more

These folks are top notice, professional and quick. We had a broken window due to a robbery. Getting this installed quickly was important and necessary. Not only did they repair the window, they took the time in the showroom to show us how to pop it back in after they were done with the repairs. The price was very reasonable. I will use them again in the future Joe and Jeri Gonzales read more

I have used Century Glass before and each time have purchased multiple windows for over $1000 of purchases each time. I just recently pushed another 8 windows and paid around $1100. One of the windows needed was a 3' x 4' instead of a 4' x3' which was purchased, so I had asked my contractor to exchange the window for the right size. The sales rep called me and asked for an additional $12 for the exchange of the window which is the same size! This was a pretty act on behalf of Century Glass (Juan specifically) to ask for the $12. This should have been a simple exchange without any additional charges. Having purchased thousands of dollars of products from them, I will definitely not use them again in the future. I would suggest others to do the same! No sense of customer appreciation or value. read more
