Tomato soup and Santa Fe chicken flatbread sandwich
    Carla N.

Soooo since Nordstrom's Cafe closed I've been searching for a place that has a good tomato basil bisque soup. And to my surprise my Lil ol neighborhood Wawa has the secret recipe!!! If you love tomato soup and grill cheese on a cold day you must and I mean must get this soup!!! It is soooo rich and creamy and flavorful!!! I'm in love!!!

It's just simple…read more Sometimes you just want a quick bite. Nothing fancy just something to tide you over. This place is it. Need a burger at 3am? How about a beef quesadilla at 1pm? Or chicken nuggets at 9? This place has you covered. The food is average, nothing to crave for, but it's filling and really aside from 7-11 who's going to give you a corn dog and onion rings at midnight? The staff is very friendly and you're greeted with a smile. And the food comes out quick. Overall three stars. There is a decent variety of items to pick from the menu. The prices are cheap and the food comes out hot.

I've heard so much about Cook Out but never experienced it until tonight…read more I'm not a fast food person. I'm in a continuous calorie counting mode. I save my calories for special treats. So I wasn't sure how I would feel about this spot that has drawn such praise. Tonight I was gifted a barbecue sandwich with coleslaw on the side from this Janaf area location. It was the best barbecue sandwich I've ever had. The barbecue was perfectly prepared with a sauce that had a little bit of a kick, just enough hot to really add to the taste. The pulled pork couldn't have been better. It had absolutely no hint of fat. Normally I order barbecue without a bun because the bun overpowers the barbecue. Not so with Cook Out. The bun was small & flat and the barbecue itself was the main course of the sandwich. The coleslaw was perfect. It was prepared without all the sauce that some restaurants apply in an over abundance. After my first taste of Cook Out I will now "brake for a stop" to have that yummy sandwich again. Hurray for a fast food restaurant that's tasty and prepared well.

Went here after 9 pm Wednesday night. Not many people inside with many open tables, so no wait…read more Staff were all communicative, friendly, and made light fun conversation. Though there weren't many people in the restaurant at all, the kitchen was really backed up and it took a long time for our food to come out. This didn't make sense at all honestly, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Didn't get to snap a picture, but they had a decent little amount of arcade games inside, which was pretty cool; wasn't expecting to see those in there. Also one of the dessert items I wanted to try: the salted caramel brownie, was out of stock, so I did have to change my dessert choice; unfortunately. To drink: I got the Watermelon Limeade (8.5/10) it was easy to drink, honestly just tasted like a fruity soda with a very tiny buzz to it. I would've liked it a bit more if it was a little stronger. Also tried the Dirty Berry Mojito (10/10) I absolutely loved the flavor of this Mojito and it was a lot stronger than the limeade. Def had a buzz after finishing it. After I was done, felt like I should've really just ordered two of the mojitos only. To eat: I got half Strawbenero BBQ (9/10) and half Spicy Garlic Ranch (6.5/10) boneless wings. The strawberry-habanero mix wings were really different and unique. When I first bit into them, I tasted the strawberry glaze and after a few more chews, that's when the spice settled in. I think it was different and actually pretty good. As for the spicy garlic ranch wings, I feel like they really tasted like regular buffalo sauce wings. I'm not sure if the kitchen mixed up what flavors I ordered, but they def tasted like regular buffalo and not anything garlicky or ranch flavor. Also did a side order of the loaded tots (2/10) the tots were cooked nice and crispy, but the loaded toppings had absolutely no flavor. There was chilli and cheese and after even giving the chilli a taste by itself, there was truly no seasoning in it at all. I wouldn't order this again. Also got dessert: the Cracker Jack Cheesecake (10/10) cheesecake is my favorite dessert, and I love the toppings of caramel and toffee; pretty sure it was supposed to have a chocolate drizzle on it, but the caramel was really good so no complaints. I totally see myself going back again, their hotdogs on the menu looked really really good and I would like to try some more of their unique wing flavors. My overall rate of experience : 7.7/10

I chose the Becca Burger, without mushrooms and their Steak Diablo Fries. They make everything fresh, to order with fresh ingredients. The burger was clearly freshly hand-packed, the jalapeños were freshly sliced, not pickled. Since they make it all fresh, you might wait a few minutes longer than the typical burger joint, but that's fine considering the amazing eats you're about to enjoy. My burger came out looking beautiful and it was definitely sitting tall! The flavor was excellent! Meat was great too!! I definitely liked having their chipotle mayo on it!! Those steak Diablo fries were incredibly tasty, with a nice kick, but sooo much more flavor than heat! The fries themselves were great, perfectly crispy and tasty, but adding all those toppings truly made it special! Service was nice... I had a few questions and she was helpful with the answers. Lastly, they have birch beer here, which I loved! Highly recommend stopping in for a great burger and fries experience!!

So we pulled up yelp and found fat Phillies. This is what I would call a classic Bodega/hood joint (They have all the flavors of Rap Snacks) that does a great job of serving up a good variety of sandwiches and sides at an affordable price. Now this establishment is housed inside of a convenient store in a strip mall that also has a Chinese food place and a couple of other establishments. This is a typical convenient store with groceries drinks and a couple of casino machines at the other end of the building. We pulled up to the counter as they were shutting down, so unfortunately, the wings weren't available. So we decided to go with the standard Philly cheesesteak, and fries. Sandwiches were ready in about 10 minutes and they were cooked to order. Both of us were very satisfied with the sandwiches. Mine did have a little bit of grissel and tougher meat, but not necessarily something I didn't expect given the price. Overall, this is definitely a place I would likely stop through every now and then just to grab some sandwiches and other items that I can't find in a Whole Foods.
