my friend and i went to Hunter Woods Weber. I told her this pet store is very homey and part of the neighborhood. Because she's been going to PetSmart. Well, she was not treated with respect. for some reason the old female employee was condescending to my friend when she asked about the different brands of dog food. But when i came up to my friend, the old female employee then changed her expression and was being more helpful....but to me only. you know, I am a white female. My friend is a US born and grown Hispanic female. I have always loved Weber's even when this place was in Fox Mill on John Milton. and i do believe the same female employee was there as well. But after seeing this interaction from the old employee towards my friend, truly requires a WTF is this $h!7 .... i have to seriously rethink about going to Weber's . solidarity for my friend! read more

Well stocked, helpful people. No sales pressure. Self serve dog wash isn't fancy - but who needs posh tile work for the dog? The tubs were at the perfect height, supplies were plentiful and CLEAN. This place is so well arranged and supplied, that I cam in for the cheap dog wash and left with $100 of toys and supplies. read more

I've been here a few times and every time I go, the owners/staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Anytime I ask a question, they help me find what I'm looking for and truly love what they do. Originally I thought they were a much higher priced store, but not so at all. They do have high quality stuff, high quality food that, in some cases, is lower than I have seen anywhere -- including Amazon! I will likely start doing the majority of my dog shopping here because they have some things that I haven't found anywhere else, again, including Amazon! So I would recommend you check this place out. They also have a second location in Fairfax, but I've only been to this location in Herndon. They also have plenty of cat supplies, as well as other small animals -- rabbit and bird, maybe other small animals, but I only currently have a sweet dog and therefore that's who I'm shopping for. Just opened less than three weeks ago where All Around Art and Blockbuster used to be. They have a great selection of all natural/holistic, high quality dog/cat food and a small section for birds and small animals. There are three self-service dog washing stations available for $16 per dog (any size) that includes water, shampoo, conditioner, towels, high-velocity air dryer and a treat for your pet. You just need to bring your own brush. $10 of the $16 goes to a local pet charity that changes every month. Staff is friendly and helpful and seem to be knowledgeable. Pets are welcome and can have a treat from the doggie bowl at the register. read more

We love this family business! This location has a self wash that is so great! First off: CLEAN is the clincher. I've been to some self washes that seriously smell and have old towels and hard to reach tubs. This place has a separate area for each washer, and you can even keep your furry friend inside the space without a chance of running away, as long as you keep you door shut! They have a good selection of food, parking is easy, and they give you a discount if you work with a rescue! read more

Love, love, love this store! We recently moved to Reston from Sterling, and this store is right around the corner. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable, and they go the extra mile. Earlier this week, they were out of the brand of food we usually buy. They recommended a suitable, smaller bag of a substitute brand to tide us over until our brand was delivered, and they called me when our brand arrived! I was a Weber shopper before they opened this location, and now I shop there even more. Staff is eager to please and very knowledgeable. I go in for dog food and bird seed. The dog baths are great, expensive but for a good reason, almost 80% of the cost goes to donations for rescue groups. Tons of space, great blow dryer, and deep sinks. I wish they had a better bird section (wild) - better line of seed and products (feeders) but I understand this is not their forte. Also food is not cheap, but it is quality, so you pay for quality. read more

I would give four or five stars except for the hours. The store is only open 10-7 weekdays and 10-5 on Saturdays & closed on Sundays. They have lost a couple thousand in business from me over the past two years based on this alone. That said, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the products are top notch, and the prices are reasonable. They have self service dog wash stations for about 20 bucks that are very easy and convenient to use - and the staff is helpful about making sure you have what you need while using them. read more

Although I realize it is a pet store and there will probably be animals in there, this location has a on-site cat! Which immediately rendered my Zyrtec useless. We just happened to be in the area. I will continue to be a Wylie Wag person or go to the Weber's near my house. They also don't carry my puppy's food in a smaller bag which means that it may go stale before he gets a chance to eat it all :( read more

