Endangered my unborn child, destroyed the evidence, and then dismissed me. On 11/24/25, I ate a Wawa salad containing a dead fly. I am pregnant and was terrified for the safety of my baby. I ended up in the ER with diarrhea, severe vomiting and uterine cramping. I couldn't keep food down for two days and lost my appetite for four more days after that. The way Wawa handled this was appalling: Destruction of Evidence: I told Catherine C (Customer Relations) I planned to contact a lawyer that I know who could have the food tested for further contamination. She insisted I return it to the store for 'internal testing.' I complied. The store manager, Nambia at the time offered me $6.99 to resolve the issue. I later found out that Wawa's Corporate team contacted the store and instructed them to discard the salad. Dismissive Corporate Response: Michelle Chapman (Michelle.chapman@helmsmantpa.com) has been completely dismissive of my trauma. She passed the blame to their supplier, Taylor Farms and did not provide any further resolution beyond $6.99. Wawa tricked me into giving back the evidence, destroyed it, and now refuses to take accountability. Take caution if you eat at this Wawa. Side note: I have been going to wawa faithfully since I was a child...sometimes 10+ times a month, which my wawa app will reflect. I got my last fix of the world's tastiest iced coffee that comes out of a machine as we were headed from Philly to DC. Oh, and we needed gas too. This was a bustling location compared to the suburban stores in the Pennsylvania area that I'm used to. They have a big gas station with 10 lanes and an equally large convenience store selling everything Wawa's are known for, including their infamous deli shelling out hot hoagies. Parking can be tight but there were lots of unofficial places you could park for a bit while you run in. Don't be a jerk like some folks who'd leave their cars at the pump while running inside. Move, fool! I can't stress enough how good their pre-mixed iced coffee is. My favorite is the Original flavor but it's also offered in Mocha which is too sweet for me. Cashier service was quick. TIP: Apple Pay accepted. OVERALL: Funny name that'd blow away 7Eleven if they ever came to Hawaii! read more

I don't know what is going on with Wawa's lately but this has me writing this review. The bathroom was disgusting. I haven't seen a clean Wawa bathroom in over a year. When traveling I always stop at wawa for coffee and the bathroom. Guessing I need to find a new pit stop. Today I went to get coffee and the regular was out. I ask the employee if there was any more regular. She looked at me and said no and started wiping the counters. I have always had the employees say no but then tell me they will make some. They recently updated their rewards app. A lot of changes were made,and it's made redeeming points a bit frustrating. I had to call corporate to gain points I lost. Associates aren't being trained to know how it works. Saving money is important to many. In all the careers that included technology upgrades,we always had to come up with ways to learn new systems and how they function. It helps customers understand as well. Funkiest of WaWa's I've been to! All the usual menu options were there and the store was pretty clean, but the customers - wowee! I met a neat woman nick-named "Auntie" - I complimented her on her cool stones and gems. Here, that's what she does for a living. We talked a bit and she gave me her "card." It was overly crowded and some poor customer in front of is needed to pay his $11 in mostly coins. Nice / tolerant, young male cashier handled it well. Free air for tires ...and the machine works! The only thing worse than paying for air, is the machine doesn't work and the local clerk doesn't know anything about it. Not at this Wawa. I was very disappointed at 5:30 pm today. The Wawa had big, appropriate CDC signs on their doors stating that masks were again required regardless of vaccine status. I was on my way back to DC from a concert in Philadelphia. I refuse to feel guilty for severely enjoying myself and maybe screaming "Have my babies!" at Taylor Hanson. So, why the five stars? I had crossed the DE border from PA. I had about 15 miles' worth of fuel in my tank. I turned off on three different exits that promised gas, but every station was closed. I started to mildly panic. But then I saw a light, and it promised me not only cheap gas, but food. And not just any food: $3 hoagies. Did you know that every Wawa is open 24 hours? And that you can order a customized chicken tender sandwich whenever you please? I've got shreds of lettuce and onion all over the seat of my car to remind me of my tasty highway savior. read more

