This is NJ, the state where there is no self serve. When will corporate realize that they are losing a ton of business because no one will come to pump the gas. While I give Wawa as a brand 5 stars, I tend to judge the locations against other Wawas! This location, right where route 38 and route 70 split, is the crème de la crème. It's a Super Wawa with a full gas station, with easy access from both highways. It's always busy, so the employees are usually on top of their game to get you fueled up and back on the highway. The inside is the modern Wawa style, with a full selection of all the new items (i.e. custom salads). The coffee bar always has fresh coffee because they're busy and go through a lot! And since they're busy, if I'm ordering food I like to do it ahead through the mobile app so I don't have to wait for it to get prepared. The one downside to this location is that it's so busy the parking lot is always congested. But people are quickly in and out, so parking is not hard - just the traffic. read more

"Accounts payable, Nina speaking...just a moment." I wish I didn't like Wawa's coffee so much. On the days my business takes me to Nj, the need for caffeine is paramount. After crossing the Ben Franklin Bridge, Wawa affords one the first opportunity to fortify one's self for the day with a cup of dark caffeinated goodness. I like the coffee, but I hate going in to get it. The new staff takes rude and indifferent to bold new heights. This was not always the case. There used to be one or two consistently pleasant girls (Heather and the other name escapes me). I didn't mind waiting in their lines, even if they were longer, because they actually spoke to me...in English. Now, as it pertains to the counter, my feelings (on approach) range from ambivalence to angst. One young lady reminds me of "Nina" from office space. She stands there, stares into space, and repeats the same line over and over again in an insanely annoying, nasal vocalization which only loosely resembles English. It shouldn't bother me...it bother's me though. It's okay to talk to the customers Wawa!!! You can take your computerized sandwich screens down and opt for speaking to me!! It's also not politically incorrect to require your employees to tone down the apathy, and turn up the language skills. But then again, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. read more

Cheap gas here. About 15 cents cheaper than the Turnpike, and away from Philadelphia heading towards the Turnpike. Adds a star from two. The service here is a little slow, and the drivers tend to come from all directions, so watch out (that's why I say two stars, normally). read more

A steady diet of custom-made Shortis, Wawa iced tea and late-night pints of Ben & Jerry's (often purchased with cash from the fee-free ATM machine in every location) got me where I am today. The addition of gasoline at below-market prices and halfway decent public restrooms to the impressively scaled "Super Wawa" of today was the coup de grace -- never have I ever encountered a convenience store of the same caliber. Employees behind the sandwich counter were very vocal about "being ready to walk out - and I have only been here an hour". That is not exactly what I like to hear as a customer from the people making my food. Overall. The store is clean and service is pretty quick, and you can't beat the gas prices they have. Overall a pretty good Wawa, but employees were rather unprofessional especially since every customer in the whole place could hear them. read more

I cant remember what WaWa I went to...I also had no idea what a WaWa was. Ok I am a girl from Chicago who had no clue that you don't pump your own gas in NJ. So first I argued with the attendant...saying that I would pump my own gas...then he finally reasoned with me, it was late and I had a 2 hour drive in front of me...I finally gave in and I asked him if I could get a snack inside while he pumped my gas, he said yes with a smile. Please note in Chicago generally if someone tries to pump your gas he may be homeless or someone is trying to mug you at the gas station. The WaWa I went into was huge....it had everything your little snack filled heart desired. I enjoyed my visit immensely (yes I am still talking about a gas Station). The clerks and associates were nicer than any other convenience/gas station I had ever been to. I got my Powerade, gummi bears and Milky Way caramel and went on my happy way. I would come back and visit again and next time I will remember I will let the attendant fill my tank and not argue with him or her. read more

Though this is not my go to location it is very convenient as it is located between rt 38 and 70. It also has a gas station. You can also easily access the benihana parking lot by turning into this wawa. Overall showing it's age but serves it's purpose. Grab a coffee and fill up. read more

