The best Tire shop I've been to . You're in and out in 15 minutes with either a new tire or a used tire. Prices are affordable and fair

Came here two separate times for service…read more For the first time, I just replaced my brakes and rotors and might have introduced air into my brake lines so instead of bleeding my brakes and changing the fluid, I decided I'd come here instead. The service advisor was Angelo. He made sure I got taken care of as quickly as possible and despite forgetting to bring in my wheel lock, he was able to get the tech to bleed my brakes. The tech also said my brakes are fine but Angelo got him to check it again and bleed it anyways to get rid of any air. My brakes felt instantly better. Unfortunately, the reservoir was completely overfilled when I checked it so I had to go buy a syringe to remove some of the fluid myself. I also saw some fluid near the brake booster so I had to monitor it for leaks for the next couple days. This wasn't exactly the experience I expected. The second time I came in, I spoke to Angelo about getting my tire/tire valve looked at due to a flat tire. It was an hour before closing and he wanted to help but couldn't since most of the techs went home. He told me to return in the AM and he would get me helped asap. I did so the next day and he got my tire looked at, got the valve replaced, and I was good to go. It was a pretty painless experience this time. Shout out to Angelo because I was really expecting poor service but he did the best he could for me. He always kept me in the loop for what was going on while my car was in the bay.

If you are considering hiring this "mobile mechanic," please pause, take a deep…read morebreath, and maybe lie down, because what I'm about to describe is not for the faint of heart. This man rolled up to my driveway in a van that looked like it had already lost a fight with a tornado, a raccoon, and possibly its own sense of self-worth. He hopped out, spilled an entire soda, and said, "Don't worry, that happens." Sir. SIR. Why is that your greeting?? He opened my hood, nodded like he was understanding the secrets of the universe, then poked a totally random part and said, "Yep, that's your problem." When I asked what the problem was, he said and I quote, "Mechanic stuff." Thirty minutes later my car was making a new sound I can only describe as "haunted dishwasher screaming into the void." I asked him if that was normal and he said, "Cars make noises." Then he charged me an amount of money so offensive I think it might be a hate crime against my bank account. He drove away. My car died. In the same moment. Like they were spiritually connected and my car couldn't continue living after witnessing whatever he did to it. If you hire this man, may the automotive gods have mercy on your soul because he WILL NOT. i would give zero stars but, Yelp refuses to let me express the true depth of my suffering.

Finally that morning he came by. Told us the issues and told us what parts to get. We paid him $250 to buy the parts and $200 in labor. Not only did he get junked parts but none of them were good. I asked him to at least refund us for the money we paid in the parts. So he stopped responding. DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC. He took our car parts and sold them for cash and our car still isn't running. We've had to have another mechanic take a look and begin to work on the car. This was a very unpleasant experience I wish on no one.

Went in for a rough idle, which started after a high (but within spec) rev during downshift…read more Online research had indicated that it was likely a timing belt tooth slip at best, and at worst was valve or piston damage. I had been told on the phone by Schafer's that they had a diagnostic machine that could drill down to the exact cause of the error code. Not so. Their second level diagnostic, which would have cost over $200 except for a discount coupon I had received, did not diagnose the specific cause of the rough idle. They wanted to replace my entire EGR system and also fix a leaky valve cover, for a cost of over $2,000, just to start. They only gave all that a 50% chance of being the problem. The components in my EGR system are easy to test and do not require replacement if they are good. They listed a $241 charge for an EGR valve control solenoid, but my car's EGR valve is vacuum operated only, so I don't understand why that part was needed. The installation time was taken from "the book," and was hugely inflated over how much time is actually needed for this work, much of which I have done myself in the past. If a spark plug seal is bad, they should have been able to know which cylinder is misfiring from the diagnostic. When I asked for a pricing on a timing belt replacement, which they refused to do without the other work, their price was much, much higher than the estimate I received from a dealer. I previously had brake work done by Schafer's, which was unrelated to the current problem, and found their prices to be high for the work done, but lower than what Meinicke had wanted for the job. That led me to have confidence in Schafer's, but at this point I have lost that confidence.

I have done business with this shop on and off since it first opened and was one of its early…read moresupporters. I wanted to continue supporting a local business, but unfortunately my most recent experience was very disappointing. I brought my car in for repairs and paid approximately $650. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed that my instrument cluster was no longer working. My speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and odometer display had all stopped working. Because I had a doctor's appointment, I had to leave with the vehicle and couldn't immediately return. When I brought the car back and explained that everything on the instrument cluster had been working before I brought it to the shop, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. Instead of looking into the issue, I was told that I was just trying to get something for free. That was frustrating and disrespectful, especially considering I had just paid hundreds of dollars for the repairs. I also discovered that my transmission was leaking after I got the car back. It was not leaking before I took it to the shop. I can even document this with photos of my driveway, which had no transmission fluid spots before the repair. Now it does. This wasn't my first issue. Years ago, I paid around $500 to have gasket leaks repaired on my 1986 Chevrolet Silverado. The leaks were never resolved, and I was told I would receive a refund. I returned multiple times to collect it, but it never happened. Even after that experience, I chose to give the shop another chance because I wanted to support the business. I understand that running an auto repair shop is difficult and that some customers may not always be honest. However, every customer should be judged based on their own actions. I have always tried to be respectful and pay for the work performed. Being accused of trying to get free labor after paying for repairs was disappointing. My advice is to thoroughly inspect your vehicle before leaving the shop. Check that everything works, including your gauges, dashboard, and for any fluid leaks, before driving away. My experience left me feeling that my business was not appreciated, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this shop based on what happened to me.
