When I wanted to wash my mom's large only-fits-in-a-commercial-washer bedspread, I wasn't looking forward to it. This place is a treat. It's clean, bright, a lot of machines, almost all of them work (those that don't are clearly marked as such), instructions posted on all of the dryers. (Great for me - I probably would have ruined Mom's blankie otherwise.) I think the prices are fair, and the staff is wonderful. I clearly had no idea what I was doing, and the gentleman offered a number of tips (bigger machine, small amount of soap, when to add it, what to look for) and was very nice about it. When it was done (it hadn't been washed in so long, it was a slightly different color, which was great - it looks new again), the woman there generously offered to help me fold it. All told, a very pleasant afternoon. Afternoon? No, an hour. About 30 minutes each for wash and dry. Even if I could get it into a home washer, it would never be washed and dried that quickly. I'll be back for my next major laundry job. I have a big bedspread, too, and a dog, so it should be soon.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I came to wash blankets. The machine charges an additional 0.50…read morefor hot water, but the machine had no warmth to it and the blankets came out cold. When washing, there was no water in the machine. The attendant told me that's how the machines work. The water absorbs into the blankets. While I understand that a certain amount of the water will absorb into the blanket, there should be a residual amount of the water that is just inside the machine and there was none. When the spin cycle started you would expect that the water absorb into the blankets would be extracted and you would see the water come out but during the spin cycle there was barely any water extracted which means that there was only enough water released from the washing machine to dampen the blankets. I asked the attendant for a refund and she told me she could not. I asked for the number of the owner and she gave me a number that doesn't work. It goes straight to voicemail and hangs up without allowing you to leave a message. I asked her when an owner would be in for me to talk to and she told me she didn't know. Do not go to this laundromat because they are only trying to save themselves money so you will be charged to partially clean your clothes if at all.

We did have some issues in the past (they "misplaced/gave away" a dress but then thankfully it was returned) and though the owner's reactions was underwhelming while the dress was missing (as far as taking any responsibility), since the issue resolved itself we assumed it was an anomaly. Within the past year, however, there were a couple (2) instances where items picked up showed stains that were not on the clothing when dropped off. They were taken care of, but with no acknowledgement that Delaney Heald was the cause. This last time however, I sent in a new, never been worn shirt for pressing. I got home after picking it up and I noticed damage on the collar, as if some type of dirt had been ironed into it. Without wearing it, I returned the next week, pointing out the collar damage; the next week after it was picked up, I saw that there was an attempt made to "scrub" it out which only made it worse. When I showed it to the owner, his response was to tell me that it didn't happen there. Even after I reminded him of the circumstances, he was unmoved and became angry as if I was trying to cheat him. I have been a regular customer there spending between roughly $18 - $30 weekly; for him to behave as if I'm trying to scam him into providing something for nothing is offensive. I will not return there as I do not think Delaney Heald has any integrity nor do they value their customer base. I would advise others to utilize another small business for their dry cleaning and alteration needs. Delaney Heald does not treat their clients well.

It's now 8:15p and I literally can't get a hold of anyone to see what's going on. It's advertised as a 24hr service. We are going on vacation at 7a tomorrow, and they have all of the clothes we need. I'm appalled at the lack of support and customer service. Please do not use this company. Update: it's now almost 8a the next day and we have not heard from anyone about our clothes. The website states they have "amazing customer service" that is "round the clock." This is clearly not true. We are now late leaving for our vacation and have to wrap our heads around the fact that are clothes are missing and/or not arriving today. I can't get a response via email, phone, chat or social media.
