They helped me figure out exactly what to order from eTrailer, even pulling the install manuals and flagging issues for me. On the day of install, they did the work while I waited. Afterward, the mechanic put the SUV on the lift so he could show me how to take the hitches on & off, where the key lock was, and demonstrated all the light wiring worked. Do not come here stay away! Disclaimer this business owner is a racist! I went in to get a smog on my car. I sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes. I can hear the owner talking in the back, I can hear him complaining about how minorities have brought his neighborhood to sh*t. They proudly have Trump stickers on display! After waiting for over 25 minutes now I got up and walked up to the counter and tell them I need help can someone assist me?. The owner comes out and very rudely tells me to just sit and wait a few minutes. I tell him I been waiting out here for over 20 minutes already and no one has helped me. I brought my car in for new tires. The shock and struts were in dire need of replacing. My car is an older Honda Accord that has had some years of very heavy driving. If AAA tries to refer you to this place. Don't waste your time here. This shop is an Unfair priced Joke. I only came here because I needed my Ram truck fixed immediately and AAA referred me here, if I would've known I would not have wasted my time. The prices are ridiculously unfair and the techs don't know what they're doing. My experience at this mechanic shop was horrible, I was attended by attendant Andy, after the tow truck and myself left my truck with them, they were so nice in the beginning, Then next day I received a call from attendant Andy stating the problem is the harmonic balancer problem, and they have to do a full diagnosis in order for them to continue and they have to take my truck apart from the bottom. And the charge of the diagnosis was $592. With the price I was like ouch, and but since I need my truck and the truck is already there getting worked on I had no choice but to continue. Then next day Andy calls me back with 2 prices, and 2 unfair prices.. one was $1600 for the harmonic balancer and to replace all my bottom part with new parts and the other was $1024 with the harmonic balancer and keep the same parts. And also said their was the 10% discount for AAA customers and the $50 off diagnosis price. But AAA had said they we're going to give me a 50% discount. But with the final price I didn't even get no discount at all... the final price was $988.. and I asked for the discount and Andy tells me it's on there already, but the silly part is that 10% of $1024 is $102.40... Don't these people know their math, Do they not know how to use a calculator.. I mean the prices here are worst than a luxury car dealership. These people here just want your money for a poorly job done. I highly do NOT recommend this place to nobody, because here's the worst part after they called me my truck is ready. So I go pick up my truck, and I paid. I leave with my truck, When I was driving it, the torque is so weak and the speed is so slow and truck feels all heavy.. I was like what the hell did they do. All I wanted was for them to get my truck running and my harmonic balancer fixed, and the harmonic balancer has nothing to do with the camshaft timing so I don't know why are they sticking their hands In where it doesn't belong. So then I call Andy and tell explain and he tells me to bring the truck back if there's anything wrong. On top of that they don't open weekends, like what do they expect that the customer can only come when the attendants in the shop feel like it, like if we don't have a daily job. They expect you to miss a day of work to take them back your vehicle for a job that was suppose to be done right from the beginning instead here you are a customer with a poorly job done that you paid a lot of money for that needed to be done well from the beginning.. After I took my truck back to them to double check.. The attendant explained to me the same thing over and over again about the check engine codes that were already on and that my truck has other problems as well which I already knew but the new check engine code the sensor started reading after they worked on my truck was a P0016. Which is causing my truck to lose strength, speed, torque and it's not safe to be driving this way even after they still Charged me $988 for the repairs, and to leave my truck even worst than I brought it in... And after I left my truck with them to double check and the attendant Andy called me back to tell me what's going on he tells me the samething all over again about the same code, and wants me to pay another diagnosis fee of $125 for them to look at it again and start the work all over again, so what let me guess another $900 again.. I just said "I'm going to go pick up my truck and no longer take it there ever again nor give them my business any longer. They stick their hands where it doesn't belong to mess with something else In Your vehicle so they can bend you over for another diagnosis fee and another repair bill... With their unfair prices and poorly experienced techs I Do not recommend anyone to take your vehicle to Webb's. I called AAA and put in a complaint about Webb's and told them they should stop referring their customers to Webb's because they don't care about the customer's vehicle, they only care about their money. I went to another shop to get 2nd opinion and told me that they bent me over big time just for a harmonic balancer, they totally rip me off, now I'm down $988 for a job not well done. Once I received my 2nd opinion I called the attendant back to tell him the problem and tells me they did not Touch my Timing Chain. I mean come on, you guys took my truck apart and now my time chain is skipping teeth, like Dude really?? Liars!! because I paid $988 for a job well done. Instead they leave my truck even worst. I love dealing with car dealerships - the overpriced mark ups, pushy attitudes, and the seemingly consistent incompetence. After laughing hysterically at the guy at the dealership telling me a cracked belt would cost over $500, I called up a number of shops to get quotes on the repair. Webb's was quick to give a quote within a few minutes on the phone, which was very competitive, including labor & parts. The day I arrived, the repairs were done within 30 minutes of pulling into the shop. We went over the phone quote versus in shop estimate and even though the costs for the parts were a little higher than what I was told, they still honored their price that I told them that they quoted over the phone a few days before. Not a bad deal at all, considering I was willing to pay the extra cash for the parts that were specific to my car. No BS, just straight to the point service - a definite recommend for auto repairs. Also, the shop itself is a small one, almost hidden on Atlantic. You need to enter from the rear, via the side street that crosses Atlantic. read more

