My last few visits have been extremely disappointing. The fake smiles & insincere rebuttals are extremely annoying. Ace advertisement seemed to have been a rare sighting when the price was wrong . 15 minutes later its confirmation was completed by manager WHO WAS ANNOYED!! Today making three keys required extraordinary patience. Paying extra for better service is a customers choice. Paying more and getting less is idiotic. Weaver's has passed the point of no return. I won't be shopping here moving ahead . The value is lost , service is lacking , inventory is scarce. Maybe if your Amish and you travel by buggy this is the only game in town. The rest of us should drive by Weaver's. Extremely disappointed in how this place slipped. Good luck Ace , You need it . read more

Really nice country hardware store. Being out there in the midst of farms you can find almost everything you need and then some. Seasonal items like the Christmas and Thanksgiving stuff are reasonably priced. If you garden come here in the spring or summer for anything you need. They have a number of hard to find seeds and plants. read more

Yeah, just the BEST staff at ANY hardware store! Glenn and Jake in the plumbing department know their stuff and the folks at the front counter are so personable and friendly and helpful. The paint department lady I deal with there on occasion really knows Her paints, so much so I have to act like I know what She is talking about, but that is a good thing. Today , AGAIN , like for nearly 30 years now , we go to find Glenn in plumbing with a MAJOR plumbing "reenactment" that has fallen apart in Our old house that He has on so many occasions set Us up and fixed Us up with every piece needed BAM BAM. But today, Glenn was not there, and although I know Jake, have seen Him there, was hesitant to even ask for help with this menagerie we brought in. In 10 minutes , we had pieces in hand, headed out the door and ready to roll. Although I had to return for a piece I forgot later and may have to return a faulty pump we got 3 days ago, which is not fault of Weaver's and I have NO DOUBT will not be a problem, the piping He sold Us was up and ready to be tested in about an hour. This is the place folks, if only the wood prices were cheaper I would never bother to hit the big stores at all. Kudos to all. Keep up the good work. read more

Weaver's is my local hardware store and I remember going here when I was a kid before it burned down in 1996 and was rebuilt. I go here to get keys cut and to buy things for small household projects, like caulk and pipe fittings. They sell Simple Green cleanser by the gallon and a full line of canning supplies. They also have a great selection of paint and are a Yankee Candle authorized retailer, which is hilarious since it's a hardware store, but also great since I can get a last minute gift here. Some items are priced more than other stores. The thing is, do you want to drive to reading to buy pipe insulation to save $12 or do you just want to get it from a local place and skip the traffic? If you are buying a lot of stuff maybe price shop, but if you are rushing to the store in the middle of a project that has gotten away from you they have most anything you would need. Another tip- you can drop off UPS packages here and send faxes for a small fee. The one disappointment is that I can't find kitchen aid mixer attachments here anymore, but I still come here for seeds, water softener crystals and propane refills. The best thing about Weaver's is the staff. They are helpful and knowledgeable, but they aren't too clingy and never up-sell you. There are just people kind of hanging around that you can flag down if you can't find the mineral oil or need help getting 50 lbs of birdseed to your car. read more

Previously, I liked patronizing this store because I could always get what I was looking for; at a much closer location than traveling to larger towns. However, today I had enough. These folks are taking the Corona virus issue too far. I felt like I was entering a maximum security prison. I got poor customer service, apparently my cell phone harbors the CORONA VIRUS! (I had just tried to show two clerks a picture of what I needed). They didn't want to be bothered, and looked at me and the phone in fear. I believe it is time these folks woke up and feared their government and untruthful media; not a virus. Unpleasant experience! read more

As a local community member who visits this store often, not only is their service excellent, it isn't unusual for several sales associates to approach me to ask if they can help find what I'm looking for. The prices may be slightly higher in some areas but not every business can compete against corporate America. You will not get the Ace Hardware type of service in major retail establishments. Often the lines are long in the major stores and there is only one cashier. I cannot find anyone on the floor to help find products and if I find someone they have no knowledge of the item. I'm happy with, and appreciate, the local hardware store. Additionally, this business supports the local community in various generous ways. I give them a five star rating. I'm not trying to promote business, rather I hope this boosts the morale of the employees. I think they are working hard to do a good job for us and deserve a pat on the back from time to time. I spoke with Bob from Weaver's about servicing my traeger smoker / grill. Bob walked me through changing some major parts on my grill and with his expert support I was able to get my traeger working like brand new. I would highly recommend traeger pellet grills because the company stands by their products and it is important to buy your unit from a place that can support your meat smoking habit and not a big box store. read more

This place is way over priced. I went for propane for my grill and almost crapped my pants at price they wanted to charge me. I drove the extra five minutes into Topton and saved 10 bucks. The store itself is awesome if your just window shopping. They got tons of stuff toys, hardware, bird houses, shoe department to much to list. As a kid I remember it being more old fashion stuff. Lots Mennonite things pots, pans, hats, clothing, old fashion tools.. Now it getting more like Home Depot and less like a Country Store. NEW ENTRY. 2nd visit I was looking for a water tank gauge and safety valve. they had them both I didn't check prices anywhere else.. 20 bucks for both of them didn't seem too overpriced... I asked a couple guys working some questions and they seemed knowledgeable. Going to up my stars from 1 to 3. Nice job. read more

