Costco itself is worthy of 5 stars. If you know, you know. This location though, needs some work. The parking lot is a train wreck. Avoid on weekends unless you want to wait in 20 minute checkout lines. Don't sleep on the bakery items and grab a pizza on your way out. read more

I had an incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary experience at Costco during checkout. The cashier asked me a question that I genuinely didn't hear. When she repeated it, she did so with a very condescending tone, and immediately after began muttering under her breath, calling me stupid. It was shocking, weird, and completely uncalled for. Things only got worse from there. I handed her what I thought was a gift card, but it turned out to be the receipt for the gift card. Instead of calmly voiding my items and asking me to pull to the side to figure out where the actual gift card was (and why it was never emailed to me), she aggressively told me that I HAD to pay for my items. The entire interaction was awkward and humiliating. Obviously, I wasn't about to run out of Costco with a cart full of groceries. Eventually, another employee--who was actually kind and competent--stepped in and immediately figured out the issue. The whole situation could have been resolved easily and respectfully from the start. Instead, it turned into unnecessary emotional abuse. I'm sure this cashier is a miserable person who hates her life, but that is not my fault. The world is already cruel enough--why choose to add to that for absolutely no reason? I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who has to work with her and just has to keep their mouth shut and roll their eyes when she's not looking. On a positive note, the manager was very sweet, listened to my concerns, and handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, that doesn't erase the fact that this was some of the worst customer service I've experienced at Costco. read more

Had to get a tire repaired on our way to cape May, we called and Jason in the tire center took amazing care of us! He got our tire fixed in under an hour! I will absolutely be making the drive from Philly to this tire center in the future specifically thanks to Jason and all his help!!! read more

This was my first visit to the Costco in the large commercial zone that was once Garden State Race Track. Of course the developers went overboard by building more big box stores and their accessories small boxes; making for an even larger traffic nightmare than Heavy Chill (aka Cherry Hill) was before all this growth. So getting there from Philadelphia over the Ben Bridge was a challenge, but it was expected. Once there and cruising for a parking spot, the experience was pretty much as it is with any Costco - huge warehouse dwarfing customers and offering almost anything you want from a supermarket, but in multiple quantities of all items. Theoretically, you save buying this way, but that ignores the fact that you almost always buy more than you need, or can use before the "Use by" date. Theoretically, the trick here is to go with a list of what you need AND can consume reasonably soon, and go to the local market when only a small amount is required. Waste is a side product of all warehouse stores. But, aside from that, the hanger was clean and well stocked. We found the perishables we needed, the few items we could freeze or that wouldn't turn bad due to long shelf life, and were able to be in and out in about 30 minutes. And, of course we enjoyed their $1.50 foot long hot dog and drink before leaving. That is the best deal in the house. 4 Stars read more

Terrible customer service, stopped me at the entrance of the store because my QR code didn't appear (even though my Costco card/ID number and drivers license match - see attached pic). After shopping, they stopped me again at the checkout line and held my cart of food till I get a membership. They kept saying it was a system error, then they needed my info to send to corporate to fix my account.....even though my info matched, card to purchase membership matched, and many other forms of validating Im actually a member. Then I get surrounded by 3-4 members who obviously have no clue on what customer service is and tried to ring up my food (which was cold as hell) ....I ended up asking for entire refund of my membership and called it a day. I wonder if the situation would have been different if I was a middle age white man that fit the demographic for the area Feel free to reach out to me Costco...I'd like to get a membership again (that works) and switch my primarily store location. Well run store with friendly staff. Like all stores of this type, you need to know your pricing. Love the Kirkland brand of products, particularly their coffee pods and lasagna. Both are excellent deals. Great place to get a bit of exercise too - big place. I usually go on weekdays - to avoid the weekend crowds. Always fun to see what's new. read more

How about the employees learn how to be respectful of the customers. I asked Justonne why they wouldn't allow anyone with more than 15 items to go to self checkout. He said that's how it is. I've shopped at Costco's all over this country for years and that's never been a thing. I went 2 weeks ago and went to self checkout with a full cart. Just Justonne....looking like he chewed gum and pasted it to his front teeth...decided to tell me he knows why I wanted to go to self-checkout. Saying, "You want to do like you do at Walmart....slide a few items past the scale." First of all...I don't steal. I'm not broke and even if I was, it is not in my character to steal. That was very condescending coming from an employee to a customer. I've definitely made more money than his yearly salary in a 3 month span. I don't know if it's just the Cherry Hill location, but your food court lady is rude as hell while I listen to a front end woman associate screeching at some young guy associate to clock in like it's her business. the refunds ladies are miserable too then some of them at services try to get you to get a membership of double the cost that I don't need for a small family. I'll give it another chance since I just renewed but not sure if I'll renew after that. Some of the stuff in the store isn't really all that. I think Costco is a little bit overrated. Maybe it's just this location but it's the closest to where I'm around. Also I'll note the audacity of not wanting the people to walk around before they consider a membership and treat people like a criminal the moment they walk in and out of the door. At least BJs gives a pass before deciding and is cheaper and doesn't have Walmart quality people working for them like they do here. They do have a good tire center though and I do like some of the stuff they sell, however I don't think they're worth renewing more than two times and Wegmans has a lot of bulk products too around the same price with no membership read more

Great selection of goods. Solid quality merchandise is either reasonably priced or outright ridiculous bargains. Professionally staffed. Best hotdogs on the planet. The $60 annual membership fee is worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the CostCo/Citi credit card and earn 4% back on gas. Last year I earned $250. Tire Center is spectacular. 5 years of rotation/balancing/repair PLUS road hazard. All included in the price of the tire. Also, free installation. Most tires go on sale 2 times a year for even greater savings. And please book an appointment ahead of time. This is my favorite warehouse store. The selection is wonderful, the prices can't be beat, I love earning 4% back on my gas, and I have always dealt with very nice people! And I also use the tire center. I replaced my tires and they rotate them for free. One time I even had a nail in one of my tires and they fixed that for free. read more

Don't get me wrong I love Costco, but the people that work at the cherry hill NJ store are terrible. For the second time I had to deal with an ignorant gas attendant and this time the b wanted to refuse to pump my gas with only having 10 miles to go. I mean if you hate your job find another one and don't take your frustrations out on the customers. Wawa gas is more but for the most part they do their job and I never had anyone refuse to put gas in my vehicle. I really hope that lady gets fired so someone who actually wants to work and treat people nicely can get a job. read more

We nought red snapper fish on 6/23, they smelled really bad. we thought it was the packaging but was the fishes, even the white meat was very soft and easily smashed by hand. so they are either very old or something is wrong with them. read more
