I got to know Oildale Glass by accident when the painting contractor accidentally tripped this antique mirror and brought to Oildale Glass to repair. I have a double pane tempered glass by the tub that cracked 16 years ago. Since there were repair work in parts of my house due to a flooding caused by a broken waterline to the master bathroom toilet, it was time to go ahead and replace the glass in this window. Since Oildale Glass is a small family run company, it took a few days before they came out to measure and inspect the project. The office called me the next day with the quote and estimated time to get it replaced. 2 weeks later the dual pane tempered glass came in and they came by to replace it. The wife made the appointment for this place and with dropping the window frame off and dealing with the owner, this place was a great choice. The owner pointed out some flaws in a window frame we had, more than likely from some schmuck attempting to break into our travel trailer, which subsequently broke the single pain window we had in place. Even though he wasn't able to fix the frame, he did point us in the right direction for a plexi-glass replacement, which he installed for a super reasonable price. I'd say for any other window replacements we will definitely be using them. They are very reasonable and will walk you through the process. The owner might be a little on the gruff side, but just deal with it people. You're there for a window replacement, not a dinner date. I reached out to them to replace glass on two french doors. My french doors had broken glass window panes. They were able to order the glass and were open on a Saturday for the work to be done. They responded within hours and it's a family business the father scheduled us and the son Jr. Came and did it within 20 mins it was a fair price great professional work. Wanted to shop local for our bathroom remodel so we ordered our custom 26 x 66 mirror with Oildale glass. I was told it would be there later that day or early the next morning. The next afternoon or 2 days later can't remember which I called because I hadn't heard anything. The lady said ya it should be here by now let me call them and see what's going on. Hour or so passes and I call back and see tells me ya I'm busy so I haven't called. I'm thinking, well ya I'm busy spending my money with you so where is my mirror. Her attitude was awful. After a few calls back and forth she tells me, our mirror is being cut and will be there the next day. It's being cut??? You told me it was on the delivery truck so to me it seemed she forgot to place my order? So that's that. My boyfriend goes to pick up the mirror and he mentioned she was rude. He never pays attention to that stuff. He said he walked in and she saw him while she was in her office but didn't say a word to him like I'll be right with you . Nothing. Our price was fair for the mirror but I don't care for the ladies attitude we were dealing with. read more

My husband called Monday and ordered a sheet mirror for our bathroom vanity. By Tuesday afternoon, it was ready for pickup! It's a great piece and will I'll the space nicely. To top it all off, they gave us a military discount, and they don't even realize how much it is appreciated as my husband just got orders and money is tight. If you expect good service DON'T use them. I called them no less than six times. Left two messages, spoke with someone three times & gave up speaking to anyone the other two times. But what really upset me is the first time I actually spoke to the lady she promised to get my window replaced within a couple days & to call me back by the next day for confirmation. I waited eight days for the call. When I got through to her on the eighth day she made excuses & promised to call me back within a couple hours. A week later I called to have them simply cut the glass instead of install it, since OBVIOUSLY they didn't want my business. Then I find out they don't even have the putty to put it in & I have to go to another store to get that! So over two weeks I was brushed off, no apology, & I have to go to a second store to get all of what I need!! I am SO disappointed they USED to be a good place to do business. If they weren't the only glass place I could find open they would NOT have gotten any of my business. To bad I couldn't give them a minus 5 star rating. read more