Score! They have a great selection of products, convenient location, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They even had a couple of little dogs and a cat hanging out. We went for the do-it-yourself dog wash, which was WAY better than Barkn' Bubbles (and much cheaper, too)! The three raised washing tubs are in individual stalls, so dogs don't have to be leashed. The best part is that $10 of the $16 price goes to local animal rescue organizations. We'll be doing all our pet shopping here from now on. read more

So glad to have Weber's in our neighborhood! The staff is welcoming and so helpful... and if they don't have what you're looking for they are happy to place a special order. As noted in a previous post, they also have do-it-yourself dog washing stations... FABULOUS! I just got back from washing my 75 pound German Shepherd and couldn't be a happier customer. The facilities are clean, a snap to use (they have a stool and "door" in the side of the tub so large dogs can hop in easily), they provide towels, a choice of shampoos and conditioners, an apron for the "washer", a dryer, and they take care of all the clean up! All you need is your dog and a brush. I hope they do well in this location and are here for years to come! read more

We don't use the self service anymore. The employees were pretty rude. I'd rather pay more and drive into Fairfax to go to Bark N Bubbles where the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. We still buy our dog food here because the price is the best we've been able to find but the selection of flavors can be pretty thin sometimes. read more

Very nice. Pet bath was great. Roomy, enough to breath. No hassle. Staff was way cool. Staff pets hang out and that is doubly cool. Fair price, convenient location. Asked to order a fleece collar and the staff immediately obliged. It's not Pet Smart...whew, good. This place has that 'small-town feel' where the staff seems at ease. My dog liked it here. She and I have a bond, and I know my dog's vibes really well. She was not anxious here, but she's anxious going into Pet Smart. read more

I can't speak more highly of this store, for cat and dog owners. My Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix had been sick from food issues, and by recommendation of my vet, after an evaluation, went there for suggestions. Not only did the owner of the store listen to my concerns, but recommended appropriate food and affordable options for my picky eater. The food did the trick, and he is happier and healthier than ever, not to mention his coat is even softer than before. (an unexpected positive) I had shopped here before, for treats, toys, and a de-shedding brush (recommended by a store associate), but now I will be exclusively doing all my dog shopping in the area here. Would be a 4.5 star, except for one problem. We were purchasing Fromm dog treats in bulk from a big bin, and they developed seed moths. When we asked about it, the person at Weber we talked to said they developed bugs because they were made from grain, and it was normal. It is not normal, and the moths most likely come from the store's bird seed. I contacted the manufacturer, who sent me a huge box of bulk treats - enough for a year, probably, if I hadn't give so many away. He invited me to just leave them in the box for months to see if they developed moths. There were no moths, no bugs. It *is* normal for seed moths to develop in bird seed, and difficult (impossible?) for pet stores to control. But if dog treats can't be protected from them, they shouldn't be sold in an open bin. We once bought cat grass from Pet Valu (in South Lakes, Reston), which developed bugs in the wrapping. PetValu was extremely apologetic. (PetValu has some great dog and cat food too, by the way.) Weber was dismissive. They do have some great products and some good staff. read more

I have been a patron of the Fairfax Weber's for many years, and still buy all my dog's food there. But needing a bath for my elderly sheltie, I went to the Herndon location and couldn't have been more pleased. The washing tubs are deep, and each has a removable panel and a step, which allows most if not all dogs to enter with needing to be lifted. There was a wide selection of shampoos, and a very user-friendly spray nozzle. Clean towels were provided (and the area itself was spotless), as was a professional-grade blow dryer. Staff were pleasant and friendly, and of the $16 cost, $10 goes to a rescue designated weekly. read more

Friendly, caring staff, great store with a wonderful dog washing facility! I like to groom my own dog, at least to bathe her between professional grooming and I can do it and avoid back ache by using their wonderful wash stations. It's a lot easier on her too, especially to wash her face (that's when it gets crazy at home) and to use the professional dryers. Much less stressful for her. I love Weber's and have bought dog food, treats, etc., there for many years (at the Chantilly location prior to the opening of the store in Herndon).
