Poor customer service ! It is Hard for them to say welcome or thank you for the business specially if you go to the service department.

My husband and I went in to look at a Ford Edge Sport close to closing time on Saturday night and Wayne Ford. The salesperson said it was his first sale he would make but was very knowledgeable and was a big help to us..he was very young and very nervous. He let us test drive the Edge and Once it came time to make a deal, we gave our numbers and what we were willing to put down. It was a substantial chunk of money along with what we were told were "very good incentives" for the Edge we would be close and He said ok we can work with this...he then proceeded and went over to a group of guys, who Im assuming one was the manager doing the numbers but all we heard was laughing and joking around about places to drink at? Is this a frat house or a car dealership. We waited over 20 minutes and when the salesman came back he brought the "sold gavel". He explained that if we took the deal he would bang it and everyone would clap. He said he was pretty sure we would like the offer. While explaining this, there was the same group of guys watching and laughing. He gave us the offer which was almost $300 OVER what we discussed and asked for more of a down payment...Really? He looked extremely uncomfortable and embaressed and It was then we realized...they never intended to make the deal nor did they try to...it was a saturday night and closing time and they wanted out. They figured if they gave us a ridiculous number we would leave so they could cut out as well. Well, it worked, we left... Not very professional or nice to do to a potential client or making an employee on their first day do to people. For all they knew I could have won the lottery and bough 5 cars from them...Clearly they dont need the sales or the customers or good reviews. Now I know why there is never alot of people in there and why I have never heard one positive thing about this dealership or the employees they have working there or the service, as I live local. First and last time I will ever step foot in there and I have lived local my whole life! What a bunch of clowns working here!! So unprofessional!! I would never so much as buy a bottle of water from them. Joke is on them though.....not only will my husband get his Edge from another dealer with a great deal next week, I got a new SUV as well...so they lost out on 2 cars. So take your "sold gavel" and bang that....Not sure who owns or runs this dealership but its one of the worst ever. I wouldnt by a Matchbox car from them! read more

The people were very courtious. Sales to service everyone seemed to go out of there way to be helpfull. I did get an underlying sence of fear in their employees, that if they weren.t nice thay were gone. I guess you need that to make sure everyone is treated well. I leased a Ford Fusion Hybrid from Wayne Ford and Dana Mattaece was my salesperson. I told Dana exactly what I was looking for, and while every other dealership gave me the run around and offered me things I didn't want or need, Dana gathered up her resources and came back to me with the car and options I was looking for at the price I was looking for. I was in and out in a day. Couldn't of been more hassle free. I recommend all my friends looking for a car over to her. read more