I can hardly begin with how bad the service was. AAA towed my car there. They said it would be 2 hours to look at it. I had to keep calling them because they never called me back. Finally 5 mins before they closed they told me my oil pan was broken beyond repair and would have to be replaced. I offered to bring a part to them, and they said they could buy everything else needed from the dealer (some special o-rings that I told them it needed). I told them I would bring them the part at 8:30, and they assured me they would take care of it and get me back on the road by noon. Next day... more disaster. I bring them the part at 8:30 and they say they have what they need. An hour later, they call to tell me they could not get the special o-ring from the dealer. I call the dealer and they said they will sell it to me, so I drive out and back to get the parts. Now they are ready to work on the replacement, and they provide me with an estimate for labor that is MORE than the dealer was going to charge!! They said it would take 4 hours (@$$$$/hour) which is twice the time quoted by an alternate specialty shop. And to boot, they say they can't get started on it for another 2 hours, but they think they can probably get it done by the end of the day. I say no way jose. I took my car elsewhere and couldn't be happier! Tow truck driver saw the state and confirmed that I made a good choice. As I was getting ready to leave, they tell me that the car was taken off the rack but not put back together. So they hand me a dirty, oily pastic part and some screws and say they think that is everything but the guy that took it apart is out to lunch. Overall I was displeased. I didn't really deal with the mechanics, just the receptionist, but do not waste your time with him. The receptionist is super chipper, but he has no idea what he is talking about. I would not trust him. Go elsewhere and save your money!!! read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR SMOG CHECK Failed a car & charged for it!! If you have aftermarket equipment even if it's legal they will fail you WITH OUT prior notice! Pros: open early even though they take their time to get to you. I waited over an hour while the "inspector" was on the phone! Cons: questionable business practice in charging for an inspection without the car owner ever involved in any potential issues during inspection & no up front pricing for the "inspection" What should have happened is once the smog inspector raised a possible issue the inspection should have stopped & owner should have been involved to either continue or explain to inspectors any raised issues and allow the customer to decide wether to continue or hault the inspection and NOT BE CHARGED! Failing to involve the owner is a "strong arm" tactic & horrible business practice to follow. I hope they learn from this review & change their practice for the sake of other customers that can't afford to have a car fail without prior notice upon start or during inspection ( like majority of shops will do) read more

I called early one morning to inquiy about getting my car smogged, the guy didnt seem friendly nor interested in answeing my questions he finally 60.50 to pass , $52 on fail they can repair. I called in later the same day to ask about an appointment and I told them I wanted him to check a sensor, he lectured me and said i would have to pay a diagnostic fee and i told him i only wanted to change the sensor, to do it that way and eventhally said he was too busy to take my car in for an appointment because they are to busy in the summer. So i went to this awesome shop that was worth the drive it's called Smog Plus in Inglewood that also smogs and repair if needed and they charge only 44.50 and they are very nice people and don't cheat or scam like some other shops i've been to read more

Don't waste your time coming here I was referred here by Triple A and had the worst experience in a mechanic shop because not only were they attempting to try and hustle me because little did they know I know enough about cars and parts but they were RUDE and really try to get the most out of someone the prices are unfair and over priced I was charged for an Inspection over 100$ and they only pointed out the obvious which was really no help and to top it off they didn't even fully finish my inspection these guys were charging me about 800$ for a job that I ended up being able to fix for 150$ how funny is that, yeah the irony I know. read more

Husband brought our xterra in due to exhaust coming into the car cabin. They were able to determine it required a change in a gasket. A few days later the exhaust issue returned. This time it was diagnosed that the air filter in the car was filthy and that was possibly the issue. 2 weeks later, my brakes go out. I took it to another AAA recommended shop closer to home. They diagnosed a cracked catalytic converter $1,300! Now I wonder who is telling the truth? And if this nearly $200 gasket job did not fix it, why they did not identify it? Huh. I noticed I had a large nail stuck in one of my rear tires after arriving to work one day. I needed to go to an auto shop STAT, so I randomly came across Webb's as I was searching for auto shops near my work. I went in during my lunch break. The mechanic working there took a look at the problem, I filled out a form, and VOILA-- my tire was patched up and good as new. The whole process took about 30 mins, tops. The price was standard for a simple patch-up; however, the owner(?) gave me a discount! Awesome~ Granted, he did so because he wanted me to write a review for his shop, which I have no problem doing so since their service was great. I would definitely come here again! read more

