I met with Charles back in September to give us a quote to reface my parents' kitchen cabinets. Charles made a long trip to meet with us and spent over an hour going through every detail and every option available to make the project easy and affordable. I was blown away at the time and detail and follow-through! He even brought samples of a refaced cabinet and I thought the quality was perfect for the project. We felt comfortable with Charles and trusted that the end-result would be amazing. However, due to an unexpected financial expense, we were unable to proceed with the project at that time. Read the fine print. In 2021, I had my entire kitchen cabinets refaced along with new doors & some of the draws. I chose Kitchen Magic because the warranty is a big deal for me. Since said time, I've had 1 cabinet door exchanged & the other was to put heat shields under the doors by my stove. It was done for free because the Rep intervened. Now that same door that was replaced is hanging from the hinges. Per their service dept. "It's an easy fix, 1 hour at $250." It is alleged that the so called warranty is only for the parts, not labor. Horrible company read more

This is now April 20 25. Kitchen Magic started my kitchen in August 2024. They are still not done re-caulking and refacing what the original installers didn't do correctly. Then they came up about a couple months later and said the caulking would fix the splits in the re facing mayerial. Even I knew that was wrong, but this is what they kinda get over on customers with. Then you get fluffy emails from the owner. No Cindy, your contractors, your refacers , and your customer service people all need replacement. There's no communication. It takes weeks for them just to send you caulk for them to use. Then it takes weeks for them to send the person to fix their mistakes. There is no communication and when you speak with these folks, they try to make it seem like it's all the customer's fault. No responsibility at all. Stay away from this business. 20 grand for eight months worth of headaches, lies, delays delays delays, and no communication. No stars no stars no stars -10 stars. read more

Indeed, everything was done professionally: cabinet refinishing, carpentry work, plumbing, drawer installation, quartz countertops, tile back splash. They were very responsive to requests, timing and even a minor follow-up. Kitchen Magic did a cabinet reface in my kitchen in Sept 2020. In June 2022 they did a backsplash and new counter install. Around Nov-Dec of 2022 I noticed the grout where counter meets backsplash chipping and cracking along entire perimeter. After talking to this company at the Rockland County Home Show a few weeks ago we left our contact information. A day or so later my wife was called to set up an appt and to give them some basic info on what we were attempting to do. The appt was then set for noon on 3/7/2020. In the week prior to the appt both her and I received a total of at least 5 calls to confirm the meeting and to make sure that both "Decision Makers" were going to be home. We also each received a separate call to ask what we wanted to do, number of cabinets, total length of counter-tops and were we planning on changing the floor. My wife also received at least 2 e-mails conforming our 12:00 appt. Very annoying. At 11:45 I received a call from Mark to inform me that the sales rep was running late and would be there at sometime between 2:30 and 3PM. This is after we sat around all morning waiting for him at the scheduled time. When I said that would not work, he wanted to set a new appt. for a different day. I told him at that point that I would not want to do business with a company that operates like this, and his reply was that we could get a discount. Not a chance Kitchen Magic! If this is how they treat prospective customers, I can only shutter to think how they must act during the construction process and if after the installation issues come up, how they would be handled. Let me start off by saying that our sales rep was excellent and tried her best to make this work. Unfortunately, the rest of our Kitchen Magic experience was a nightmare. 1- They don't prepare you for the mess that they are going to make. My house was full of dust so much so that I ended up having to take my son to the doctor because he had an asthma attack. The thin piece of plastic they placed on the doorways did nothing to protect the rest of the house. 2- The original vinyl they put on one of the cabinets was scratched and not placed properly. It took them 3 different tries to get it right. 3- When they were done with floors they left gaps in between the flooring and the moldings that we had. They wanted to cover the gap with pieces of vinyl. Hello, do they not know that once you clean the floors (which I do very often) that the vinyl will begin to strip?!?!? 4- We had so many people coming in and out of our house. One to move the appliances; 3 different people to fix the vinyl; one guy to do the flooring and tiles; another to finish the boarders and put back the appliances; not to mention the 2 different inspectors that came in to address our complaints. 5- The project manager who was assigned to us rarely communicated with us. And based on what the contractors told us, there was very little communication between them and the project manager. 6- They took too long to finish my kitchen. They started on our kitchen on October 16th. It is now November 20th and they just finished. One of the owners has reach out to me but I honestly don't care at this point. Too much time has passed and I am extremely frustrated. Yes it is true that the cabinets are covered by their warranty but hopefully, the vinyl on the cabinets last so i don't have to deal with them ever again. I hope this review helps not only those looking to redo their kitchens but also Kitchen Magic. If you are looking to stay in business you need to rethink how you handle your customers and get new contractors for goodness sake! read more