Weavers is an enhanced version of an old general store. They have a little bit of everything and more than enough of several categories. Where it really shines is hardware. Nuts and bolts and things that allow you to fix other things rather than throw them in a landfill. Broken screen door? This is something that can last forever with some maintenance. Plumbing needs, lawn and garden, paint, tools, and some eclectic items that have roots in the PA German community. This store is a great local resource. On the down side, it has lost a bit of its competitive edge. It has become just downright expensive for some items including onesy and twozy nuts and bolts. Nonetheless, I much prefer buying fasteners, etc. this way as opposed to blister packs of 4, 6 or 10. For a few items, it is THE most expensive place to buy ( most recently wood pellets by the ton) refusing to match competitor's prices on the same item. I can usually deal with a few dollars difference for loyalty sake, but $30.- $50.00 above is more than loyalty can cover. It's all good. Fortunately, I live only a few miles further from competitor Kuzanns and I'll make that drive to save $50.00. It is also an ACE hardware branded store and ACE products often come close but not as close as one would like. They carry some trusted brands including a full line of Stihl chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers but expect to pay full manufacturer's recommended price most of the time. Weavers is a dealer for Stihl but they often opt out of Stihl's advertised sales despite being included in Stihl's newspaper ads. If you don't want to trek to an Allentown/Reading big box store for a bird feeder, some rock salt, or a barbecue grille, you can find it at Weavers along with a large assortment of household products, tools, domestic maintenance items and plumbing needs. The garden tool section is none too shabby and although I loathe chemical solutions, there is an ample selection of organic and semi organic choices for fertilizer and pest control. That alone is worth an A-ok rating. The fact that the selection for so many products here is large and eclectic makes Weavers a local treasure. Be prepared to spend what little you would have saved in gas on higher prices for certain items, but there is so much to like about this place, it is hard to do anything but add and extra star for uniqueness and appreciation. read more

Great as far as variety of things for a small hardware store. Noticed customer service declining the past couple of times I've been there. Some employees are great but others you can tell are just there to collect a paycheck. They aren't really interested in helping you. I like shopping small business but not if they keep making me feel like I'm inconveniencing them by shopping there. read more

Weavers is a great hardware store. Prices are 30% higher than anywhere else, but it's convenient. Way over board on the COVID 19 stuff though. I went to get a patio umbrella and the tall man at the command center(haha) told me that wasn't a priority for him. You aren't a doctor treating patients, you sell grass seed dude. Relax. Management needs to do some customer service surveillance. You got a couple of miserable employees that need to go. I'm willing to pay more for the convenience but not if you act like a jerk. Listen to the customer, be nice, and help them find what they are looking for. Leave your attitude at home. Pretty simple! read more

Weaver's is a good hardware store -- a pretty typical Ace Hardware with a few extras, like a small "country" like gift area in the front -- and it is large, with a large selection. But it's lost all of its charm and individuality over the years. It used to cater more to the old-order Mennonites in the area with bonnets and men's hats, oil burning lamps, more canning things, etc., and I always knew I could find kitchen gadgets my grandmother used that are still pretty darn useful there! Yes they may cost a bit more than say your box hardware store but you get what you pay for here. Very knowledgable staff and the products you are looking for. With gas being so expensive it's worth paying a few bucks more for quality. I've gone in there looking for something as small as a screw and they know exactly what will work best and where to find it. The staff is always there to lend a hand and a smile on their face! Just discovered you can ship your UPS packages there and they sell chicks (to grow into full chickens.) Bonus!! read more

Purchased over $1000 of patio furniture and had a part fail on two of the chairs. Totally unwilling to help with a solution. Went home and found a solution online in 5 minutes. Very disappointed they did not stand behind a product they sold. read more

My husband loves this store in the entire 24 years that we have lived in Blandon, PA; however my feelings are quite different. Not sure why; however every time I go with my husband (only 7 times in the entire 24 years we lived here) we are always, and I mean always overcharged for one or more products, or charged twice for something we bought. Today, March 17, 2018 around 12:30 p.m., we were charged twice, AGAIN, for something. We purchased fertilizer 4 step program, bird seed, bird suet, etc. and we paid for 4 pairs of gloves when we only purchased 2 pair of gloves. Honestly, I don't even want to go to this store, and I try to avoid them at all costs, however my husband and I were running errands today and I had no choice. I realize the price of 2 extra pair of gloves only equates to approximately $5.00; however, what if they are doing this with everyone. That's a lot of extra income they are receiving, not to mention their inventory is not accurate (Oh yeah, I am also an accountant). So, needless to say, I will not be going to this store anytime soon. read more

Absolutely SUPER personnel on board at Weavers Ace Hardware! I had an issue with the Propane Gas Heater I purchased from Ace, and had no clue how to repair it. An employee of Ace, by the name of Jake, came out today and fixed the stove. Brain damage on my end, as it was nothing more than the replacement of a battery, but Jake was on it, understood the equipment they sell and was Johnny on the spot! Once again, these folks can be counted on, dedicated, mission oriented and I'm glad to have them! read more

Have been shopping at Weaver's for over 20 years. Friendliest staff around. Always willing to answer questions. They really do have the general store atmosphere and a huge selection of items. I always go here for my mulch. It is impossible for them to compete price-wise with the big box stores but they come pretty darn close. read more