Went to Wayne Ford where a friend purchased a new F-150. Had a plastic cover come off for the tailgate step. Saw Michael and Ron in parts and customer service respectively. They had me get the vin number take a couple pics and send it to them. Ron realized that the piece was probably not put on properly and knew it should not come off. He ordered me a new one under warranty and I had it the next day no charge. Very easy to complain when these dealers don't do the right thing but in my case I am very pleased. Bought by 2013 Ford Escape here 2 years ago. I traded in my Honda accord. Got a far deal on my trade in and a good deal on my car. Never felt pressured into the buy. I told them exactly what I was looking for and they were able to deliver me the car within my tight 2 day time frame. Last fall I even won a free IPad air after playing in one of their FB games. No signs, no one around to let you know you were in the right spot. My lease is up in 5 months, will not be coming back to Wayne Ford, will probably go to Fette. I went there to find a loaded car at an affordable price. When I decided on a car I wanted it had to have a gps. Little did I know this wasn't going to be as easy. My sales person Tania was amazing! She called everywhere to find me the suv I wanted. Finally, after almost a week she found one in PA. She drove out herself to drive the suv back. BS! Had a car advertised on the internet that I was interested in. Called and arranged a test drive to see. Read reviews online and saw how others stated "false advertising" by not having car when they showed up. Called and explained that I was driving 2 hours to see car and wanted to make sure it was there and was told "keys on my desk". Got there and NO CAR! Gave me some story that managers wife is using car and "They can get her to pack to kids up and bring car back hopefully!" Needless to say, they heard a few choice words and I walked out. Worst customer experience beyond anything I have ever seen! I called about a car and spoke with someone over the phone who told me it was still available. I asked her about the price, she told me the listing price and further states "Its the end of the month, so I'm sure there is some wiggle room." I drive over an hour to Jersey to make a deal. I get there and the salesperson discusses what they are going to offer me on my trade. Her initial offer was fair . She said "as long as you don't haggle me on the sticker price." I agreed to the sticker price as it seemed to be a fair deal for all. She asks me to wait while she runs the numbers. I was waiting outside for about 40 minutes. While I was waiting, I decided to go look at the car again (which was a leftover, only one left). As I am walking around the vehicle, another salesman approaches me and says "hey man are you going to buy this?" I reply " I hope so." I walk inside to see where the saleslady was with my deal. Still nothing. I go outside and find the other salesman showing someone else the car I'm looking at. I even over hear him trying to make a deal with that specific car. I speak with the saleslady I'm dealing with who all of a sudden changes her initial offer and offers me $3500 less for my trade in. She begins making up numbers on the vehicle and tells me the payment is going to be over $700.00 a month. I tell her shes mistaken (as i ran all the numbers myself) and ask her how she came to that figure. All she responds is "Those are the numbers, maybe I can help you find another vehicle." refusing to show me how she got to those numbers. I ask her if I accept the second offer on my trade in, will she lower the sticker price. She doesn't negotiate any price with me only tells me NO. Then she says "let me see what I can do" And makes me wait another thirty minutes. CLEARLY STRINGING ME ALONG because she wanted to see if the other guy was going to buy the car. Of course she didn't want to lose both sales. Finally I ask her again and she suggests I look at other vehicles. I got fed up and left. MORAL OF THE STORY, THE OTHER GUY did not have a trade and they were going to make MORE money off of him, so SHE decided to LIE to me and make it seem like the car was too expensive. I have been buying cars for the last 15 years and I have never once experienced this LEVEL of GREED or dishonesty. I have never in my life see a dealership show the same vehicle to two different people at once and try to negotiate who they would make the most money off of. I purchased a 2017 Ford Fusion sport in July 2017. Within the first month of ownership the vehicles engine shut off while in motion on a Hill followed by rolling backwards down the hill. I brought my car to the dealership I purchased from (Wayne ford) to get this dangerous issue resolved. They hooked the vehicle up to their scanner and told me that there were no codes. Without a code there is nothing they can do and sent me away. Unfortunately it happened several more times. I brought it back and they told me the same thing. Without having a code or being able to replicate this issue (because it can't be easily replicated) ford will not authorize any repairs and they cannot help. Since then the car has stalled several more times. The dealership has now kept the car 3 times adding up to more then 5 weeks. They have made several attempts at resolving the issue by resetting the cars computer. Wayne ford can not find this dangerous issue. This vehicle is very unsafe to drive and can cause injury or death if the car shuts off on a highway or busy road. I have explained in detail how it happens and still can not get this resolved. service kept my vehicle 3 weeks this past time and didn't have the courtesy to give me a call to update me on my vehicles status. When I picked up my vehicle it was extremely dirty like it was left outside under a tree for the three weeks while the car was there. 2 weeks later I finally had a chance to wash the car and that's when I discovered a dent that was not there before dropping it off. So on top of my vehicle still not being fixed I got it back damage. I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of this unsafe vehicle. Wayne Ford and Ford Motor Co will not repurchase the vehicle after several request. I have also requested a replacement vehicle and that was declined. My mother is in the market for a new vehicle and was very interested in the Ford Escape but after seeing how ford does not stand by their products and won't offer relief for a dangerous vehicle she won't be buying a ford, as well as family who have been long time customer of Wayne Ford. I found a nice Ford Escape at Wayne Ford on this weekend. I sent a text to the salesman on Sunday that I wanted the car. I touched base with him Monday morning and he told me to come in to ink the deal. When I get there he tells me that they put the wrong sticker in the window the car wasn't 10k it was 20k! I had checked around the car was worth about 13k, it was a base model, The salesman told me they have a major construction project in the works. Reducing their inventory was a priority. That's why the car's price had been reduced. It's hard to believe that Wayne Ford is still using Bait and Switch tactics. I'd Steer clear of Wayne Ford if I were you. read more