I'd give them zero stars if I was able to. Of all the contractors we used for our home remodeling, Kitchen Magic was by far the worst. Terrible customer service, nobody answers the phone, calls and emails are never returned and we waited five months after the cabinet refacing was done for an issue to be resolved until we finally had another contractor fix it for us (four months and three emails before we even got a response from Kitchen Magic). The technician who came out to fix the chips in the refacing was incredibly rude and obnoxious. He was angry that I had him come in via the garage because it was a rainy day, he never put down the cardboard that was delivered with the supplies the previous day to protect the floor (he claimed it was too hard to vacuum over cardboard), never introduced himself, he was short and snappy when I showed him the work to be done, set his work area up in front of the pet food dishes and basement door, slammed the basement door in front of me when it was in his way, set his tools directly on our brand new hardwood floor and Corian countertops and told me it was okay, that he didn't hurt anything. And actually argued with me about that. When he was finished and I inspected his work, I found two areas that weren't fixed even though I pointed them out to him when he arrived at the house. It was a terrible experience and the only thing I'm happy about is that they're out of the house and I never have to see them again. read more

After just a few short months we have notice numerous problems with the kitchen. Immediately we noticed the our drawers, which out stacked three drawers high, scrap against each other when opened. Kitchen magic "fixed" this problem but now all the drawers are angled which was their "only solution". Now the cheap lamination, which they claim not to use, is peeling off! read more

At 12:05 PM I called to find out where they were , after being placed on hold i was told that their representatives prior appointment was running late and that I should just wait around, I asked how long and they told me they did not know. Horrible experience, no courtesy call to let me know they were running late, not even able to tell me how much longer I should wait around which should've been easy if they were to call their rep back and ask how much longer he will be at his prior appointment. read more