They have a lot of food sitting there (in fridges or under a light if its hot.... With "made on" stickers) so that if you're in a hurry you can grab and go. They have fruits and veggies and pitas with hummus, and salads and wraps and hoagies and breakfast sandwiches and pretzels and potato salad and coleslaw.... I can keep going, but they have everything - their coffee is just awesome. - their new flatbread sandwiches are pretty darn tasty - You can typically buy meat by the pound (like at a deli). Not all stores do this, but a lot do. - They have way better milkshake diversity.... Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, oreo, mint chocolate chip. And they also had smoothies. Cons: -no fried food -their baked goods are good, but not Krispy Kreme -the nearest one is in woodbridge. So my final verdict? They were soo close, but Wawa has to be the winner. And just like on "Throwdown with Bobby Flay", I'm giving my vote to Wawa because it reminds me of my times "growing up" (aka being a drunk kid). But like the differences in pizza or bbq, one is not significantly better than the other... its totally your upbringing. So I will still go to Sheetz and Wawa, eat deep dish and NY style pizza and texas and north Carolina style BBQ. But I will still get that warm fuzzy feeling every time I see one of those wawa signs. read more

This is a BIG, clean, super Wawa - with a gas station and tons of convenience food items, smokes, cold drinks, magazines, a deli counter with touch-screen sandwich ordering and lots of things now common to most Wawas. This is the closest Wawa to home and it's within walking distance. It's a Super Wawa with gas in addition to the usual convenience store component. Their gas is the cheapest in town and often the cheapest in Northern Delaware. Inside, they carry a good selection of snacks and beverages. They have a deli section with hot food and made-to-order sandwiches. Also, it's great that they're open 24/7, even on holidays. read more

Wawa's overall are pretty clean, friendly, and fast places. This one just happens to have the best gas prices on this side of town as well. It is well lit at night which is a great plus, especially in the winter. Bathrooms: Clean, on the left side of store when you enter. Has baby changing station. Parking lot: HUGE. Plenty of parking and next to a few freeway entrances making it a good place to meet up with people if you are taking multiple cards to the same destination. read more

There is nothing bad I can say about any Wawa I go into. This one is great in the morning. The people are nice and helpful and the food is fresh. I say fresh because I go there 4am in the morning. this is one of my favorite places in delaware, and i am so sad that there is not a single wawa in boston. wawa offers tons of convenience foods, and even though most of them are pre-packaged they are actually pretty fresh and tasty. the deli also offers fresh baked bread, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. at times, i have picked up 3 meals a day here while working at my client, and i don't really have complaints. the cashiers are quick and friendly, and the store is also clean. read more

This Wawa is a great pit-stop for gas, especially if you are traveling north on I-95 towards Philadelphia and are planning to take the I-495 bypass. Instead of going left on the fork to I-95, stay to the right, continuing onto I-295. Then take the northbound Rt. 13 exit on left shortly after the I-95/I-295 fork. This will take you directly to this store and gas station, on the right. The gas prices here are quite low, so this little detour will be worthwhile. After you fill up, you can get back on Rt. 13 going north again, and get unto northbound I-495 pretty easily. read more

Today after I walked around for 10 min trying to find something new and different bc I always get the same thing I was followed around the store as if I was a criminal by an employee named Jackie. Didn't even have 1 thing in my hands because I was still looking and I'm being followed are you serious. I come here all the time and was just here 3 hours prior to get my smoothie. I was not there at a busy time there were more employees then customers so if your so concerned I was going to steal something u could have handled it another way. This lady Jackie was rudely following me to if I turned around I would trip over her. Not to mention the looks she was giving me very unprofessional to a paying customer. If it wasn't for customers she wouldn't have a job. Since when is it a crime to walk around a store trying to find something. Never have I felt more disrespected as a paying customer.