Beware, I think that taking a customer's credit card for one purpose and then using it for another without their consent could be considered a felony theft. Slimy dealers have been known to hold a customer's car keys "for the appraisal" and find excuses to not return them (car-napping?) in hopes of pressuring the customer into a sale. Wayne Ford deals in similar slime. The previous week we were treated honestly and respectfully by Dana, who was not there when we went in 10/23/15 for a test drive of a 2015 C-Max Energi. A relatively new guy (1 year experience) debriefed us after the test drive. They didn't have basic option level in black which was our preference, and they legitimately offered us a higher price vehicle in white, which we had test driven. We declined, and were planning on going elsewhere. They asked at what price would we lease the upgrade, and we considered the value of the options (which we didn't need) and the color (which we didn't like), and made an offer which was acceptable to us, and specified was our only and final offer. They then asked for a credit card to put down a deposit if the price was acceptable (I guess to show we were serious; I should have been more wary). They came back with a counter offer which was ~$500 more than we wanted to pay for the upgraded model and ~$1800 more than we knew we could get the base model for elsewhere. We said no thanks, and asked for our card back. We had to ask at least THREE TIMES!!! for them to give us our credit card back!!! The salesman had apparently been instructed by their manager to tell us that we would get our card back (eventually), but the manager wanted us to wait while he searched the network inventory for another model to sell to us. They REFUSED to give the card back and were holding it and us hostage so they could pressure us into another vehicle that wasn't even in their inventory. We had not agreed to make a deposit on another vehicle, YET they were retaining possession of the card, allegedly for that purpose. That is taking and using our card for an unauthorised and strenuously objected to purpose. Is that legal? Now the salesman was a nice guy just following orders of an evil unethical overlord, I mean manager. We understandably got upset with such shady (and should I think illegal) pressure tactics, and left upon finally receiving our card. So Wayne Ford's management has blatent disregard for a customer's property and time. The particular manager isn't too bright, because he lost the sale of a $37k vehicle that was last year's inventory, and which they wanted to get rid of, for $500 of greed or stupidity. Here's the kicker, another dealership called us that night and heard or story, and offered us the identically equipped vehicle for our original offer price, with a higher value on our trade in. Incompetent and unethical dealerships give the industry a bad name. My advice, you can get a better deal and experience elsewhere. If you read the other reviews you'll see charges of unauthorized credit card use. read more

Last year I leased a 2016 f150 here. The sales team literally bent over backwards to ensure that I got the truck I wanted. They brought in a truck from PA and when I went to pick it up it was missing several features that I wanted, so they honored the same price for a truck on the lot that was almost 8k more - and threw in a free bed liner. I have sent multiple people back to them, and will continue to do buisness with them in the future. read more

I bought my ford edge at this dealership and it went well. I have had them service the car on and off but I use my own mechanic in Fairfield who has always been honest with me. Today I took my car to this dealer and they told me my car needed a front axle and it would cost 620.00 and there was a leak in the power steering line. That would cost 140 to fix. I told them not to do any work and took it to my guy who put the car on the lift and showed me the axles which are perfectly fine and the leak in my power steering was a loose nut. They would have ripped me off for 760.00 had I told them to do the work. Always ask to see the damage and don't trust them. They are putting a huge addition on and I personally don't want to be charged bogus amounts for things that are not wrong. read more

Bought a used 2011 Ford Fiesta from Wayne Ford, after driving it for 2 years I started experiencing issues with it. Brought the car to their service department for a checkup and received the run around and constant excuses about them being too busy. My Fiesta was still under warranty. They lent me a loaner car for 4 days in which I was asked to return the vehicle after they claimed nothing was wrong with my vehicle. In total they had my car for 6 days. I'm still stuck with the car and will never do business with this dealer again. read more

