Kelsey's combines high powered expertise and reach with small business personal touch. Items I drop off are meticulously tracked, and receipts/pricing is sent for my approval usually within minutes of me leaving. I've sold many designer bags, shoes and pieces of clothing with them and have never had issues with their pricing or payouts. I'm very knowledgeable of the market myself and we always see eye to eye on pricing. You can collect your balance at the beginning of each month and they'll have a check ready and waiting for you. Despite absolutely having the knowledge and ability to resell my pieces myself, I choose to work with them because it's such a great experience from beginning to end. Their payouts are at a higher percentage than what I have seen elsewhere, but even if they weren't - I'd still choose to consign with them. The stores are preparing for Easter and the Spring season so there are many pretty pastels to choose from. Many of you know that my favorite color is pink. But I also enjoy a milky banana or sunshine yellow. There was plenty. I only shopped at a few stores today as hubby was working so it was easy for me to be in and out. He takes a little more time with his selections than I do. There is a really nice coffee shop that opened up in the place of Starbucks. Right next door is a macaroon shop. You can always buy mangoes, ice cream and churros. Grabbed a few items for upcoming birthday surprises and headed on my way.

The ladies who volunteer are so sweet and the money goes towards a lot of charities. It's a small thrift shop, but I like that. It's much easier to find great stuff when there aren't a billion racks of cheap clothes to dig through. I've only recently developed a love of thrifting. I don't know why it took me so long. There's always something interesting in their collection, which at any time has handmade, vintage, collectible, and other unique items alongside more conventional ones. The more desirable vintage and antique items won't be cheap, but they'll be cheaper than at a curated vintage or antique furniture shop. Jubilee isn't a thrift store, and in some cases their prices can be a bit high. Everything is final sale, so there's an element of "buyer beware," like most resale shops. They put the brand name on the price tag if it's a selling point, but not so much for cheaper brands. Once I purchased an item here, and when I got home I found the label and saw it was made in China by a low-end furniture company. I never would have paid as much had I known, so I felt a bit duped. However I still wound up going back as I never found as much furniture I liked anywhere else. And for what it's worth, the item has held up. Most of their service is provided by volunteers, who are nice, but some are more knowledgeable than others. To sum up, it's not perfect, but in a retail landscape where most new furniture is either flimsy "manufactured wood" or ultra-expensive high end brands, Jubilee helps fill an important gap for affordable quality furniture.