Kitchen Magic did our kitchen in two stages over three years and we are very pleased to say that we are delighted with the results. From the beginning to the end the process was open and fair. Starting with the knowledgeable sales person and proceeding through the technical measuring appointment, installation, follow up, and subsequent service we were made to feel comfortable with the project - on both occasions. We felt our business was valued and our home was respected by every representative that came through our door. We refaced our kitchen and did our countertop at a later time. We had another urgent household expense and had to put the countertop off for what we thought would be six months that stretched into three years. Kitchen Magic assured us the job could be sectioned out with no consequences and even exceeded our expectations by offering us just over the initial price they quoted three years prior to complete the quartz countertop and back splash. We required service on two occasions and received prompt attention and the repairs were made with no charge on one occasion and little charge on the the other since it was our decision to change something after the job was completed. Five stars well earned and a pleasure to do business with. We have referred Kitchen Magic to friends and family without hesitation and will continue to do so. Unless you have over 12 feet of cabinets this company will not help you! Translate that to "unless you spend X amount of dollars we will not come out to help you." I hired KITCHEN MAGIC to replace 18 door fronts, 6 drawer fronts and molding. I am on my fourth appointment. The first time doors/drawers were delivered but without the molding. The second time was to install molding and replace five doors and one drawer front that were defective, but installer hung them anyway. During the second appointment, the second, more professional, installer noticed the molding was the wrong color and one of the replacement doors was for the right, not left side of cabinet. Hoping the third time would be the charm, but wasn't, the latest replacement door had the holes for the hinges in the wrong location which obviously didn't match up. Find a company that can do the job in one take, especially for a job as simple as this was. It's not worth the inconvenience and upset in your home. The customer service rep refers to these incidents as my challenges that they are correcting. I suppose this is the politically correct term for inferior product and overall incompetence. I'm supposed to be grateful that they are stepping up to fix all their mistakes. Believe it or not, this company has been in business for 41 years. I recently ordered new quartz counter tops for my kitchen through Costco. Costco uses Kitchen Magic as their contractor -- they were wonderful! The men who came to my home, from the man who first arrived to place the order, the man who measured and took pictures to the installer were all professional, always arrived on time and were most competent. Based on other reviews our following problems with KM seem to be VERY common and consistent: We ordered two cabinets in November, 2019 to add to our existing layout (from a different manufacturer). The job has yet to be completed and it's now March 2020. I am getting progressively frustrated and now worried as the customer rep at KM and our original sales person are NOT returning calls and texts to help address the problem. The installation has been fraught with design flaws and technician inabilities. My wife and I have gone from likely having given them a good review to now telling others to STAY AWAY! The frustration from their unwillingness to address the problems and communicate with a paying customer (they require ~50% $ up front) is unacceptable. There are too many other cabinet/kitchen designers to pick one that will make you wish you hadn't. In retrospect it appears they do not honor and follow through with smaller jobs. I can give you a virtual tour for now.  This will be a long review, because I wish that someone had provided this information to me years ago, so I could have enjoyed my dwelling much sooner and my now deceased husband who loved to cook, would have had a fine kitchen to work in.   I live in a high rise coop building in the middle of Manhattan and having endured major renovations 15 years ago, I was putting off doing anything about my deteriorating kitchen and baths. I heard  of horror stories in our building where reputable contractors began work after receiving a hefty deposit, and then suddenly disappeared .Others had to wait many weeks to get coop approval  to do a renovation and had to pay the coop huge fees for damages caused by their contractors. Then of course the issue of living in a dusty apartment when a renovation is taking much longer than anticipated, is enough of a concern to keep putting off getting my dream kitchen. On top of that, I have family members who have asthma and allergies, and the dust was bound to cause problems. Lastly, who has time to navigate such an endeavor when life seems endlessly busy.    So I lived with my kitchen despite cabinet doors peeling,  counters looking dull and the floor starting to bulge because I was simply not ready to go through the ordeal of a renovation.  However, I started doing research and almost signed on with a contractor, but he was so impatient with my questions that I kept looking.  Somehow I came upon Kitchen Magic advertisements and I started researching resurfacing of kitchen cabinets.  When I called, I was given the name of Joe Deluca, the NY sales representative.  Thats when things started to look up for me.   Joe (now my go to person) was the person who I consider pivotal in helping me make the decision to sign on with Kitchen Magic.  We quickly made arrangements to get together and I loved that he was a true New Yorker...no frills, no high pitched sales...simply matter of fact, to the point and very clear about what could be done and what could not be done. He is also very personable and an animal lover with a huge heart.  I had a strong gut feeling and trusted him immediately. He patiently answered all my questions, came up with great design ideas and in no time at all, I was signed up and ready to go for a complete kitchen overhaul. I read the history of Kitchen Magic on their website, and having been in business since 1979 gave them credibility that others lacked.   Also the fact that the daughters of the founder are running the family owned business had its own appeal and I could relate having been in my own woman owned business.  Because the cabinets are not removed, our coop building considered this cosmetic changes and not a renovation  and there was no need for coop board approval or extra fees. Nothing was slowing us down.  Within a few weeks, the crew came and began their work.  They tented off a section of the apartment to reduce the dust and although it was crowded and uncomfortable, I was assured that all the work would be done in a week.  I can endure anything for one week.  Believe it or not,  the day of completion(5th day)was the day Covid shut down the city and all the buildings.  The crew left, the city went on shut down and I had a beautiful new, sparkling kitchen...with my only regret being that I wish I had  done this years ago.   Every-time I walk into my kitchen, its a joy and I  marvel at how bright and beautiful it is.  I can't wait to show my neighbors, when its safe to visit.  For city dwellers, Kitchen Magic offers a solution not available with general contractors.  Their products are high quality, their work is excellent, and the price is substantially less than doing a total renovation.   A lifetime warranty comes along with their product which is not offered by any cabinet places I have dealt with.  I had to leave during the pandemic  and when I returned, I found moisture damage in two bathrooms.   I did not hesitate to call Joe and he came to my place, helped me come up with ideas for resurfacing and building new cabinets and Kitchen Magic is almost complete with my two bathroom renovations. I have more projects planned. Kitchen Magic has a very organized system. My project manager, Maranda stayed very close and communicated well and made sure that issues were resolved quickly. Kitchen Magic is a perfect solution for city dwellers.  This was  a less expensive, less cumbersome, less time consuming  solution to getting my dream kitchen and bathrooms. When they called back to schedule the appointment they would not meet with me without my husband - I advised them that I am capable of making a purchasing decision - they would not give me an appointment without my spouse present. It is 2021 how arcane - whether you are female or male it is incredibly rude, sexist and unacceptable to not come to a home to give an estimate when requested by a person who states that they are a decision maker in the home!!!! If you have any sense of self I would recommend that you find a company that is does not prejudge the customer!!!!! read more

