Kiosks are confusing no proceed to checkout button just constant upsells. Employees treat register like a disease. You have to ask for ketchup and salt. Used to be quick and easy but now I think they want to force you to the drive through. read more

The location of this Mc Donald's is very convenient. It's located on North Hampton Blvd in Virginia Brach. The location is everything and it's a newer establishment but.... due to the prime location they are normally very busy especially in the morning. Inside and drive thru is packed. This location has been renovated and has cool tablets attached to some of the booths which makes this location my sons favorite. Today the drive thru line went pretty quickly and I thought Wow today will be a great experience until I realized that the 20 price of nuggets seemed stale and old. Even my 10 year old agreed and normally he wouldn't complain. Upon asking for a fresh batch I was advised that I would have to wait and to pull into a reserved drive thru spot. My server did not seem too pleased. Your facial expression and body language seemed less than pleased but we want fresh nuggets! My experience here is a hit or miss. I do like that this location will make nuggets for breakfast. They are not readily available but you can order them. I have even ordered them over the phone for breakfast and picked them up thru drive thru. Not all Mc Donald's will accommodate nugget cravings for breakfast. Apologies no pic of old nuggets. Don't come here. Everyone was polite but the overall service is horrendous. We made our order, paid and they asked us to pull in the "C" parking spot. 5 minutes goes by, then 10. The people on either side of us in spots "B and C" left their cars and went inside to see what's up with their orders. 5 minutes later they come out with bags and drove off. We are now in the 20 min range. In the meantime, people are coming and going through the drive thru. We finally went in and canceled our order and asked for a refund. It is McDonald's so the food is pretty bad. The people working the drive thru were courteous. The chicken sandwich had zero crunch and the bun was a flat mess. The double burger was another flattened poorly assembled mess. The fries were soggy and half cold. Now I remember why I have not had McDonald's in a decade. Why do they charge so much? We came here to get dinner on our way home from a trip. There was no one inside but, we still had to wait to get service. Unlike other fast food joints in the area, this one had an open dine-in area so, we could use the rest room. When we went the restaurant was busy and the staff was slow and short tempered. I give this place a try now and again, but regret it most times. So why a 2 star, because they are that inconsistently good. That's right, they do have redeeming qualities that puts them above a dreaded 1 Star. Most often I hit up the drive thru for a coffee which they seem to handle. But if it's more than one item it often throws them off, but not always. Remember inconsistency is this stores hallmark. So yesterday my son wanted a 10 piece nugget. But the woman taking the order insisted this was a new item and charged $10. We went back and forth for a few minutes and I said ok. When arriving to the window I asked for the supervisor. The female manager quickly realized that the order was for a 10 piece nugget, $5. They do have a new item chicken item and apparently the cashier was hell bent on me trying it. The order was corrected and thank you to the quick on her feet manager. Arrived at the second window to a hot 10 piece chicken nugget as ordered. Why is life so hard? My son said were tasty and believe it, or not they have made them more healthy. I still rank this particularly McDonald's as one of the worse in Virginia Beach and darned if it's not in my typical path to the highway. 1.5, rounding up with the food and drink items typically fine. The service does not often even register on a 1-5 scale. Of course I will be back, I love this store. read more

Decided to give this location another try after a very bad experience 2 weeks ago. Went through the drive through and placed my order. Was told to pull off to the side and wait for my order. I got out my car at 11:45 and went inside and was greated by a very rude African American worker. I said I was looking for my order she had bags of food with no receipt on them to know what was in them. She asked me what I ordered then she went into the bags and started opening up the sandwiches and touching the fries. I stated I wanted a refund and the manager came and gave me and 6 other people refunds. This is the last time I will go to this location. This location is the worst location in Hampton Roads area and I recommend people do not eat at this location due to poor customer service, leadership, management and no QA process. A QA process needs to be put in place at this location. This is the 4th time I have waited over 30 minutes to get an order. Unfortunately after the worker was opening up the food items in the parking lot I requested a refund. I dont know whats going on at this location. But they need to get it together. Looking at the past reviews and upon the updated McDonald's I walked into..thank God for their fresh renovated modern appeal. I'd say the place isn't as clean to my standards but then again, it's McDonald's. I rarely eat McDonald's these days. Just a quick restroom run and quick bite. The restroom sink had mildew stains on the sink. I'd admit I was expecting worse of a restroom compared to other times I've been to McDonald's. It wasn't horrible. Renovations and modern look is nice along with the instrumental music in the restroom. The maintenance and up keeping of he employees working here is subpar standards. But I'd say I like the modern decor and the flat screen TVs. Wheel of fortune was on the tv and It makes the dining in experience worth it. They have regular seating and also bar style seating. I did not see any iPads on the tables. It was pretty empty for dinner time on a weekday. read more

