It's always exciting for me to visit any Eastern European grocers, this one is one of my favorites. They have a great selection of candies, I like how you can buy many individual ones to try. If you are into coffee or hazelnut flavors like myself, this is the place. I was so happy to see that they had a variety of the polish soup packages. They have lots of different types of mushrooms for cooking, halva, kefir, kvass, mineral waters, and birch juice. They have a wide selection of teas, even some being aimed towards being medicinal. There is a big section of freezer items as well as refrigerated. If you're someone who likes doing a lot of your own cooking and baking and is looking for those Eastern European staples I'm sure they have you covered as there's a lot of items for making your own desserts etc. I didn't get a chance to try any of the deli foods but will definitely come back and give them a try!

I'll Slav what she's Slaving. Unless it's something Bazaar.

Nice place, did not have a chance to check out the lunch area, just the deli area. Good selection of Easter European and Russian food.

There's an aisle of sweets and an aisle of baking ingredients. Another aisle of non perishables, and drinks, and bulk candies as well. Even a pharmacy. Really a great variety and different items than what I've seen at other Eastern European stores in the area. Highly recommend!

They have one of the largest selections of Kvass that I've seen out of any of the Russian/Ukranian stores and all very reasonably priced. They also sell Kefir. As mentioned in the previous review, they also sell medicine/pharmacy that you'd typically find in Russian and Eastern Europe, so it's pretty unique to see it out here. Store clerk was friendly.

It's not a big space, but full of essentials. You can find all kinds of imported canned goods, pickled vegetables and mushrooms, drinks, condiments, spices, instant soups and desserts. The frozen section is full of 'pierogi'. The herrings are good, and the best Polish mayonnaise 'Kielecki' is also available from time to time. Sausages, cold cuts, pates, cheeses, smoked fish, grains, flours, teas, and lots of sweets including candies and bonbons are sold. Last time, I treated myself to a frozen dessert made with cottage cheese, peaches and mango. The first bite brought back memories and I'm sure it was a taste of my childhood. There are many products which make me feel so sentimental in a good way. Don't forget, it's an Eastern European store and the service seems to be authentic. Don't take anything personal. Take your time and enjoy browsing around. I'm sure your business is highly appreciated.

I know it could seem silly to write a review for one item but there's only one other review for this place so I'll just share my experience! It's pretty fun to come here and be the lost minority person walking around as it's located in a pretty diverse part of town and I only see Asians walking in and out. The people here are so kind in helping out though - it's really sweet. The kimchi at Wegman's is pretty pricy so I thought there has to be a cheaper way to get this stuff. I don't see any Koreans at Wegman's (usually) and I know they must be buying it somewhere, right? I came in here and asked if they had it. It's stored in one of the coolers on the back wall and you can get twice as much for the same price here. It's crazy that Wikipedia says there's hundreds of varieties of kimchi. Whatever variety they sell here at Lin is so delicious. I will sometimes just stand in my kitchen eating it out of the jar with a fork. Supposedly there are recipes to use it for? Maybe one day I'll get tired of eating it raw. Plus, fermented foods are so good for you. Like so good. I haven't really tried anything else here. It's predominantly Burmese and Thai food but they carry other Asian specialties like kimchi. The rice bags they sell are of Thai origin. They sell all kinds of Asian produce. Their little produce section has stuff I never see at big grocery stores. Come and check it out - like M J's review said, they are super nice and helpful here.

This assures that you're not buying things that have been sitting on the shelves for years and that the produce is as fresh as can be. I learnt that Ukrainian cuisine shares a lot of overlap with Polish cuisine. I enjoyed trying the cabbage rolls (Holubtsi), pickled vegetable dish, Salo (cured bacon) assortment of Ukrainian dumplings (Varenyky), borsch, and potato pancakes (Deruny). I also had their pork shashlyk and potato/egg plant dish. Though the pork was marinated very nicely, it was a bit too dry and tough for my liking. I think the quality of the food is good but the flavor profile was a little redundant for me, so this is probably more of a taste preference difference then. My impression was the whole menu was potatoes in every dumpling form, lots of dill, butter, sour cream, and cheese. Yes the actual dough was airy but a very heavy meal here that can leave those intolerant of oils and cheese to feel a little full. Good service and definitely a good group experience for those wishing to try new cuisine. Potato pancakes- similar to latkes- oily and decadent. Latkes are usually shredded potatoes and this was more potatoes dough. Still good. Nalysnyky- it was somewhat of a folded mini crepes with a savory stuffing that went with a chicken noodle soup. It was heavy on the dill which is why you have to be in the right mood to appreciate this dish. Varenyky- potato dumplings with lots of cheese. Usually good but definitely heavy on dill and a bit too cheesy for me. Would not get if you're sensitive to oil. Would recommend for those looking for new experiences, caution on taste profile which is more acquired taste but still good.
