$3.71 per gallon I'm assuming this is an update as I have 23 check ins here over the years. And I'm so sure I did a review in the past for this gas station. Yes, I know they have a convenience store here as well, but we are here usually to grab a quick gasoline fill up and head out to our errands. This station is one of a few that we regularly frequent depending on where we are doing our errands that day. As you have read previously -- if you have ever read my reviews -- we have a wawa credit card. Paying with the card assures a discount on each gallon of gas that we purchase. This discount makes it worthwhile to seek our the nearest wawa whereever we are traveling. I'm sure we will be back when one of our cars has a low tank and needs some fuel. read more

I do a lot of traveling by car so I stop by a lot of convenience store gasoline stations to fill up. My favorites of late are Sheets and Wawa. I've found them to be cleaner, more orderly in having better displays, cleaner restroom facilities and more polite staff members than the others, particularly those of 7-Eleven which seems to be on a horrid downward slide. Of the Wawa's (which name incidentally comes from its founding in Wawa, Pennsylvania) this particular one is even better than most others. It has a has a perfect corner locating on Federal and Sample with decent parking, outdoor patio dining and best of all a huge walk-in beer cooler with huge assortment of beers from local craft to imports. It's also clean, has a polite professional staff and some of their food bites like their sourdough cheesesteak are pretty go and made fresh for you. read more

God bless whoever decided to put a WAWA somewhat near me. Any drive is worth a drive to Wawa. But this location is really kind of great- other than the fact that it's uber busy all of the time, it's still my favorite. Of course I like it because it's clean and new. Tons of employees, even though I know most of them were flew in from other locations to help out with the opening, there are people everywhere to help you. My favorites at Wawa are: Italian hoagie Soft pretzel Iced coffee (self serve) Not to say that other things aren't good, but those are my favorites. Things not to get: self serve donuts why? Because I've seen too many people grab donuts with their bare hands and then put them back. N-A-S-T-Y. Not Wawa's fault per say, but just stay away. Fun confusing place . If you don't know technology your in trouble cause you have to go to a computer and pick out your sandwich. A few screens pick meat condiment bread toasted . This is my favorite Wawa! I have been coming for years since it was first built. Super clean & always staffed. The chocolate chip cookies by the register were .99 then they went up to $1.09 now they $1.29. Still worth it as they are delicious cookies. During the holiday times they had mashed sweet potatoes which is freaking delicious. Runner up to Boston Market. Now I tried the dinner they offer hamburger & fries. Trash! Don't even waste your money. I really wish I had returned them for a refund. The burger was ok but the fries were horrible. Not cooked right, soggy & down right nasty. Wawa has finally made it to South Florida. I went to school in Philadelphia so Wawa is a familiar place for me and I am glad to have some within driving distance in Broward County. From my place in Ft. Lauderdale, I still have to drive about 10-15 minutes, either north or south, to get to the nearest Wawa. I decided a little drive would be nice anway and headed to Lighthouse Point to order a hoagie for a late lunch. Not only is Wawa larger than your normal gas station/convenience store but it's pretty much a small grocery. They have an impressive selection of snacks, drinks and pretty much anything else you could want. The most unique experience is the computer touch screen ordering system. It is easy to follow and use. It lays everything out with pictures. A regular hoagie is $4.99. I ordered mine with double meat which is an extra $2.50. Comparing the size and price, it is a heck of a deal. You can also order a salad or panini and items can be made hot or cold. This location was relatively busy, located on the corner of Sample Road and Federal Highway. It is new so it is still bright and shiny and clean on the inside. The staff I encountered were all friendly and compared to my experiences at 7-11, Speedway and Racetrac; there is no comparison. Thank all the powers above there is WAWA in SoFlo!!! And its UBER close to my home!! I am from South Philly and every visit back home included a stop (ok several stops) at WaWa. Not your typical gas station. Now that locations have been popping up all over South Florida, I am a very happy girl. This location is really big! Obviously super clean since its brand new and they have all my favorite food and snacks from back home. On my first visit I stocked up! I had to get a hoagie! I really love their ordering system. You just walk up to the computer touch screen (they have 4-5) punch in your order and shop around while you wait for them to call your number. Super easy and convenient. I am a fan of all things Wawa-but this one was really special. They had a very nice cashier who was a Fireman in New England-very friendly and efficient. Ordering on the touch screen is convenient also. The only problem was we ordered a smoothie-the smoothie wasn't the problem tho-the problem was there was only one person behind the counter and we couldn't get her attention when our smoothie was sitting on the shelf waiting to be enjoyed. That smoothie sat there so long that the seasons changes and the moon changed phases twice. When we finally just grabbed it, there was no straw to be found-thy probably biodegraded while we were waiting on the smoothie. BTW the Smoothie was delicious-totally worth the wait. read more

