The etch-a-sketch software they use to design our master bathroom does not calculate the drywall, plaster and tile which matters when every inch counts. "We won't start the job until all material is received". 8 days later, "we got a huge job elsewhere so we're going to start on your bathroom now and continue as material comes in." Taking time off work to accommodate their schedule was a pain. The crew that did the demo and new installation installed the Shower faucet that leaked causing water to fill between the walls on the first use. They had to come out, install new faucet and replace the drywall. Rick stopped responding to my call and emails so I was forced to communicate with the contractor he hired. Stucco cracked on outside wall where they installed the soap dish cubby. The shower drain had to be brought up to code bustarted smelling less than a year later. This would happen every few months. Called a plumber who ran a camera and found gravel in the line and said it's either from the install or a connection came loose and debris is filling the line. Ran into Rick and asked him about it and was told "it's out of warranty". The only bright side was that the cabinets we picked out came out great and the tile work was perfect.

Firstly, we went about our Kitchen remodel backwards. We initially were only going to install a new…read moredouble oven, that soon expanded to all new kitchen appliances. Since we were getting all new appliances, we decided to resurface our cabinetry. I went out and solicited several quotes, many stated that the cabinets were not worth resurfacing and suggested we purchase new cabinets, others said similar but suggested painting instead of refinishing, of course my wife and I liked the natural look of the wood grain and were set on refinishing and wanted to keep within our budget and these quotes would not allow for that. We came across Lagunas Custom Kitchens via word of mouth and called Mr. Lagunas out to provide a quote. He too recommended new cabinets, but only because it would take a shorter period of time to install than the labor intensive act of refinishing. Since we had already purchased our appliances (based on our existing cabinetry - remember we did this backwards), he provided us a reasonable quote to refinish. Over the next couple of weeks my wife and I decided on a specific color we wanted for our dated oak cabinets which Eleuterio "Tello" created several samples of until the depth of color was what we wanted. During this process we also decided to install new counter tops and replace the cabinet doors and drawers with the soft close hinges on the doors (I highly recommend these), that Eleuterio recommended and the additional cost was reasonable enough that I would be a fool to have not taken advantage of the upgrade. Of course, I forget the rest of the cabinets throughout the house don't have those soft close hinges so I end up slamming many shut, much to the Mrs. dismay. Well now that we had everything chosen it was time to schedule the work to be completed, and again Eleuterio came through for us. He was finishing up a large entertainment unit project and said we would be next in the schedule, but there was large project involving new homes he needed to provide a quote, so the project start would be at least a week out with about two weeks worth of work. I had informed Eleuterio that we had a hard date for the appliances install that I had to fight for with the store that I purchased them and that timeline would not be soon enough. So, he called me and asked if he could start that Friday and he would do what he could to meet the deadline. Not only did he meet the deadline he exceeded it and he and his counter top and plumbing subcontractors finished the entire job within a week. After watching Mr. Lugunas work long hours resurfacing my cabinets while ensuring no dust escaped the kitchen area by sealing the room off with plastic, tape and paper to not damage our hardwood floors bringing equipment in and out of the house, I feel I received a sweetheart of a deal. The man even worked on his birthday to complete the job for me (I bought cupcakes and drinks for the crew as a little thank you for the hard work in honor of Mr. Lagunas' birthday. Now I can't guarantee you will receive the same level of service I did, I mean I asked for the almost impossible, but I do know he will give 110% to meet and exceed his customer's desires. He will provide recommendations but never pressure you to accept them. I know from his portfolio that he shared with us he does a lot of custom work, and I look forward to working with him again. All of this service at the most reasonable pricing. Thank you Eleuterio, my wife and I couldn't be more happy with our kitchen remodel.

There was a girl cleaning the store, a lady sitting behind a huge desk, and another worker behind a desk tucked away at the side of the building. The woman at the desk yelled across the room asking what we came for, which seems kind of silly at a kitchen and bath showroom, obviously were thinking about a remodel. We told her we are in escrow on a house and looking to do an immediate remodel. She said something along the lines of "feel free to look around" and then dove right back into her work at the desk. The entire time we looked around (about 10 mins), we walked the whole showroom. Not a single person spoke to us again inside or even got out behind from their desks. We ended up leaving because the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We wanted to find experts in the field to help guide us through the remodel and process, just like the commercials advertise. Unfortunately, we got the vibe that there would not be much help here from our experience in the showroom. First impressions mean a lot. We will be doing our remodel, but we ended up finding other local contractors and businesses that presented themselves positively, communicate well, and seem genuinely excited at the idea of our business.