I cannot speak about this dealership in regards to buying a vehicle or getting my vehicle serviced but.... My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we live in Washington DC. Day after the wedding our truck will not start. Now, I actually am a Ford Senior Master technician and figured out the issue pretty quickly. However, I am still 5 hours away from my toolbox and anybody that knows me. I got the truck running and got to the closet Ford dealership for an odd ball fuse. After I explained what had happened the parts counter person gave me two fuses for the trip home. While it may not have been anything extremely expensive.... It gave me some piece of mind about making the drive home. I've worked at my dealership for 6 years and I doubt that the parts counter person would have done the same thing for me. I have dealt with Wayne Ford for two leases since 2012. I was recommended that they were a great dealer, I thought so to until after the deal was made. I was put into a Ford Escape 2012 which had some bells and whistles and I was pretty happy. I never dealt with a lease so I didn't know what to except, put a decent amount of money down. I really wanted to buy but some how left leasing. That car wasn't bad, until I found out about how leasing works, safe to say with the amount of money I put down the deal worked sort of itself out in my favor, but the time came that I needed to trade the car in and then it went down hill from there. I was told I NEEDED to put money down for a lease and I'm talking alot not just some, which is not necessary true, but I put something down. I was put into the most basic model there is out there with no features and was told it was because I couldn't put an insane amount of money down and ended up paying $100 more on my lease for a BASIC model then the truck I was trading in which had everything but leather seats and a driver that came with it. It was what it was, as long as it got me to where I needed to go. Well thenl I changed jobs about a year later. Life happens, so I called my dealer and explained I now drove almost 50 miles extra a day which led to 250 a week which in a year was 12,000 miles. I was signed into 10,500 miles a year. I asked what my options were and how to handle the situation, know what I was told NOTHING. Meanwhile I've spoken to people who had issues with miles and every other place seemed to help their customers, but I bit the bullet kept driving but made phones calls and visited other places while doing it. Turns out Ford deep in the contract has a clause where you can not trade in your vehicle to another car dealer, if you do that dealer has to send the car back, SO again I was at a stand still. As I got closer to my lease ending in 9 months! I was coming close to reaching my miles for the 3 year lease, I kept calling my dealer ( mind you its not like one day I said hey! I'm almost over, I got on top of handling this for over a year. ) Every time I called nothing could be done, but I kept receiving letters of buying back my car and saw deals being made left and right, but when I called it wasn't for me, I couldn't understand why not me. Until I visit a Ford dealer in Toms River who said they would love to work with me but I was in a BASIC model and they couldn't do much. I was so beaten by this time. So within the last few weeks I've been everywhere, Salerno and Duane WHAT A JOKE they may be second in line as the worst dealer after Wayne. After this lovely long review there was a happy ending Lynnes Nissan in Bloomfield, NJ was amazing. I walked in with the help of Jamal I left there in a brand new nissan with almost no money down, bought out of my lease and with an amazing payment that wouldn't kill me each month. They worked, explained everything to me and in the end knowing they needed to return my car bought me out of the lease with 9 months left. Wayne Ford for the last 4 years have been nothing but a headache and I know I'm the idiot that stayed, but they always made me feel stuck. And after all the bad experiences I made sure this time around to do all my research; check recalls, reviews, studied the options of financing and leasing. That's why this review is terribly, grossly long because I hope this helps some individual who just is lost in the car game, I hope this helps someone like me who is so lost and needs just a check back into reality, because it's exhausting. Buying a new car should be a great experience, and Wayne Ford did not do that for me. It was always an excuse of why they couldn't help me. Wayne gave me nothing but stress throughout the years, they ripped me off, and in the end lost a deal. And not just with me, with a family members and a few friends who have felt the same way. We have all parted from Ford and Wayne Ford since and all are incredibly happy with new dealers. Nissan for me was the best way to go. read more

You might have a good experience, but be careful. My honest rating is two stars because our sales rep - Wayne - was a good dude, and we liked his style. However, after we had settled on numbers and shook hands, he came back to us saying that the finance guy - Vince - had made a mistake and the car was going to cost $2000 more than what we had shaken on. We said they either needed to honor the agreement or we would walk. Vince leaned in to me in a not-so-friendly way and said it was a mistake. Now, of course we understand that mistakes happen, the way in which it happened was a bit strange, which leads me to believe either that Vince is a bit loose with details or that they were running us around. Either way, a handshake is an agreement, and they didn't honor that. So be careful. Unless something very unusual happens, we will not be buying a car from them anytime soon. read more

I recently moved to the area and needed to have my truck serviced. I have the Premium Care Plan still in effect and as soon as I mentioned I had that plan and that I'd need a rental if the truck needed to stay overnight the service guy's tone changed. He said rentals were only available for those who bought the vehicle from his dealership. I was told when I bought the truck that the service plan was useable at ANY Ford service place. The service guy is a real jerk who's only interested in stealing your money. read more