I am one excited girl!!!! Wawa is everything! It lives up to all the hype, I promise. If you've never ever traveled up the east coast, then you probably haven't ever experienced one. If you have though, this one is obviously standard, filled with all of your favorite things. Even the pretzels!!! For awhile none of the Florida locations offered them. But if you are someone who has never been, then this part of the review is for you. I'll start again with the pretzels. They are giant soft pretzels that are sold at the checkout counter. They even have them in a half size. Both under $2.00. Must have! There are even a few stuffed options. But I recommend the regular. Their ordering system is pretty simple. They have a ton of screens setup in front of the kitchen, probably like 6, then they also have a few more in the coffee area. Which is great, so you'll most likely never have to wait for one. It's all touch screen, and everything is in simple to understand categories. Lunch, breakfast, dinner, sides, drinks. With options for special instructions. It will print that receipt out right there and you walk it over to the checkout counter. Make sure you do this immediately after ordering because it needs to be paid for before you pick up your order. They'll call your order over the intercom when it's ready. Go up to the counter at the kitchen to pick up. Their hoagies are awesome. Their Mac and cheese is good, I personally love their soups. Chicken corn chowder is amazing. Their specialty coffee and lattes are made through this system as well. Right now as a special promotion they are all 1.99 any size! They have really good fun flavors and varieties. If you just want regular hot coffees; they have an entire bar for that. With about 7 different types you can choose to pour from. Then they offer every kind of milk to add to it. This coffee right now is free! Gas is always the cheapest as well. And it always will be. 1.99 right now. It's also a tradition to hold the door for the person coming in behind you, so make sure you uphold that standard. Open 24 hrs!! So it's great for late night dinners! Between Tangela, Ishmael, and Bri you'll get great service. They always go above and beyond. Other than that the rest of the people working there are clueless. The female manager is completely oblivious to what's going on in the store. Her obvious favoritism of the worst employees there shows why this location will never reach its full potential. It's a shame that you take the surveys and want certain employees to get recognized, but they never do. It's waste of time. Then when you ask the manager why they weren't recognized, she turns it on the employees and calls them "a bunch of jokers" for supposedly not seeing what she posted. Everytime I try something from there it is disgusting. I just ordered a black forest ham and swiss pretzel roll and the cheese was hard. The ham was four different colors. I first went in to Wawa the 2nd day they were open. It was an absolute mad house with the amount of customers that were there. I was however greeted immediately upon walking in the door by a staff member who asked me if I had ever been to a Wawa store before. I had not and told her I was here to try one of their sandwiches I've heard so much about. She walked me to a computer and guided me through the ordering process. I've since been back multiple times to purchase a variety of things. The convenience and customer service is 2nd to none. I was very impressed. Sad to say I've not purchased gas there considering it's also a gas station. But the appreciation of my experience goes to show Wawa is much more than a gas station. People need to know about this place, specifically one of the employees- Sophia. Every time I have gone in to the store she's always a friendly face. Her positive attitude and all around loving demeanor are two of the main reasons why I continue to visit. Sophia is an example of what we should all strive to be more of, this world can use more people like her and I hope this review finds its way to her because she needs to know that she makes an impact on people. Doesn't matter what time of the day I go in or whether she's at the start of her shift, the middle or the end she always has a smile on her face and something nice to say. This was my second experience at Wawa and I was not impressed the first time and am thoroughly not impressed this second time. I purchased a Sizzli breakfast sandwich that indicated bacon, egg and cheese and when I got home to eat it, it didn't have any cheese on it. I also ordered a frozen mocha cappuccino expecting it to look like the picture on the ordering station...whipped cream and all. After a 15 minute wait for my drink, it didn't have any whipped cream or topping on it. It's only saving grace was it tasted good. From Philly and worked in a Wawa decades ago so was excited to see it locally and frankly couldn't wait. Have to say I was less then impressed. Store is dirty and disorganized on the inside and grossly dirty outside. Two tables to sit at outside? Who is the moron who designed the location for a high volume location. My sandwich after waiting ten minutes is nothing as in not even close to what I know of the brand back in philly... far better places to go around here. Ordering the sandwich the kiosk is a horrible design and confusing to use.