It's a super Wawa, meaning it has a convenience store and fueling stations. For that reason I give it 2 stars. I do not however recommend this Wawa location as your stop. Almost every time I've stopped here, there has been at least one panhandler standing out front. They are not typically aggressive but they are bothersome when you enter and leave the store. I don't know what steps the management takes to enforce a non-solicitation policy here but by my experience if they do it's not put to use. At my last visit earlier this week I was accosted by two separate individuals looking for spare change. I don't particularly feel safe here after dark. read more

This Wawa is in a great location and price for gas is good. Although I sometimes love not having to pump my own gas, I find that this gas station is slower at pumping than other gas stations in the area. The gas attendants move quickly but the place is so busy that they often can't keep up and sometimes I am left waiting for someone to either pump my gas or collect my money and close my gas tank. As far as the outdoor crew at this Wawa goes, they're all Aces... But going inside to the food market is another story all together. There was a problem with my credit card. I called the store to clear it up and the assistant manager decided to begin lying to me. He told me that there was no active manager there what-so-ever. Yet, one minute later, he told me that there was a customer service manager that was there...only he was busy so I couldn't talk to him. Anyone that has ever worked at a cash register would never buy that BS. Not when there is a problem that only a manager should handle and surely not when the customer's money is involved. The truth is that my money was missing and he didn't know why so instead of answering what questions he could, he cut off my sentences and tried absolve responsibility by lying. I need to get this out so other people do not suffer from this business as I have. I USED to go to this Wawa for gas until I began having an issue with my vehicle. My check engine light came on and I went to the dealership to have my vehicle serviced. $129 later for a diagnostic test, it was revealed that my gas cap was broken. Now, this is literally the ONLY place I get my gas at, and as we know, in NJ they pump your gas. A gas attendant had BROKEN my gas cap off. When I called the store to speak to a manager about this issue, I was told, "can you call back in 10 minutes he's really busy?" Um.....OK..... So figuring wow he's really busy obviously to busy to even speak to a customer I'll give hime 30 minutes. So, 30 minutes I call back later, again ask to speak to a manager and AGAIN was told, "yeah....he's busy, can you call back in like 15 minutes?" After responding, "no not really, I already was told to call back in 10 minutes, the person on the other end said, "well I'm sorry I can't let you talk to him" CLICK...hung up, yes just HUNG up on me. Never got to speak to a manager. Tried calling back later that evening at around 9:30 pm when someone ELSE said the same thing, "can you call back in 10 minutes he's busy rigt now?". This is unacceptable. Clearly there's a manager here that is too busy to even speak with the people that are keeping his business RUNNING. It gets worse. After NOT going here for gas EVER again, I still figured I'd go in for food as it is convenient and on route to my job. Got a fruit cup and cofee despite flys hovering over the soda and cofee counter (dirty and gross) and actually asked to speak to a manager hoping maybe to talk to him in person about my previous issue. I was told he was, "in the back helping the food counter and can't speak to customers right now. You could always try back later." RRRRR this is crazy but I tried being polite thanked the woman at the cash register, paid for my fruit cup and cofee and went on my merry way. Get to work, open the fruit cup, take ONE bit of a grape, spit it out. It tastes funky. Grab a piece of cantelope and am in utter shock that there is MOLD literally green MOLD in the middle and through out the cup. Strike two Wawa. So, knowing how this turn of events would go down, I reluctantly decide to call Wawa. Ask to speak to a manager, GET THE SAME response as last time, HE'S BUSY CAN YOU CALL BACK IN 15 MINUTES? This is NOT acceptable, you break my gas cap, you keep a filthy store, you serve MOLDY fruit and YOU CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. It gets worse. I asked my boyfriend one day if he could grab me food at Wawa. There's a Wawa on RT. 70 that just serves food (no gas) and it's literally across from where he works. That's the one I go to now and thought he was going to grab food there. He instead was closer to THIS Wawa and got a salad there. Ugh, reluctantly I opened up the salad after arguing with him about even going to this wawa to buy ANY type of food, and yes, just as I had expected, white creamy slim on the turkey meat in my salad. STRIKE 3. I'm glad I didn't buy that salad, but I also didn't eat it either and I didn't even bother to call them on this because I KNOW what the response would be. Please, anyone reading this, save yourself your hard earned money and go to ANY other Wawa BESIDE this one. Oh and btw, I have NEVER had an issue at ANY other Wawa.