For the past 10 to 12 years I purchase diesel trucks for my roofing company with this dealership, aprox 3 to 4 vehicle a year. After speaking with Troy Mole, he explain to me that the new Eco boost truck was getting 15 to 21 mpg and a lot of his friends and costumer were getting great gas mileage 20 mile per gallon ! So I purchase a 2013 FX4 Crew Cab Pick Up for $51,000.00 ! In my opinion a lot of money for a 150 pick up but I figure if I was getting great gas mileage it was well worth it. Unfortunatly its been almost 4 months now and I am only getting 8.9 MILES A GALLON!!!!!!! Spoke to Troy Mole 1 month after purchase and he said I had to break the vehicle in, after 2500 miles I would see better gas mileage, after reaching 3500 I was still getting the same gas mileage, called Troy again and was told to break it in 5000 miles. I contacted Ford directly on there 800 number who then explain to me in the owners manual that the truck would be breaking in at 3000 miles to assume EPA MPG. While I was on the phone with ford they contacted wayne ford and spoke to service manager and asked them to do a fuel pressure test, AFTER speaking to ford I called wayne ford to make a appointment and was told that there was nothing they could do for me ! That I had to break the truck in 5000 miles. I now have 9000 miles on the truck and I am still getting not more than 9 miles per gallon. Once again spoke to service manager at wayne ford and was told theres nothing they could do for me that they are aware of the problem. Now I am stuck paying a 800$ a month truck payment that cost me more gas money than my 2012 F450 Dually, Now no one is returning my phone calls and I am stuck with a lemon, This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND SHOULD NO BE ALLOWED , THEY NEED TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION OR CHANGE THE TRUCK ! The customer service at this dealership is horrendous. DO NOT get your car serviced here. There was a recall on my 2013 Escape (which I bought there) and it took me months to be able to schedule the work as the place is always jam packed. The letter I got from Ford said the work would take half a day but Wayne Ford was telling me it would take them at least 4 days to do the work because they are so busy. I scheduled the work and when I called to confirm the loaner, they told me that they could not guarantee I would get one. I live 40 mins from this place and there was no way I was going to leave work early and drive all the way there not knowing if there was a loaner available. They said the loaner was a courtesy. I have no choice but to get the work done as it's a recall, don't tell me it's a courtesy! The loaner I finally got was completely disgusting inside and outside. The console was totally dirty and the steering wheel was sticky. They ended up having my car for 9 days!!!! Part of this was because two more recalls had been issued and they also needed to fix something else, however there is no reason the work should have taken that long. The car sat there for 4 days before they even started working on it. Not only is the service dept awful, I've had problems with the car since I got it. I will NEVER buy another call there again and will definitely not be having it serviced there anymore. They are awful. read more

I was just thinking about the truck I purchased from Wayne Ford. I did purchase the truck with no warranty and I knew going into the deal I may have some issues. But I was not quite ready for the list that is building currently. * At the first snow storm I discovered the front wheel drive DID NOT WORK. I discovered that Ford used a Vacuum operated actuator to lock in the front wheel hubs to the axle. When I took the truck to my local shop they told me not only the vacuum did not work, the Manual lock in was also useless. Needless to say with a new set of Manual front locking hubs the 4 wheel drive works quite well. I did express to you my reason for the purchase was the 4 wheel drive so that I may travel to my cabin in the winter. * In the resent cold weather another discovery made was the glow plugs are not working. I'm guessing that the first day I looked at the truck and it did not start for you the lamp should have lit so to speak. I simply put it down to the truck sitting in the lot not being started. Well unless the truck block heater is plugged in a minimum of 2 hr. when cold the engine will not start. In cooler outside weather the engine will start but only with extended starter operation. You should have seen the looks I got, when I had the truck connected to a generator in the parking lot of Lehigh Valley Hospital to start it in the morning after I had an overnight test. This was the Friday morning in December that it hit 5 degrees for the first time. My garage mechanic is telling me at least 6 of the glow plugs are out. * In running a diagnostic test of the engine computer I told also there are at least 4 fuel injectors that are weak and will need to be replaced. I said to my mechanic how much to replace them all if 4 are weak surely the other remaining injectors are not far behind. Well I have sticker shock now at over $300.00 per injector without installation. Well I can say I did not see that coming. * So far my initial fears of the oil cooler and the High pressure oil pump for the injection system have not come to light. But in light of the other ( minor ) issues I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. So my intent for this e-mail is for you to bring to the attention of the General manager and or the owner of Wayne Ford the issues I am having here. I would like Wayne ford to pick up some of the cost on the repairs of this truck. I want to keep the truck as it fits my needs quite well and otherwise preforms well. Unscrupulous sales team. I bought a brand new 2015 Escape, had problems within 3 days of taking it home. I told them I did not want it if this was how it was going to perform, they tell me no problem bring it in. I go back to get a different model and they want to give me $5000 less than what I paid after 3 DAYS!!! ARE YOU KDDING ME...Buyer beware is all I can tell you...no morals at all....they could care less about customers as long as they make their sales....I hope anyone who reads this thinks twice before acting... read more

I bought a brand new 2015 mustang and since the first day I received the car it was broken. Check engine light came up, alarm broke, tire pressure sensor fell. I was literally every month taking the car in for service. It was just a bad and stressful experience for me since it was the first time buying a brand new car ever. You would think buying a brand new car would keep you away from the dealer other than to get an oil change but it this wasn't my case. I even lost money in the process because I had to take time off from work to drop off the car at the dealer, rent a car during the service time because they didn't have loaner car available for me. Just very stressful experience with this dealer and the car. read more
