So the last time I got waxed, curiosity got me and I tried sugaring down on Broadway and redondo. Don't get me wrong, Brazilian waxing is never a pleasant feeling for your "you know what", but the sugaring was downright torturous and I will never do it again. Went in this morning for my 1st full Brazilian with Shannon! First off customer service was amazing! My GPS got my a bit lost and I called for clarification and let them know I'd be a few mins late. Super helpful & understanding. Shannon eased all my anxiety about the experience by helping me with breathing techniques & by letting me know exactly what she was doing & what she would be doing next. Not to mention she was super quick I think it took about 15 mins (thank god it didn't feel like an eternity). She left me completely clean! & tweezed whatever the wax didn't get which was only 1. I'm not new to waxing (eyebrows & legs) & it was relatively painless. There's one part that it super sensitive & she warned me right before she pulled. I made an appointment the day before- which they recommend. I believe there's only street parking- so I'm sure sometimes it could be tough. I was fortunate to find it right in front. I walked in and the ladies greeted me nicely. I signed a waiver type paper. And immediately was placed in a room where my esthetician Marissa offered sanitation wipes and a cover up. She was extremely kind through the whole process and the Brazilian wax literally went by so fast. I was in and out of there within 30 minutes. I'll definitely be going back! It was a great experience. It was extremely sanitary and constantly asked me if I was comfortable. UPDATED REVIEW I came back for the second time and I absolutely love this place- I will always be coming here to get a Brazilian. This time I had Jessica and she was awesome. Jessica made my second experience somehow better than my first! I felt so comfortable with her and the whole wax went by so fast. Again under 30 minutes and I have coarse hair. They'll have me in and out in 10 minutes. They talk you through the whole process so it helps take your mind off of the pain. I have had good and bad experiences here... Amy was amazing. Fast, clean, and relatively painless. Another time was terrible. The wax itself was slow, and each time she did not really rip off the wax, there was a hesitation that was brutal. This also made it messy, there was wax everywhere. But the worst part is that only 3 weeks the hair is growing back, and some what unevenly. I have been getting waxed for about 5 years and usually my hair grows back evenly after about 4-5 weeks. Shannon! She's the WoMan! I'm sure the other ladies are great but I'm committed to her. I'm guaranteed no irritation every time I leave. This way of hair removal is the least painful way. After 3-4x going you just get used to it. I think the hair follicles are like ok we gotta do this again!! Amy was amazing! This was probably one of the most enjoyable and thorough brazilians I've ever had. It was also the cheapest but there was nothing cheap about the quality of their work and service. 1st off they get all the hair off... I mean in places that some waxing facilities fail to get. I mean, girls if you have that line of stomach hair or butt hair.. It's all included and no one but your waxer has to know! Now that's a steal for just $40.00. 2nd their facility is cute and sterile. Takes away the feeling of being operated on so your comfortable throughout the process. Not to mention again, STERILE with their disposable wax cups. 3rd Amy was very attentive to my reactions. Every few minutes she would ask if I was ok or if I needed her to slow down or wax smaller patches. I was so comfortable and i immediately trusted her. I even dozed off for a bit! My pain tolerance is pretty high but I've been to places that were excruciatingly painful.. Amy was very persistent with applying pressure to the waxed area. It made the pain go away almost instantly.. Needless to say I will becoming back. This was a great waxing experience and like I said the quality of work is amazing. I anticipated about coming in because my hair was really, really short, however I was desperate and needed to find a mid-point between OC to Lomita. Wax Candy had a lot of good reviews so I decided, WHY NOT!! As I said, my hair was really short so in the past the technicians would always turn me down until it's longer (2-3 weeks wait L). She was super friendly, extremely meticulous, and made sure I was completely comfortable with everything that was going on. She talked to me the whole time, paid attention to areas I said could be sensitive, and gave everything a last go over to make sure I was all clean and ready to go when she was done.