Honest and genuine. Warning lights came in while drive in the 5fwy. Pulled off to the nearest service center. I knew the coolant was low and they were happy to look at it for a reasonable price. The water pump was bad and it is an expensive repair. I was curious if it was still under warranty, they offered to call the dealer and find out. Several months ago I came here to get my timing belt replaced. My car needed it badly and my brother recommended this place to me. My brother has had his car serviced here before and has noticed that they are really honest and professional. My brother is very, very picky so I knew that this place would be the right one. My car runs well and I have had no issues with the timing belt. The guys here told me that they could use Honda parts or economy parts and gave me an idea of what it would cost. I chose the economy parts and I have had no problems at all. I was pleased when they told me the cost would be a little more than $800 for a complete timing belt replacement job since it would have costed me a bit more than $200 at a Honda dealer. My fiance and I went to Disneyland for the weekend, and while driving back to the SF Bay Area, our car tire hit an object in the road. It went flat, and we were stuck in the middle of the 5!!! Luckily, we were towed to Webb's Auto. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have the parts on hand, but they were able to order them from a distributor. It was 10 dollars more than the cheapest smog check station I found , but they seemed honest and thorough . I didn't like that every time someone came in or called they had to put my trucks progress on hold, but I did like that they gave my daughter a teddy bear they had left over from Christmas . I've never felt compelled to review a car repair place but this place has changed my view on this unwanted chore in general. I didn't pick this place as much as AAA did. My car farted out after hours and this place had an after hours drop box so it was the best place to tow it to at the time. It started off on a sour note because my fat key wouldn't fit in the lock box so I had to go back in the morning to drop it off but they more than made up for that slight inconvenience. They took a quick look at my car in the morning and called to let me know that it was more than likely covered by warranty and they could fix it but I should definitely look into that option first. I feel they went above and beyond for me, a first time customer who was probably more hassle than the diagnosis fee was worth. They tutored me on how to look up my warranty, what to do and even offered to tell me my vin and mileage so I'd have it in front of me when I dealt with my car company. They always answered the phone quickly and had answers ready. I ended up taking it to the dealer and it was in fact under warranty and my car is ready to be picked up! They made a very stressful situation easier to deal with and now I know where I'll be taking my car in the future. I thank my lucky stars I was pointed in the right direction that lead me to them! read more

Not very happy with Webb's. I went in for a Smog inspection after researching several different AAA approved places. My out-of-state car passed and I received what I thought was the proper paperwork. Waited 2 hours at the AAA only to find out I was never given a certification number on the sheet! After calling several times, they told me to bring the car back. I got the right paper and a generic "sorry for the inconvenience". Honest mistake but the customer service wasn't great and now I have to go back to AAA to wait for who knows how long this time. Check your smog inspection reports, people! $60 for 2 trips to Webb's and 2 trips to AAA. read more

Never had any work done at Webb's -- so why the 5-star review? Because, when we were broken down in LA, we called numerous AAA-approved auto repair shops within a five-to-ten mile radius of where the breakdown occurred. No other AAA-approved shop even came close to the courtesy and professionalism offered by Rob at Webb's. He asked all the pertinent questions referring to the problem as I described it, took the time to get the details specific to the car in question, and ended up quoting the best price of all the shops I had contacted, undercutting the lowest quoted charge by a good hundred dollars. And, unlike the other shops, I got the sense that Rob was *actually calculating* a closer-than-ballpark price, instead of just pulling figures out of...well, the place where some mechanics seem to get their quotes. All this, while presenting a welcoming, friendly attitude that made we want to give this shop our business. Thankfully, it turned out that the diagnosis I was providing was incorrect. The anticipated major breakdown was--surprise!--nothing more than a blown fuse. Ha! And that's why we didn't end up taking the car into the shop. (Our bad misdiagnosis!) However, I've already told Webb's that, if I ever am broken down in that neck of the woods, I'm calling their shop for assistance! If you're looking for a mechanic in this area, I strongly recommend calling Webb's. They've been in business for 62 years, and Rob is the fourth generation serving the community. I had a few problems with my Mini Cooper and I initially took my car into the Mini Cooper dealership which was going to cost me both arms and a both legs for them to work on my car. I don't know anything about cars and I just felt like I was getting taken advantaged of. I was referred to Webb's and the person who helped me was Joey, he was very helpful. He took his time and explained to me in simple human talk what my car needed to get fixed. He looked up all the parts that were needed and told me a quote on how much labor and everything would cost, did the break down and it was a lot lower than what I expected it to be, which was great! He told me that it would take a max of three hours, good thing Webb's was close to the citadel shopping outlets so it worked out perfectly and his timing was accurate! Which sometimes is very hard to come by, some shops will tell you an hour and they keep your car for the whole day! Which I hate!! Joey, seems very trustworthy and honest, and that's what I was looking for in a shop. I would highly recommend Webb's for any car problems you have. read more
