After 3 visits, this is my favorite restaurant/bar in the Berkeley Springs area. The food is well prepared and reasonably priced. Don't go looking for the fancy stuff here. The menu is simple, and that's how I like it. No drafts, all bottles, no problem if you like regular beers. The pool tables seem to get a lot of use. They have slot machines in a cordoned off room if that's your thing. I look forward to my next visit. The $19.99 steaks on Fridays are AWESOME!

If you are fairly young, fairly new to Chambersburg and wanting to have a resemblance of nightlife…read moreatmosphere - then Dara & Jack's is the pace to visit. I actually ran into the owner in the grocery store when we first moved here (I complimented her on her dress) and we started talking. She invited my husband and I to her bar, touting it as the only one in town and really chatting up the d.j. for "reggae night". Starved for some fun - we decided to go. Last night I visited for the second time. I say "I" and not "we" because my husband has been a few times after work with friends. Anywho, let's start with drinks, they are cheap and generous (double shot was a shot). Now, don't go up in there asking for a cosmopolitan (I did that, got a blank stare). But a beer and a shot of Hennessey together was less than $10. My husband only drinks cognac neat and we pay upwards of 8 to 15 a shot where we're from. The music was a steady stream of 80's and 90's hip hop which we love. There are 2 pool tables in the back and the chicken wings and fries that kept whizzing past us looked and smelled like good bar good. Hubby consigned on the tastiness of the chicken from past experience. Overall, it was a cool spot to hit for a drink because we weren't ready to go home. Chambersburg offers very little "night life". Be prepared to pay a $5 cover and be patted down hood style at the door.
