Went tonight with the wife, heard mixed things but we enjoyed it. The burgers were tasty and they had a good variety of types. The fries were good but a little overly salty, and my wife really liked the red velvet milkshake. Nice staff, cute little luncheonette type look. Went here the other week with my girlfriend looking for a new burger spot in the area. She got a regular burger and I got the cheeessy burger. We also ordered drinks, only to find out their machines were broken. Usually this wouldn't be an issue for me, except they wanted US to pay 1.50 more for drinks because their machine was broke... really didn't seem like friendly customer service at all. Places air-conditioning went out and it was really hot. So we got takeout by the time I brought the burger home it was a little soggy, but it was pretty tasty. Fries were not great and I can't even imagine eating in the restaurant even with air-conditioning had a pretty, heavy kitchen odor. People are really friendly. Convenient location. read more

The burgers are delicious, cheesy enough, grilled to perfection, I took one star away, because on the two occasions, they took over an hour for a pickup they had so much confusion and didn't have things under control, I believe they were so understaffed and the guy doing the burgers was also doing cashier work, packing everything up and taking phone calls. There was another girl there but I'm not sure if she was training. Everything tasted great, it was just such a long wait and it was twice the same issue. I hope they resolved this since. There is parking, you have available sitting inside, they have a good spacious place. Cleanliness; they can work on it a bit. And hire more staff. This is my opinion and based off two experiences. I'm a vegetarian so most places with burgers don't get me to visit. But they touted they have an Impossible Burger that you can add your own toppings. I've had Impossible burger in several places and most of the places don't put anything into making it as tasty as it can be. I prefer my own. Well, that stops with Wayback burgers and make your own toppings. Delicious, done on time and when ordered with the app, more economical than most places. I loved it. Only suggestion I do have is they must add more lettuce and a healthier slice of tomato. Other than that, bravo. I won't order a soft drink there. Way too expensive. read more

Food is ok, place could use better lighting. Customer service is HORRIBLE. This is the second time I picked up an order via Grubhub. The first time, there was only one guy there who came out of the kitchen, saw me standing in the pick up area, but looked right past me and proceeded to start cooking. When I told him I was there for a pick up, he rudely said he'll be right with me. When he finally got to me and I told him I was picking up my order, he said, "oh it's for you? I thought you were the driver". What difference does it make whether I was picking up someone's order, or I was the customer? They got paid either way, didn't they? And why would you treat someone differently because of that? Tonight was even worse. I went right up to the pick up area. There were 3 guys behind the line - the same one who thought I was the GH driver from last time, a short man who had his back turned away from the dining area and facing the wall cooking something, and a man who was right in front of the pick up counter facing me. I didn't expect the other 2 to see me, but the third one, the one I stood in front of and was facing me, looked right past me and didn't even acknowledge me or tell the others I was there. So, I went up to the order counter. When I informed the guy from last time I was there for a pick up, he said to go to the pick up counter. I know it was less than 10 steps away, but it was a semi-open area and he could have just as easily grabbed my order and handed it to me. So I pushed back and said I was just there and I was ignored. That's when the short guy facing the wall turned around and huffed that they couldn't see me with their backs turned. Yes, I know. But then I told him that the man facing me completely ignored me. That's when he took my bag of food and THREW IT on the counter. Then, like a brat, he turned away. While I was speaking. The guy from last time just automatically said,"have a nice day". Not a thank you, not a single apology from any of them. I understand having a bad day, but to take it out on customer who called you out for your own mistake is out of line. I'm surprised people still go here. The food was ok, and my orders were always right, but based on other reviews, their customer service is non-existent. People tend to forget that restaurants are a CUSTOMER SERVICE industry. I don't agree that the customer is always right, but at least treat them properly and admit when you're wrong. I went in about a week ago to order food. However, I was met with poor service and hospitality. I drove 20+ minutes to sit down and eat in person here. Prior to ordering my food, I was told there was going to be a 30 minute wait which would mean the food would be ready at the time of them closing. I asked about. I accidentally ordered the impossible burger...... accidental because I failed to read the complete description and since I did it via app couldn't change my order. I did want a beef burger but I was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't half bad. I think I'm judgmental because it is just wasn't what I really wanted so I can't commit to really liking it, lol. 9/14/18 Wayback is the way to Burger. And other tasty foods. I feel so lucky that I called to inquire about their opening times since I learned that they were actually open till 10 PM (not 9 as listed in the Yelp app). As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. Since it was my first time there they allowed me to take my time and patiently answered my questions. I ordered the way back classic burger (double patty) classic hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut, and onion rings. During the brief wait for my order the staff made me feel like an old friend and very welcome. My food was cooked perfectly and every detail of my order was remembered. My burger was made just the way I requested and included double patties-well done, lettuce tomato pickle grilled onions and mushrooms as well as mustard and ketchup. My hotdog was grilled to perfection and had mustard and sauerkraut just the way I had wanted. The onion ring were prepared as I waited and were fresh and delicious. The servings are large and generous and the food was absolutely delicious. I can't believe I waited this long to try Wayback burger. I will be back again soon read more

What a fantastic place. I've come here a few times and it never disappoints. Sometimes the customers are real weirdos, but the food is always a home run. Its decently priced and they are always offering coupons and discounts through their app and various other places online. I especially like their "Cheeesy Burger." Its an absolute monster. Just cheesy and beefy and greasy and the inverted bun keeps any of that good stuff from soaking into the bun so it jut drips down your hand and wrist. Love this spot for burgers. read more

I like pretty much any place that offers more than just plain ol' beef burgers. I try to stay away from red meat so when I saw Wayback offers turkey and veggie burger options, I was sold. The ordering process is simple. Go to the counter, tell them the type of burger, toppings, and sauce. You can also order a side (O-Fries are awesome. Onion ring and French fries together!). And a drink. The wait wasn't too crazy and it's nice that everything is made fresh to order. The turkey burger was delicious! The rolls they use are out of this world good. The gold sauce is a bitch more flavorful than I was expecting and they use far too much of it so next time I may ask for it on the side. The fries and onion rings are great. Especially the rings.
