Not friendly. The young lady that took our order, her name wasn't on the receipt, was miserable. I've only been to a Shake Shack one time prior to this visit, and that was years ago. I asked her if the hotdog was 1/4 lbs or a regular hotdog, and she didn't have and answer, didn't ask someone, and she looked annoyed that I even asked. Once my order was complete, she told me the screen would ask me a question. The question on the screen was what percentage would I like to add for a tip which goes to the whole staff, I left 15% thinking she would see I left a tip and maybe this would improve her mood. Nope, she didn't acknowledge I had left a tip, she handed me a number and told me my order would be delivered to my table when ready.They ask you to do a survey, which I will, but I highly doubt it will do any good. We ordered at 19:03, our food was delivered to our table at 19:12, pretty good for food made to order. As far as preparation, the burgers were perfect, as were the fries. The kids ordered grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was burnt, but I made the kids eat it. Shamefully, I didn't want to complain because I assumed the young lady at the counter wouldn't respond correctly, and I just didn't want to have any other interactions with her. I know I took the easy way out, but I've been beaten down from the majority of employees at all customer service businesses. With the exception of the burnt grilled cheese, everything else in our order was very good. Price; I expect to pay more because the food is prepared to order, and the quantity is above the average fast food burger establishment. The freshness, quality, and taste were excellent, but the portions were too small for the price. In comparison, I pay the bigger price at 5 Guys, and they have the same quality but way bigger portion. It's fresh food, but mediocre in flavor and serving size. When we went, they had the cherry blossom shake special which was good, but it's not a shake I would go out of my way for though. It was busy and service was fine. It's just overpriced for the quality. If I'm in the area, I wouldn't mind eating it. We come to this location every year on our way home from the beach. The food is typical shake shack food... it's good! My review is about the staff in this specific location. They are awesome! Always checking on us to see if we needed anything. They have a foosball table, and the manager stopped to play with a little boy. We had 3 different staff members stop to ask us if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Great management and staff. read more

We stopped here on a road trip and we're happy to see a patio where could we could eat with our pup. We ordered burgers and a chicken sandwich and fries doe the family. My daughter got a cookies and cream shake. We even got dog biscuits for the pup. The best part is the nice outdoor dining space. Pretty flowers and landscaping all around the patio made it a lovely stop on the way home from a road trip. The server who brought our food even offered to bring the dog a bowl of water. read more

This Shake Shack is pretty standard fare. I switched it up and ordered a fried chicken sandwich this time around, and was quite disappointed with the small chicken fillet portion. My wife and son ordered single shackburgers that were actually quite large, and I'd say it's probably hit or miss. Visited on 9/30 around 4pm. Upon walking in there weren't many patrons but tons of orders piled up in the pickup area. This was my first time in! I knew I wanted the chicken sandwich which I what I got with fries. It was well seasoned, juicy and had a nice lil herby mayo situation on the bottom bun w lettuce and pickles. The fries looked small in the container but were plentiful. I didn't feel stuffed or like I need something else which is important ! My friend ordered the same except purchased the watermelon mint mojito (a new booze free drink selection). I liked it, him having offered me a sip. He thought it was too tart w not enough watermelon so if you're a big sweet person you may want to try one of the other drink options. Have you seen what happens when you lift a portion of a large, completed, jigsaw puzzle off the table? That sort of thing is exactly what happened to the patties in my double burger as I attempted to open it to add ketchup and mayo. The patties literally fell apart. I don't know if they make the patties on site or they are shipped here from some other location, but these were horribly made (and not that flavorful). Plus the burger had exactly one leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato on it. Those mayonnaise packets are also quite difficult to open, even when tearing at the designated "tear here" spot. I had to try 3 packets just to get one to open, and only because after starting the tear across, I had to pull down to create an opening. I shudder to think how difficult these would be to open by someone with arthritis in their hands. As much as I like Shake Shack, this was absolutely the worst set of patties I've ever had for a purchased burger. The shake, on the other hand, was delicious, and somewhat redeemed the overall meal, but not by enough. Getting to this restaurant is a challenge too, but that is a problem with whoever designed the lot layout for the Christiana Mall. The number of left and right turns to get to their parking lot was absurd. Also nice shrubs placed too close to the intersections within the parking lot make it almost impossible to see oncoming traffic to your left. Stopped here for lunch with Steph and Alex on NYE. It wasn't crowded and we ordered right away. I went with the Smokeshack burger, cheese fries and the chocolate peppermint shake. Wow, that was so good! The Smokeshack burger had thick bacon and shack sauce on it. It was juicy and delicious! The shake was amazing, thick, chocolaty and with the right amount of peppermint. And I'm pretty sure that was an entire day's worth of calories. This Shake Shack is just as good as the one in NYC if not better because no lines! read more

