If you are going to get meat and groceries, go into the livestock area, order what you are going to order, then go grocery shopping. While you are grocery shopping (tell them @ the livestock window that you are going into the grocery department)...they will butcher and cut your meat to however you request. When it's done, more time then not, they will bring your meat into the store for you. I recommend it, because if you spend an extended amount of time in the live stock area, you WILL leave smelling like....livestock. My husband and I originally went for the first time over the winter, and we spent the entire time in the live stock area. We had to wash our coats after. Get in and get out of the live stock area. If you are going for live stock, you go to the window, tell them what you want. They will pull and weigh. You cash out and wait for your meat. We originally went for the live, fresh chickens, quickly expanding our meat order. While I will admit, the people who butcher the animals, they have a definite language barrier. It is much easier to tell the gentlemen at the window what you want, and HOW you want it cut up. Better yet, write it down. Once you've been there once, you get the gist, and it goes much faster, just because you know what you are doing. Best chicken ever. It is a totally different experience from the frozen, hormone pumped chicken from the store. And FYI, their brown chicken (while generally no different in price), tastes better then the white. I can't explain it, that is just the way it works. And save the chicken part extras (backs, necks, and what not) for stock. My freezer is full of it. On any given day, they will have several types of animals to choose from. White Chicken Brown Chicken Roosters Guinea Hens Turkeys Several different type of ducks Goats Lambs Cows Rabbits Just remember to pick up good freezer bags, as they only put them in clear plastic bags. I prefer switching everything over to a better bag. We go every couple of months, only because we buy so much when we do go, my freezer is full of meat for a while. Definitely a good meat market. Prices are reasonable, just remember, you are buying the whole animal. They will ask you if you want the heads, and hearts, and what not. They don't do it to be gross, they do it because you paid for the entire animal. They are waiting for FDA approval to sell their livestock, that they butcher and package, in the grocery section. For the time being, the meat in the freezer case is brought in from NYC. All in all, it IS clean, and you can't smell anything outside the building, OR in the grocery section. Go take a look! Worth It.

Sat at the bar for drinks, the hostess had our table set up and told us we could be seated whenever we were ready. The atmosphere was much more laid back at lunchtime. Our waitress was great, told us the specials and gave us time to look at the menu. We all had drinks from the bar so she just filled our water glasses and brought bread with butter and dipping oil. A couple of us had the eggplant parm with linguine, it was the perfect size for lunch. Others had spaghetti & meatballs & cavatelli bolognese. Half of those were wrapped to go. The Christmas decorations were still up, always a plus! Will definitely be back at lunchtime.

I actually told my wife maybe we shouldn't even write reviews so we could keep it a secret, but it's just too good not to praise. We were greeted warmly and taken right to our reserved table. We really enjoyed that all the holiday decor was still up. As soon as we got to our table our waitress came by with waters and some friendly banter. She was attentive through the whole meal, with lots of recommendations. Even though we'd seen the menu online and were impressed, the specials of the day really caught our interest. My wife ordered the stuffed shells and I got the short rib gnocchi. The shells were good, but the gnocchi was otherworldly. It was one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time. We also had the arancini appetizer and the creme brûlée dessert both of which were solid. On one last note, the portions were quite large, so while it was a bit expensive for a lunch we also got dinner off the leftovers, and that made it feel like a much better deal. I can say with great certainty that we will be back here in the future, and it may even become of our go to places for special occasions.

A dear friend drove to Buffalo from NYC to volunteer at an event and after a long day volunteering,…read morethey were looking for a hearty meal and some good drink. Seeing as I'm a Yelp-er, they wanted me to find a spot I hadn't been to yet, even though I had eaten dinner already on my own. I had The Ridge West Seneca saved in my "Places to Try" collection so I said let's go. Overall, I cannot wait to go back and grab a meal here and try the food for myself! We arrive just before 8pm on a Saturday night to a large gravel parking lot that was pretty busy, but we still found a spot pretty easily. We walked in and the hostess was able to seat the two of us at a booth right away! Inside it was very spacious with plenty of TVs going, a bar on one side, music playing overhead. Indoor noise was elevated (it's a restaurant that has a bar, it's going to not be quiet haha) but the two of us could carry on a conversation fairly normally. Our waitress came over immediately to let us know she'd be a few minutes as there were a few other tables she was handling. Fine by us as that allowed my buddy ample time to look over the menu and figure out what he wanted. I saw the St. Patrick's Day-themed cocktail specials menu so I knew what I was ordering. Our waitress though - Absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, had great personality, and was really accommodating in splitting the check (I took care of all our drinks, my friend took care of his dinner). Our waitress did a great job checking in on us at the perfect time, we never felt pressured, rushed. I didn't order any food but my friend ordered their Steakhouse Strip off the "Large Plates" section of the menu, and boy oh boy, did that look amazing! The 12-ounce strip was cooked to a picture-perfect medium-rare with plenty of tobacco onions on top and around the plate, and served over a generous bed of mashed potatoes and asparagus, served with a small cup of their A1 aioli. After seeing that, I certainly want to come back and order food. My friend really enjoyed their meal, the plate was clean! As for me, I ordered two St. Patrick's Day -themed cocktails: "Sham Rocked Shake" and "Irish Good Bye". The "Sham Rocked Shake" was vanilla vodka, crème de menthe, cream, and chocolate syrup and curls - This was creamy, delicious, not overly minty. The "Irish Good Bye" was Three Chord bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and lemon juice with a lime wedge - There was so much flavor in this cocktail, the lemon juice added a pleasant fruity 'punch'. Looking at the prices for these cocktails, I felt they were in-line with most other places and they were made well so no complaints from me. The Ridge West Seneca really surprised me! I've driven past it a few times and wondered how good it was. From our friendly waitress and service, the delicious cocktails, to the fantastic-looking food, I am impressed. I'm looking forward to coming back soon for another night of drinks and to try some food!

