These burgers are HUGE. Like, "you don't even need a bun, just hand me a knife" huge. My mom and had way too much fun picking out all the different sausages to throw on the grill. After preparing, the kids and I created our own little meat tasting board, sampling all the sausages and burgers we picked up. And honestly? Everything was a hit. The owners are genuinely good people, too, which makes finding a great local spot even better. And come prepared to browse because it's not just fresh meat. Then I saw the delicious banana peppers (amongst other things) and bought both varieties of those and a few BBQ meatballs (all of these made in-house). I got home and threw the banana peppers in the oven immediately and warmed up the meatballs as a little appetizer while I waited (hey, I hadn't eaten all day and it was dinner time!). The meatballs were great ... they were mini and size but packed with flavor. Of the 2 banana pepper varieties I bought, me and my son both agreed the one with Italian sausage in it was our favorite! We absolutely cannot wait to have them again ... so much so that I had to call and make sure they are a regular option so I can grab them soon! The store itself is incredibly clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. The cuts of meat are beautiful. There's plenty of raw meat options, cooked items, fresh and frozen, individual or bulk, some salads, deli meats and cheese, a few other things. Oh, there's tons of unique hamburgers too in which they mix their ground beef with various ingredients for different flavors. Listen, I'm just here to tell anyone looking for seeded watermelons (because they're nowhere to be…read morefound in the area) that Niagara Produce has both seeded and unseeded watermelons! Why does this matter? Well, over 90% of the watermelons in our great country are now unseeded and I don't know about you but I care that my fruits and vegetables are not genetically modified and I eat the entire watermelon because health benefits matter. You can and should eat the seeds of the watermelon, they're super duper good for you! You can also eat the rind (yes, you can). Or just save some seeds and grow them yourself. Scary to think so many of our foods are now seedless, this madness has to stop! I could say so much more on the subject but I'll stop now and just add... Niagara Produce is a great place to shop for your grocery needs, they have a great selection of produce, meats and even cheeses if you're looking for charcuterie board goodies. Even though it may have been a little pricer, it was worth it as the owner was pleasent, and offered a wide variety of items ( over 40 different local small business products) ranging from gimourmet popcorn, hot sauce, honey, dips, and bbq sauce, buffalo themed products as well. Enjoyed conversation with this fellow small business owner, and thought it was wonderful and heartwarming he credited his success to his parents.
