LOVE firehouse subs !! I'm all about subs and this place offers so much flavor in a bite. Always more food than needed but it's so good. Italian sub is my favorite with the dressing so yummy. Clean area and fast service

Here's a pic of the roach found in my sub.

We also got onion rings and fries. I was extremely happy with the single burger (made exactly the way it comes) and the onion rings were amazing. My only suggestion would be to get decent ranch for dipping. Their ranch sauce was not the vibe at all and everyone who love ranch like me, KNOWS it can make or break a meal. Their ranch sauce service was exceptional. Thanks for a great lunch. We will be back to try the dessert- deep fried Oreos and cheesecake bites! YUM!

First impression was lady who both waited on us at the counter and actually cooked out food was pleasant and personable. Second impression was a heavy smell of burning fryolator grease prevailed. However, our fried food was light and golden and tasted fine. Daughter had the small cheeseburger and fried cheese sticks, and I had the Philly Steak sandwich and onion rings. She had a root beer and I had a coke. Food was good but not outstanding. She said her burger was a half-step above something one could get at Wendy's. My Philly was a B- at best. Good but again, nothing outstanding. The real shock was the bill was $48!!! In my opinion, way too expensive for a "burger joint". Will I return? probably not but if I do I better bring my wallet! ;)

My favorite part is you can do flights. I ordered three soup and two slider flight. Soups: tomato basil and lobster bisque. Both were good alone but they mixed well too. The bisque was one of the better ones I've had. I could actually taste the basil in the tomato basil. Sliders: chicken salad and pimento cheese. Both were good, but alone without soup they're just ok. The best part of the sliders is they come on Hawaiian rolls. I would definitely go again since I love soup.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morelike to consider myself, at times, a connoisieur of soups. I love them all, and I don't even mean just the ones most people know of, but ones that are often passed over simply because they are not known. Good example: the savory cold soups that are meant to be cold, not just a hot soup you serve cold because you're lazy to wait a minute for it to warm up in a microwave. I will even go as far as to say that I love chili with beans... and without. Doesn't matter. It is a chucky soup. I like creamy soup. I like chunky soup. I like chunky and creamy soup. I like soup... and kudos to anyone who got the classic Eddie Murphy stand-up comedy joke right there. Anyways, The Soup Shop in, what I will call the part of Melbourne between Suntree and Melbourne Major (where Historic Downtown Melbourne) is located, right near the Eastern Florida State College Melbourne campus, is the original location (that I know of). I have been a couple of times, and every single time, it has been great. As a matter of fact, the Soup Shop answers that question I've asked which is, "What if there was a restauant that served an array of soups I can choose from?" Questioned answered and with flying colors, too. Pertaining to its ambiance, the Soup Shop doesn't exactly stand out compared to some of the decor these new restaurants seem to push as part of their experience. Instead, their decor is simplistic, but they so happen to really promote and push one particular artist as her paintings are all over the walls of the restaurant. As for the soup, I decided to get the flight, which is a sample (flight) size of three soups of your choice. Certain soups do have a specialty upcharge, specifically the bisques, and some can't be made in such because of how they are prepared, specifically the ramen. Despite that, there are a wide array of soup choices to choose from. You now, chunky soup, creamy soup, chunky and creamy soup. And to be serious for a moment, they also have soups that cater to special dietary needs. I saw a whole cooler full of ready-to-warm-up soups for bariatrics. As for the prices, they are not bad all. I think the soup flight was about $12, which is not bad at all for three soups a little bigger than a cup but smaller than a bowl. They also serve other food items such as sandwiches and desserts. My suggestion: the grilled cheese. Definitely pair it with the tomato soup. Ultimately, I am going to give the OG Soup Shop four out of five stars. They were outstanding the two times I went, but I need to try more of their food to see if they are consistent... because most people know that my fifth star is awarded after reviews (unless I've been to a business more than let's say five times) and they are consistent. I truly think The OG Soup Shop will be consistent, but you never know.

I ordered their lunch special Philly cheese steak 8 inch with fries for $18.50. The Philly cheese steak was seasoned to perfection. That being said the bread could've been fresher, It was chewy, the fries were standard, but cooked well. The person that served me my food & brought out my order was average/fair. I walked away with no feeling one way or the other about the service. My opinion is, I don't feel like I really got value for my money. The reason being, is because with the sandwich, I got no mayonnaise no lettuce, no tomato no pickles. It was a straight sandwich with no extras. Meat and bread. When I asked for extra onions, I was told it was gonna be an additional $1.50. I really couldn't even tell there was cheese on my sandwich . With all of that being said, the Philly cheese steak itself with the seasonings could have been a real showstopper with a little bit more love when preparing and giving the food. Maybe with some mayonnaise and lettuce and tomato help brighten the sandwich. It would be great! And fresh Bread. I would've walked away feeling like I paid for freshest fixings and a great cook on the Philly steak. Room for improvement.

The Intracoastal Amber Red Ale is a local IPA and was cold and refreshing ($6.50). My Aloha Burger ($9.50) consisted of a Teriyaki-Marinated Angus Beef Patty, Swiss Cheese, Grilled Pineapple Slice, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Creamy Teriyaki Aioli, all on a Toasted Brioche Bun. The Aloha Burger was marked on the menu as a local favorite and I found it to be very good. Be warned though, this is a pretty messy burger and if you don't abide by the old phrase of "finger licking good", then you might find this sandwich somewhat challenging, ha! My server was polite and efficient. The indoor seating consists of a bar area with 14 seats along an "L" shaped bar along with 4 high top tables. Also along the far wall there's 8 smaller tables. The outdoor covered patio area consists of both 2-person tables and also 4-person tables. There's also a smaller bar with seating for about 10 people. Happy Hour is Monday - Friday, 3-7pm, with $1.00 off wines and mixed drinks, $2.00 off drafts. All Day Specials include $3.00 Landsharks and $5.00 Margaritas. Also on Wednesdays they feature a "Burger & Brew" special - any burger and a craft draft for $8.50 (after 5pm only - much to my dismay). I will be back to try their tacos which look pretty amazing. Every time that I am in town I make it a priority to stop at a Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A is something that we do not have a New York. For those of you who don't know Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaurant that serves nothing but chicken. They serve grilled chicken sandwiches and fried chicken sandwiches using a pressure cooker which makes the chicken extremely moist and juicy. Just a note you cannot eat Chick-fil-A every single day if you do a check for every single day you will gain a lot of weight. They also have items for kids like grilled chicken nuggets. Chick-fil-A also has a healthy menu with alternative options. When ordering a sandwich at Chick-fil-A you can choose if you want to grilled or crispy you also have three different choices of cheese. Sandwich that I always get is the spicy chicken sandwich. Spicy chicken sandwiches actually spicy and when you bite into it you can see that it was battered with Cayanne pepper. The chicken here is so juicy that you actually don't even need condiments. Pricewise Chick-fil-A is actually relatively cheap compared to most fast food restaurants. Most of their standard chicken sandwiches cost around $3.50 to $4.50. For that price and the quality of the food I highly recommend Chick-fil-A. The staff at this Chick-fil-A is very good they seem like they really do enjoy their job they always have a smile on their face and the food is always prepared how you order it. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait here but that's because you know that they're making your food fresh it's not sitting underneath the hot lamp. Overall Chick-fil-A is really really good fast food. At this location everything taste fresh I highly recommend coming here the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back at this Chick-fil-A next time I'm in Melbourne.