I love McDonalds, but this particular restaurant is a fat NO to me. This will be my last straw, I am NEVER ordering from this restaurant ever again and you should not as well! I have ordered from this restaurant NUMEROUS times and nothing has changed since. Whether its picking up inside or curbside, the service is always too slow and I NEVER get my food on time before my break is over, im always having to wait 25-30 minutes and Im always the last one, the workers who is working drive-thru seem to get their food to the customers before me, and here I am thinking curbside pick-up is gonna be a lot faster than drive thru and the fact that I ordered something super small thinking it will be out in no time, I was wrong. How can a medium fries, and 6 piece McNuggets take 30 minutes to prepare and give it to the customer?! I do not have time to walk inside and ask about my order and watch them squirming around about an order that they may have gave to the wrong customer and possibly have to redo my order again, I will not do that especially when I only have 30 minutes of my break time. This is an excellent late night stop, but don't be too out of it to check your order. They move surprisingly quick for a late night bite, but the line wasn't very long. The fries were hot and fresh, and the chicken nuggets were warm with a fresh crunch. It satisfied the late night munchies, but not without upsetting my boyfriend who needs his sauce to make a sufficient McDonald's run. They unfortunately forgot all the 4 sauces he ordered. It was 100% on the receipt, so I'm unsure how they managed to do that when it wasn't even busy enough to warrant omitting the small stuff of a drive-thru order. They provided us 1 single ranch sauce for an entire 20 count order. Yikes. Another fast food location where you must check your order upon receipt of goods. The service was quick and easy, but never trust that it's accurate. It's pretty easy to maneuver through the drive-thru. I can't speak for cleanliness inside, but I would be back if ever getting back to my friend's house so late via highway. read more

Pulled in parking lot at 12:07. Drive thru has two lanes, both back up to street. I parked and went inside to order to go. Six people waiting for their order. One person ordering and one person in front of me. Employee taking order is having a personal conversation about her lipstick (what color it is, where she bought it, etc...) She looks up at me and I rolled my eyes. She knew I wasn't happy but she could care less. When it was my turn to order (it's now 12:14) she began to say how tired she was and that she had just woken up. By now you can imagine I have realized what a mistake it was to stop here for lunch. And then she checks her personal cell phone right in front of me. I received my order and left at 12:35. 21 minutes to get a regular menu meal, no special order. As I was standing around all that time I heard the order taker comment to several customers how busy they were and how it wasn't right for anyone to become upset. In my opinion they were not any busier than any other McDonald's I have been in at luchtime. In fact, they seemed to be less busy than the location on Virginia Beach Blvd. Apparently this girl missed the part about FAST FOOD and CONVIENCE. Terrible service which caused me to be late. The food I got was still frozen, the workers were extremely rude and hostile. They clame that most of their machines are not working which I understand, but I don't think machines break every week. If I could, I would give zero stars!! Terrible unfriendly staff! I ordered 2 mcdoubles no pickles sub Lettuce, small coke and a medium fries. I also specifically requested fresh fries. I pull up to the cashier and pay. I notice they charged to sub lettuce..cool no biggie. I pull to next window for the food. They tell me to pull up and they'll send it right out. At that I point I requested that they make sure there's ketchup, Mayonnaise, hot mustard and big Mac sauce. The lady looked at me...rolled her eyes and said sure. Literally 20 minutes pass before they finally deliver. I figured it's the fries..it'll be fresh..it'll didn't even notice it took that long... turns out..the fries are barely even warm!! No bullS**t...yes I sent it back...4 min later I get my hot fries.but by this time the other food isn't as hot as it was..any ways. Go to the hotel and guess what..they gave me the wrong fuc*ING order! I call and rude Nicole answers. I say good evening Nicole how are you. She says "fine".....to which I replied well I'm frustrated thanks for asking..can I speak to the manager! Manager get on..I ask for his name and he says "who are you"??