This is the shake shack closest to our house. We came for July 4th to get burger at beer because we just moved here and don't have a grill yet. This shake shack is quite big with a lot of tables. Second time I've had shake shack and the burger was pretty good. I got the Smoke Shake burger because I wanted the bacon. This location was definitely trying to figure out how they were going to fulfill the large load of curbside pick ups and they did pretty okay. There is not too many dining establishments that I'm willing to drive 1 hour and 40 minutes each way to eat at except Shack Shake. It's the one and only. I don't do it often but think nothing of making that long of a drive for one (or two) of their delicious char broiled burgers. Don't even get me started on that shack sauce. It's condiment crack. Yesterday I made the long trek (unable to log in due to app problems) which was my first visit since Covid. I think they have a pretty good system, efficient and organized, and most of all safe. You can order online or in person and wait outside (or in your car since they send you a text) to let you know when you can pick up. They have attendants that routinely assist the crowd outside and keep things flowing quickly. They will let you know when it's ok for you to go inside and place your in person orders. It's a system that ran smoothly. While inside dining is closed presently the restrooms are open as well as outdoor dining. Or you can do what we do and just eat in the car. Just like every other experience the food did not disappoint. My only regret? Not getting more burgers for the road! read more

Not all bad but not a stand out either. That sums up my experience with the relatively new Shake Shack on Fashion Center Blvd., near the Christiana Mall. The location is prime near all of the brand new shopping establishments and there is ample parking. The inside is casual but a step up from other fast food restaurants. If you have never been to a Shake Shack, know that the menu is tailored and there isn't a wide variety of sides or a ton of crazy ice cream flavors. That being said, as I vegetarian I LOVED the shroom burger option and the veggie dog option. I chose the Shroom Burger and it was very flavorful and unique! Dining here comes with a higher price tag than other fast food options and for that reason some things should be elevated and stand out in comparison. While the service was fair and adequate, it would be nice if the staff explained or asked if patrons want things like lettuce, tomato & condiments on the burgers. Higher customer service would be go a long way in differentiating between lower priced options. All of our food was not hot/warm, the fries were mediocre but could have tasted better if they were served warm. The drinks did not all have adequate ice. These are the simple things that are easy fixes. My meat eating dining companions all agreed that the burgers had great flavor and in comparison to other burger joints, they didn't notice a huge difference in size. The burgers and concretes come in single or double options. Shakes and fries come in one size only. The portions compared to the prices are not great. read more

I had two orders and there was this black young girl with glasses and short hair. I got partially of my two orders. I told her that, she forgot the two drinks and two french fries. I told her in a nicely manner. She gave me an attitude and she threw the food to me over the counter. She didn't even say bye or have a good one. She was extremely rude. Shake Shack never disappoints. The burgers are always juicy, and fries are slightly crispy. The cherry peppers are nice and tangy. The only thing they could improve upon- when it gets busy, the burgers come out pink and undercooked. Yuck! read more