If i could give this company zero stars I would!!! We are selling our home and set up our photos to be taken the day after our install. I have been dealing with kitchen magic for 3 Months for a very simple cabinet refacing of 12 cabinets that had been damaged in our kitchen. FIRST, they stalker call me to the point of annoyment for a month about my install date of Nov. 12th... to which NO INSTALLER SHOWED UP. This was a MASSIVE inconvenience for my family, the photographer and our realtor. Not to mention the kitchen wasn't ready for the photos and it was a financial loss and inconvenience because the kitchen was in disarray. Then when kitchen magic apologetically sent the installer to come a few days later... when he opened the boxes the order was COMPLETELY WRONG. We had to cancel our open house. KITCHEN MAGIC did NOT listen to our needs. They manufactured the incorrect style of cabinet faces so they did not match our other existing cabinets. Our kitchen looked like a checkerboard. THEN, when I called to complain about ANOTHER massive inconvenience... I was assured they would replace the mismatched faces promptly and free of charge. At our next install date...the installer again opened the boxes and the new faces were not there. He had to leave because there was nothing for him to install. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. I would have given five stars except for a couple of things. The guy who came to our home for the estimate was a salesman through and through, which I wasn't expecting. There was a whole sales pitch with a quote that was way more than I expected and after working his "magic" brought the price down a few thousand. Although I still felt we probably paid too much for the refacing, and I just didn't have the time nor energy to get other quotes, we did go with Kitchen Magic and the cabinets do look great. Other complaint I have is I was told by the salesman that a project coordinator would be assigned to us and walk us through everything from start to finish. The only time I heard from the project coordinator was when I placed a call to find out status. The draftsman arrived right on time and was pleasant to deal with. The installer was also very attentive and kept us informed from start to finish (he was also a pleasure to work with). I have had an amazing experience from Kitchen magic from start to finish. A knowledgeable employee First came to my house and helped us plan our new kitchen. She recommended helpful changes to increase storage space, add function and esthetics. We even added a much larger quartz island and the cost was about a third of a total kitchen remodel. Arben Gjokazaj was meticulous about the fine details of the project. I could not find anything to complain about! You can tell he really cares about the craftsmanship he completes. So most people contact them to save money and time over getting a new kitchen. Well, imagine my shock to see quotes of over $35K for a kitchen that is 10x15ft, even after their discounts, and that was just for their refacing and changing doors etc, when I could get a better quality new kitchen for half the price with change. Don't waste your time if you were thinking of saving money. The other thing is the time it takes, but even their promise adds up to over a month and some of the reviews attest to it taking a lot longer. So, the moral of the story is to get a brand new kitchen rather than a sticky tape resurfacing effort, save money and it won't even take much longer.
