We came for the free tire air pump, which is digital and very user friendly. Not too far from JSPO and pretty well run overall.

All my life, I've been hearing about The Wonders of Wawa from Jersey folk. Obviously, Jersey folk can't be trusted, so I finally investigated for myself last week. Friends, the tales you may have heard of these wondrous Wawas are true. 1st Wonder of Wawa: As we rode over in the car, one member of our party was concerned because he didn't want a large sandwich (because there were tacos to be had later). The Jersey girl among us said, "Don't worry, you can get a three-inch!" This is the first recorded time in history that this sentence was said as a positive. 2nd Wonder of Wawa: Upon arrival, we discovered that you can not, in fact, get a three-inch. But Ruggy got himself a sample of a delicious sub, which was about three inches anyway (Ruggy loves a good three-inch). They are giving away subs, people. 3rd Wonder of Wawa: They just handed all of us little samples of the ridiculously tasty Oreo shake. They are giving away shakes, people. 4th Wonder of Wawa: There are display cases full of snacks. I would eat every single one. Unfortunately, I try to limit myself to four or five meals a day, so I forced myself to choose: The Cheddar Pretzel. Now, most places that sell pretzels are lazy. They just make a pretzel, and give you some cheddar sauce to dip it in. Not so, at Wawa. Here, they STUFF the pretzel with cheddar, which negates the need for an external cheddar sauce, and reduces the amount of any sort of awkward dipping down to NOTHING. The cheddar is just IN the pretzel, for all your cheesy needs. All parties agreed that this was not just genius, but delicious as well. 5th Wonder of Wawa: I got a sandwich at a glorified gas station, and it was actually good. Much, much better than any gas station has any right to be serving. Plus, I had it my way. There's a nifty touchscreen that lets me order exactly what I want without ever having to talk to a human being.

I…read morewalked into Five Guys in Ocean Township not knowing what to expect -- and walked out wondering why I waited so long to experience burger heaven. Ocean Township, NJ - Route 66 Location Let me start by saying: WOW. I'm honestly still thinking about the lunch I had today at this Five Guys location in Ocean Township off Route 66. This was my very first time trying Five Guys -- and I had no idea what I was missing out on until now. Walking in, the place had a fun and casual vibe -- bright red-and-white tiles, open kitchen, the sound of sizzling burgers, and the smell of freshly made fries instantly put me in the mood for a good meal. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which made the whole experience even better. Now let's get into the star of the show: the patty melt. I had heard people rave about Five Guys, but nothing could've prepared me for just how delicious this was. The patty melt came out hot, fresh, and oozing with melty cheese layered between two buttery slices of grilled bread. The beef patties were cooked to juicy perfection -- flavorful and savory with that satisfying charred edge that makes each bite feel indulgent in the best way. Add to that the sweet caramelized onions and a subtle crunch from the toasted bread, and I was genuinely blown away. It's comfort food elevated to pure magic. And of course, I couldn't skip the fries. Five Guys doesn't just give you a serving -- they give you a mountain of fries, overflowing from the cup and spilling gloriously into the bottom of the bag. Golden, crispy, and full of that real potato taste you can only get from hand-cut fries, they were fried in peanut oil to perfection. Salty, satisfying, and dangerously addictive. The drink station was clean and fully stocked, and I loved being able to customize my soda with the Coca-Cola freestyle machine. Bonus points for how spotless the entire dining area was, even during what looked like a busy lunch hour. What stood out the most for me was the consistency and quality. Everything felt made with care -- not rushed, not over-processed, just real ingredients prepared well. As someone who enjoys discovering new food spots, I can honestly say this experience went above and beyond what I expected from a burger joint. If you're in the Ocean Township area and haven't stopped by this Five Guys yet, do yourself a favor and go. Whether you're a burger fanatic or just looking for a satisfying, flavorful meal, this spot absolutely delivers. I'm already planning my next visit -- and yes, next time I'll be trying one of their famous milkshakes. Five Guys, you've officially earned a new fan.
