Decent location, but service can be a bit slow late into the evening. I usually only see 1 cashier running the register after 8:30 PM. There is a decent amount of customers still coming through, so this can cause 5-10 minute waits to check out. Other than that the place is clean, the selection is decent and they are usually friendly. The only other issue you might run into is getting out. I love WaWa. I love WaWa subs. I love WaWa gas. I love the name, "WaWa." What I do not love, however, are fruit flies. I do not like them SAM I AM, I do not like fruit flies on my hand. I do not like them near the soda fountain, I do not like them on top of a mountain. Really, this is not a bad WaWa location, but I would avoid getting a fountain drink. It doesn't seem that they do a good job of keeping the area clean, as there were numerous fruit flies around the area last night, and obvious signs of mildew in the catch drain at the bottom. Having worked fast food many years ago, I know exactly what causes both of these things, so I promptly stopped filling my cup and left it there. No way am I taking a chance. Twice in one week that I've wasted nearly an entire lunch break waiting for a curb side order. One sandwich. After I finally had to walk in and get my order myself, it was cold. There is no better convenience store. In fact, there's no better place to stop for a hot drink, either. The staff here is always polite and quick. The place is always being cleaned. The offerings are varied and in bright displays. They have hummus and pita snacks, or little fresh veggie snacks, hot breakfast sandwiches, and subs. They also have all those other things you find in other gas stations... chips, colored cold drinks of all sorts, and gum. But what brings me back time and time again is that hot drink buffet. People will probably judge me because this is my second review of Wawa (Keep in mind this is a different location). I say judge me ... I LOVE WAWA!! They can successfully handle almost every shopping need I have and its the place I make the most visits to besides home and work. Most folks that know the Rosedale area would probably expect the worst of this Wawa simply because of its address. Well I'm here to tell you small minded individuals that this fine store finds a way to rise above!!!! They pride themselves in being better than the common quick-E-mart no matter the obstacles in their way!! Like all Wawa stores .... I found cheap smokes, cheap gas, my 44 ounce cold fountain beverage, and dinner. That's right ... a lot of my dinners come from this very establishment. One word - Delicious. On this particular evening, I decided to have two 1/4 pound hot dogs. A good choice on my part because its a quick grab and they are consistently as good as a hot dog from Camden Yards. I grabbed my dogs, my coke and headed for the register. I got in line behind a man .... whoops that's a women. No big deal it happens. I liked this lady. She was an obvious fan of my fav convenience store. She bought gas, two packs of smokes and had a fountain beverage! BUT the best part was that she had two hot dogs. How about that, we had the same order for our separate Wawa trips. This lady was alright in my book. THEN ....... She turned toward me and uttered something that I have never heard before. In a voice deeper than mine she says "I had two dogs from that case back there ... but they weren't no good. You see, I'm IN the hot dog biznuss (that's business for the rest of us) and I KNOW bad dogs. I made that girl behind the counter make me fresh ones." W T F ?? ... she paid and left. I walked to the counter and when the cashier said "Is that it?" I politely told her I didn't want my hot dogs anymore. I walked out shaking my head and still hungry. Yet I was satisfied in another way. I doubt that I will ever find another person so proud of their profession. More importantly ... Every time I visit this store, one of the employees seems to sit around and gossip a lot. If she's working when I come in the store, I always hear her complaining and making fun of other employees, sometimes even customers. This is very unprofessional and it makes me not want to come back. She's very rude. I hope something is done about this girl. I think her name is Kayla or Kyla. She handed me the change and it was almost all over the counter (some coins were at the place where my hand couldn't reach but hers). All I needed was a bottle of water. The line was all the way back to the soda machine, mainly because several employees were standing around while one lone cashier tried his best to handle the rush. While waiting in line, I decided to grab one of those jalapeño and cheese stuffed soft pretzels at the counter, in one of those warmer boxes. Then once I was halfway to the front, another employee decides to take the second half of the line, starting with me - YAY right? Nope! He actually took the last guy in line first! Okay, I do my best to keep from spazzing out... and I waited... and waited. He finally rings me up, and I'm out the door. I drive out and I'm sitting at the light at Rossville and Pulaski... long light. So I decided to munch down on that spicy little friend of mine in the bag next to me. I bite down and immediately discover two things - 1, I'm lucky I have strong teeth because it was like biting down on a pretzel shaped brick... and 2, All the filling (if there ever WAS any filling) had bubbled away.
