This place is a treat to visit. I could probably live here if they let me. Staff is friendly and helpful and they make great hot chocolate.

It was inspired by the experience of coming upon and through the components of a Greek village and eventually making it into the big city of Athens. You can definitely feel that, but especially in the evening. The quality of the food and the space in which it is prepared and served in, are now commensurate. If you liked their family recipes from the original Old Olive Tree sit-down restaurant in Long Island, which were tweaked only slightly for the fast-casual The Avenue Viera location in Florida - then you should love how their new executive chef - Chef Andres, and his team, with their new equipment, have refined them with the family even more. Old favorites, and new dishes coming soon. The Beer & Wine of their original location has expanded into a full bar with robust beer & wine options. And...when the fine-dining restaurant opens upstairs, that will be next level - as the chef consultant from Greece has a 2* Michelin pedigree and Chef Andres (who also has a DC Michelin-level pedigree) studied with him in Athens last year to develop the new menu. I've been blessed to work on projects with Michelin chefs, we are very lucky to have that level of talent in Brevard again. The mixologist Tori has been concocting some amazing creations and sourcing brilliant spirits from Greece to build them. I can see drinks on the lawn being a popular thing there. It has its own 'entrance' so will be perfect for private events as well. And there will be the Greek bakaliko Market too - with beautiful products sourced from the familial homeland. Viera is lucky to have this and other new venues. For years we have come from Beachside south, and I know people that make the drive from south of Palm Bay and Vero Beach. To the north, from Titusville. Prices have always been fair for the quality of ingredients and the portions. I have never walked away hungry, ever. I personally am not bothered by the card processing fees if I choose to use a card. These card processing fees are exorbitant to the merchant, and although they too do not like them, they are to be expected nowadays to be passed on. Some of the POS systems embed them in your bill and others line-item them. This new system is line-iteming them, so I don't fault the restaurant for that. I am willing to pay a little extra for an outside seat and a pleasant space, as opposed to being claustrophobic. And the service? The staff has been increased greatly with additional front-of-house staff being added into the mix. We are always greeted by name when we go, and if it's someone we don't know, we are greeted with a smile. You can tell that the staff love their new environs. Robots speaking Greek with English translations replaced runners - and the runners were then retrained as attendants in the dining room, counter and expo. Total upgrade for everyone. It's quite pleasant having a dining attendant as opposed to a server. They never made you feel rushed but always made sure discreetly that you had what you needed. Very interesting way to reinvent fast-casual! If you don't enjoy the place, even just nursing a frappe and eating your way through layers of baklava, or you're enjoying one of Tori's cocktails with some delicious mezethes - you are really missing out! Kali Orexi!

An eclectic menu done right!…read more LongDoggers is one of those rare places with an eclectic menu where everything we've tried actually works. We've all been to restaurants with big menus that only execute one category well--or where the American food is solid but anything outside of that completely misses the mark. That hasn't been our experience here. This was our second visit. Two years ago, we happened upon LongDoggers while traveling to the drive-thru Bethlehem at Lakewood Park Church (which is phenomenal and highly recommended). Heading down again for the same event, we considered trying somewhere new, but the good memories of LongDoggers brought us right back. The atmosphere is casual with a bit of a sports-bar vibe, and the food is genuinely good. No photos this time because we were way too hungry to wait the extra five seconds , but I did grab pictures of the menu. Our table ordered the Blackened Shrimp Lettuce Tacos, a Banzai Shrimp Bowl, the Cool Ranch Chicken Sandwich, and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Every item was a hit. Entrées were $15 and up, especially with upgrades, and meals come with kettle chips. Service was another plus. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without hovering--prompt but not overbearing--and she shared the specials and offered recommendations. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped in around 1:00 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away inside at a booth-style table. By the time we left, there was a clear line and a wait. If you're passing through or looking for a casual spot with a varied menu that's executed well, LongDoggers is absolutely worth the stop.

All of the servers buzzing around so busy we're all super Florida friendly and very attentive. I got a hot dog with chili and sautéed onions. The dog was great, it had a good bite and was nice and meaty. The bun was substantial to hold up to the ample toppings. I wasn't a big fan of the chili, it was too sweet. The onions didn't stand out either. I got onion garlic french fries and they were F'ing fold. C'mon long doggers cold French fries how can you drop the ball on French fries? That said it's a fun place and the actual hot dog (sausage) has potential so I'd say go try it for yourself.

Mistakes happen." Mistakes may happen, but when they happen consistently to the point that when one wants a cup of coffee or an ice cream cone at a McDonalds, one drives 10 miles from one's home because the one within walking distance offers consistently poor service. I wish it would just close and have another food establishment in its place. Two weekends ago, I ordered a Door Dash Delivery of an Egg McMuffin meal with no sausage. I received a container with just the sausage -- no egg, no bread, nothing but what I didn't want. When I called the store, the young man said, "That happens. Look, I'll take down your name, and stop by sometime for another Egg McMuffin how you wanted it," and he hung up on me. On my way home from church, I went through the drive-thru for a cup of black coffee with several sugars and creams on the side. When the guy asked how many? 3 or 4 on the side? I said, "Please give me five each," thinking I make my own latte, but instead of giving me the creams and sugars on the side so I could make it myself to taste, the young lady at the window put all the creams and sugars in the coffee, herself! Then today, there was no Oreo McFlurry. I worked at McDonalds as a high school and college student from 1979 to 1980. The Manager was strict and required not only fast service and accuracy, but good service with a smile. If people make consistent mistakes and act as if they all hate to be there, they should be fired. That's what will happen when they grow up and work in the corporate environment or in any other job. That's exactly what will happen. Today, I ordered a meal with an Oreo McFlurry. Not only was the coke not filled to the top, but it tasted watered-down, and the Manager (girl) onsite said, "Well, what am "I" supposed to do about that?! Seriously, ma'am, what I am supposed to do?" When I responded, 'Well, for starters, when someone pays the exorbitant price for your junk food, the least you can do is oversee that your employees at the pickup Door Dash counter or in the drive-thru are actually doing their jobs correctly. And, it would be nice to be reimbursed when they are NOT." She had the autdacity to hang up on me. Then the phone was set to NO MESSAGES ARE BEING TAKEN RIGHT NOW. Instead of firing the workerbees. Fire all the Management. Get someone in there who not only knows what they're doing, but how to train their employees to do the job right. For many people, working at McDonalds is their first job after baby-sitting, pet-sitting, and lawn-mowing gigs. It's the first "paycheck" job. Ensure they take pride in working hard and getting things right. Don't let them get away with shoddy, uncaring work. There are too many people who don't take pride in their work, today. They probably started out working at a McDonalds where management didn't care enough about their work nor training their employees carefully and thoroughly. It may be a first job for many and not a life-long career, but make it count. Do everything correctly and with pride in your work, no matter how small or low the position.

First, they wouldn't seat our group together inside, which already made things awkward. Then the tables they did give us were ridiculously small--clearly not meant for a group with kids. They told us to move outside, so we did, trying to make the best of it. One umbrella was already open, and we opened another ourselves. Then staff came over, grabbed both umbrellas, and said they "didn't work" and needed to take them back--while being completely over the kids as they were closing them. It felt chaotic and inconsiderate. What made it worse? They had no problem leaving another family sitting comfortably with an umbrella. So clearly, it wasn't actually an issue. Overall, disorganized, poor communication, and not very accommodating--especially when you're dining with kids. Definitely not the experience we expected after calling ahead, and not somewhere I'd go back to or recommend.
