The service at this location is very good, the workers always friendly and you can usually be in and out quickly unless you hit a morning, lunch or after work rush. If their lot is full, just park on the side street. This is a deli and convenience store only so no gas. If needed, the gas location is 10 minutes down the road heading towards PA. After traveling to other states you come to find that there is no place like Wawa. Sure there are some other competitors that offer food, drink and gas, but noone does it like Wawa nor do they do it consistently well 24/7. The company takes pride in running well maintained and managed deli/convenience stores where every aspect from staff to food quality is expected to be tops and they set a standard their competitors must exceed. I think Wawa coffee is delicious. I am not a coffee snob so when and how the beans are roasted then ground does not matter to me. Their brews are not as strong or bold as some other places, but IMHO the flavor is good. I tend to go dark roast or Colombian so your results may vary. I also like being able to make it my way and adjust sugar, cream or use one of their flavored creams at my discretion. Their hoagies are good too and Ive enjoyed them around the clock. Sausage and egg breakfast hoagies, afternoon Italian or late night turkey hoagies have always hit the spot! Its gotten to the point where I can honestly feel like having a Wawa hoagie versus traveling to an actual sub shop. Thats saying something about the quality of their sandwiches and the other food items from the deli. They still have nothing on the Bobbie though, so one place is still safe. ;-p read more

Constantly have my food order wrong, the cashier is always unhappy and clearly hates life, and worst of all they are unapologetic about their poor attitude. If you go to the food area to get yourself a sandwich or whatever you'll notice the trash is disproportionately more order screw ups than actual trash. Delaware law states that it is illegal for these places to give out those mess ups or for people to go through the trash to get said food (kid you not, it's still considered theft), sorry homeless folks, you'll have to just look at it as you starve. Sad stuff aside this place has zero redeeming qualities and I would simply suggest traveling a short two miles down the road to a way better wawa experience. read more

Wawa is always good in a pinch. They have everything I'm craving. Only thing I don't enjoy about this particular Wawa is that it closes at 11 pm. On Saturday night after being out at the bar, this is most inconvenient. read more

I love Wawa. I go every day for lunch. They have everything. Although they are a bit pricey what are you to do.

I have been to many a Wawa in my life predating the Wawa gas stations when it was just the convenience store. I have been coming to this Wawa for the last year after moving from Philly to DE and this place is legit. The parking lot is awful, just truly horrendous, and the store is usually crowded because it is a smaller location, but it is totally worth the hassle. The girls that work the deli are the best I have ever encountered. They are always extremely nice and very efficient and moving the lines even when it is packed. Special shout-out to Chelsi, who I have noticed makes the best sandwiches and is also just really good at her job. She makes every sandwich as if she would be the one eating it and wraps it tight so it doesn't get messy in transit to the final eating destination. She is also really good at keeping everything orderly. If management hasn't noticed yet, you should, because I guarantee she would make a great GM for one of your stores and it would be the best run store to date. The cashiers are always friendly and efficient as well, but the sandwiches here are top tier Wawa quality. I wish they would open a gas station location closer to this side of Philly pike because the Claymont location is out of the way and it would make getting gas more convenient but also open up the flow of traffic coming in and out of here a little better (which is the only reason this is not a 5 star location). read more