Well... Well.... Well.... Finally I had a chance to try out the famous Shake Shack while passing through Christiana on my way to Philly today. It did not disappoint! The building has a great modern design with windows around 2/3's of it letting the natural light pour in. The tables, benches and booths are a nice wooden design and plentiful with wide isles in-between for easy navigation. I popped in the door about 11:15am and the location was already about a quarter full. After looking at the board and talking to the lady at the register, who was very helpful BTW, we discussed what I should try. Basically she had the same idea as me. A Bacon Cheeseburger, loaded. I also ordered crinkle cut fries and a coke. In little to no time at all my food appeared on a metal tray and after grabbing some condiments and napkins I went and found a booth. The burger was nicely stacked with all the items and the fries were golden! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love it when a place takes the time to make it's food look as good as it tastes. I dove in! The burger was delicious. It was smashed and the sides were brown and crisped. Then it was topped with thick slices of bacon, onions, pickles, tomato and lettuce. Wow, this is how it should always be done. My only complaint was that I should have ordered a double. I just finished telling my brother about the place and have a feeling that I'll be stopping in again while I'm in the Philly area or at least on my way back to VA. I hope Shake Shack works their way down to the Hampton Roads area of southern Virginia. We could really use a burger this good there. read more

The best burger ever reminded me of an In-N-Out burger . So it's the East Coast burger vs. the West Coast burger. Ordered the double shack and it was the most perfect looking burger ! I loved the Martins potato roll and that it was cooked in a iron skillet . Crinkle cut fries were really good with cheese but In-N-Out has better fries. The price of Shake Shack food was really expensive compared to In-N-Out , but the Shake Shack's got a better tasting burger. For a limited time they have the cherry blossom lemonade or shake for spring. I got the lemonade which was super sweet . Taking one star off secondary to I asked for a to go menu and waited , and waited, until my time was up and I had to go. I had to ask for my receipt. I was told several times that the manager was having to print the menu! huh? See you next Wednesday and hopefully I will be able to GO IN the restaurant. A family of four left hungry. $29 for lunch and for not a lot of food. First off they charged $7 for an itty bitty mushroom burger. There are no combos/meals and everything is a la carte which makes everything ridiculously priced. There are no kids meals. That's a huge negative for families trying to budget when eating out. It feels like a total ripoff. The burgers at five guys and smashburger are twice the size for the same price and taste better too. There's only one size for fries! My bf didn't even get a burger and I didn't get a drink and we split one cheese fry amongst all four of us for $29! They also do not offer and promotions when you download their app. Deleted the app and not coming back. I suggest you do not come here especially with your kiddos. Been here multiple of times and always the food is fresh and made to order. I usually get the double smoke burger, but this type of opted for the shack meister, which tastes even better! For anyone who likes to eat, a single is not enough. Don't skimp out and get yourself a double. The burger has a nice spicy sauce with fried onions, a thin patty that makes the burger with its flat and crispy exterior along with a potato bun, which in my opinion is great cause the sweetness mixes and compliments the saltiness. Fries are super crunchy on the outside, rigid cut, and soft in the inside. I like their fries because it's like the McDonald's fries but bigger in terms of what you want out of a French fry. I've always had a great experience, they get my orders right and food taste amazing. Overall it was a good spot to choose. I feel like they should've had more shakes to choose from for specialty shakes, other than pumpkin, cookies and cream. With that being said the smoke shack burger Was delicious even the little cherry peppers on top made it unique and different from other burgers, it even was a double patty burg yup burg (short for burger). I am soooooooooooooooooo late at getting to this review but I am so happy this place opened it in DE!!! Hands down best burgers, softest buns, great fast service. My bf and I only get to go out on weekends and we always get here with a line out the door but it moves fast! You get a little buzzer that tells you when your order is ready. I have had the regular shackburger and just the taste of the beef taste better than other places. I have discovered the ShakStack and I am not going back! It is amazing. I recommend everyone get it. It's the shackburger but with shroomburger patty in it as well! That cheesy breaded mushroom alone is lifeee!!!! I'm always happy when I eat but this was bliss. Seriously everyone must get it, and hey if you don't like it just take the shroom patty out and eat the burger. My bf ordered the smoke shack and I took a HUGE bit of his. Really good as well. Only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that they serve just regular ole crinkle cut fries. They serve beer and wine here, which I didn't know but I am more serious about these shakes/floats!
