Today is that day, the appointment was for 30 minutes ago and there has not been any call or contact from this company. When you call the company main number you NEVER get an actual person answering the phone. We have delayed starting this project by a solid two months waiting to get a few estimates and this company was to be the last that we were considering. I can tell you that based on the fact that you can never reach and actual PERSON when you call them, their non-responsiveness to messages left and NOT SHOWING UP FOR A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT I would NEVER consider doing business with Deck Masters. I needed to replace my fence. It's was a mess and it was long overdue. I called the office, left a message and got a call back a few hours later. We set up a date about two weeks later for the owner to come out and give me an estimate. Day of he comes out and from the time he parked the truck until the time he got back in it was maybe ten minutes. Asked two or three questions and said it was all he needed and that the quote would come via email within the next few days. About a week later the email and the same estimate shows up in the mail the same day. The estimate is insanely high. Closer to 20K than it is to 10K for 160-ish linear feet of 6ft basic white vinyl privacy fencing and 2 gates. I didn't ask for anything specialized, custom, top of the line or exotic. Only bare basics. WTH. After a few days I called the office and left a message about what the price would be if we removed the old fence ourselves and never got a response which is what I assumed would happen. I'll take their silence to mean...??...the job is too small and they don't want to deal with it since there isn't enough money involved so let's give an unrealistically high quote that checks the box that a quote was given even if I would have to be an idiot to agree to it? Again, I don't know. They never returned my call or my follow up email so I'll take their silence to mean that it's time to move on, and I did, to another company who did a fantastic job for less than 10K. I get it. It's a crazy world we live in right now with supply chain issues, soaring prices and companies having lots of ongoing staffing issues which is why my rating isn't lower. But at the end of the day, there are times when you just get a vibe or feeling that the person/company you're dealing with isn't interested and that's exactly what I think happened here.

After about a week I tried contacting him through Home Advisor which is where I found him and I called his number and still heard nothing. After reading his reviews I found out one of his challenges is actually following up and providing good customer service with his potential customers and customers.

All the quotes that I received were within a small amount, had similar warranties, and similar quality products. Based on other reviews and photos of previous work, it came down to availability of two companies. Ekren was booked a bit further out than my neighbor a few miles away, who could start in a couple of weeks which was perfect for our coming dog adoption. I would have hired Ekren on any given day. But this came down to timing.