Have been here several times before and this was the first time seated in the bar. The bar area is not as loud as the back room but still loud. Our server was attentive and there was too much food to take any pics. We started with coffee and cocktails followed with nachos and tots. I had coffee a mule some of the appetizers followed by the fried green tomato blt. There were also 2 different pizza's a burger, waffles, stuffed French toast, vegetable frittata, chicken and waffles, sou & salads and so much more. Most of the food was good, a few said it was just ok. If I come back I would definitely sit in the bar area or outside. The parking lot is very large so I've always been able to find a space. They also had to put a deposit to hold the reservation , I'm only to assume it was because it was a holiday.

The craziest part about it is that Winfield's Pub is literally just 10 minutes from my House. A conveniently small place that packs big Bold Flavors. Like as you are driving down Ridge Road towards the main Lackawanna area. A place that if you want to enjoy, you'd have to park in front of it or park on the Side Streets of the neighborhood across from it and walk over. After trying out their Food at a Stillwater Farm Dinner consisting or Birria Tacos and Sausage stuffed Chicken Breast. To me that was a nice welcoming Card telling me to come right away instead of wasting more time ignoring the Place. You walk up 3 Steps and in you are greeted by the Owner's wife Sherryl, the Owner and the Head of Winfield's (Tab Daulton) is running the show making sure food gets pumped out of their Small Kitchen. While their son Thomas is at the Bar making Cocktails of the highest Quality with some of the most unique names that I've ever heard. My 1st visit was enjoying a Birthday Dinner with loved ones in the center of the Restaurant. While going over the menu, I had my 1st Cocktail called The Ghostwriter in a tall cylindrical glass that had Gin, Herbal Liqueur, Coconut, Lime, Lemongrass Syrup & Dill. Sweet and Herbaceous. Next up was some Fresh made Focaccia Bread studded with Rosemary, Garlic, Tomatoes and Zucchini that was so Warm and Flavorful like it just came right out the Oven. You know I like to drink Beer and cook with it too, I couldn't help but get myself a cup of their Beer Cheese soup with Bratwurst and Housemade Croutons. Every single Spoonful I took was Rich with a hint of Spicy heat at the end. Next up was a plate off Duck Confit Poutine with Goat Cheese (I opted for that instead of Cheese Curds). You might look at it and see a big globby mess but what I saw and what I ate was pure Gluttonous Heaven. French Fries, bits of Rich and Tender Duck Meat and mild and Tangy Cheese which equaled a comforting Bite. Next was another Cocktail I got called the Dirty Harry (named after one of Clint Eastwood's best-known roles). Another drink that hit hard consisting of Pineapple, Doctor Bird Rum, Boomsa Herbal Liquor and Banana Shrub Jam. While waiting for my main course, I tried some of Nathan's BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Who doesn't like tender Pieces of Meat with the outside bring Crispy while the Meat inside just melts away on your Tongue. For our Entrees, everyone enjoyed something different like Nathan and Brianna having Seared Chicken with Vegetables, Mike enjoying a Burger, Rick just getting a few Appetizers, Grandma Carol eating Fish Tacos, Jimmy and Kathy enjoying a Steak. While I got myself Seared Scallops over Sweet Corn Risotto with Tarragon. This looked to me and ate like a Summer Dish, why on earth was it on the Menu during close to Fall/Winter, I don't know. But I'll say this, I loved every bite, you get Sweetness from both the Seafood and the Corn with the Tarragon at the end giving it a light hit of Licorice. Thomas kindly gave me a Complimentary Drink while waiting for Dessert called the Legislation #2. It had Rye Whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Orange Cognac and Acidic Phosphate. While it had all those Ingredients, it was a simple looking Drink with a Jurassic sized Ice Cube in it. But I will say this, this drink packed one heck of a Potent Punch. To finish off the Meal, I got myself a big slice of Guinness Chocolate Cake. One of my favorite Beers has been Transformed into a Dessert. It had such a Deep chocolate Flavor with richness from the frosting packed in between each layer. I walked over and personally thank Tab and his Crew for the great Food that night. The only issue we had was waiting to get our Checks, but other than that everything went great. Another one to cross off my list, another restaurant that I will no longer Ignore. Winfield's better be ready for some more Visits from me in the Future. !!!

It's more of a takeout style place, but there is seating along both of the storefront windows. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The service was great. We chose to eat at the restaurant and they brought our food out to us. I ordered the mixed rice bowl (chicken & steak) and my cousin got the chicken. It was sooo tasty and flavorful. The rice was a perfect texture and not bland. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The beef was good too, but I preferred the chicken. The sauces to go on top were all great... Garlic sauce, hot sauce and a salsa-y sauce. The garlic was my favorite. The portion size was good too; it was enough for me to have 2 and a 1/2 lunches. My cousin really enjoyed her bowl as well. We saved room for dessert because, after all, it is called eats and treats! My cousin got the Dubai strawberry cup, but I didn't end up getting anything; my heart was set on kunafa, but since they were short staffed that day, it was not ready yet. I am not a big fan of milk chocolate, but my cousin shared a few bites of her dessert with me and I did enjoy it. The kataifi gave it a nice crunch. I do plan to visit again. I might call first to see if they have kunafa though because it is quite a drive for me to get there... And I don't want my inner fat kid to be disappointed again.
